  1. It helps to build them if the films are successful. Morbis did $73 million domestically and was more known for being a meme than a good film. The New Mutants film feels completely forgotten as it did just under $24 million domestically. So yes, those things came out, but are they really building anything?
  2. The trailer didn't suck as bad as it could have. Honestly, the Spider-Man aspect felt tacked on. It felt like, "We need Spider-Man, but we can't afford him."
  3. On Netflix. It's fantastic. The storytelling in E5 is one of the best episodes one can see in a year. While the awesomeness of fights can be deemed lesser as they are animation, E6 was still pretty great for me. Invincible is top tier, but I have read the graphic novel for it, so it isn't as fresh as it could be. This feels like the best animation since Arcane. Con: Not family friendly nor recommended for people who like to watch things on the more conservative side of things. While much of the sex/nudity fits, the more problematic stuff will come from the brothel scenes. I was fine with it, but I'm just saying if your 10-year-old kid wants to watch it, yeah, that's going to lead to a conversation.
  4. Looking at numbers The Marvels will clearly bring in less than the latest Ant-Man movie while having better reviews, so it isn't simply that people will go since it is suppose to be good. I haven't seen The Marvels due to being busy. I actually thought Ant-Man was better than how much it got panned, but I did have issues with it. I can't recall what all, but it felt like they could have removed or deemphasized certain characters and used other character way more. Part of the issue here is at some point Marvel can't simply kick out shows and movies without the big name characters and come even remotely close to the same numbers in terms of viewers. Just imagine the Avengers without Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Loki, etc. Even if the movie content itself is really good, it is going to be really difficult to have people simply show up in mass. 'But they did for GotG.' And I don't suggest that as anyway to base on what is going to happen in the future either. I thought Ms. Marvel was fantastic. I'm just not sure how much that character is going to bring people to go to a movie theater. Same can be said for Monica Rambeau. At least people had a talking tree and a talking racoon in GotG. It also helped that movie knew what it was trying to be and absolutely killed at doing it. Again, I do not suggest basing GotG's success on future success of other entities. There's only so many characters and ideas worthy of being a blockbuster. Sony(?) is certainly finding that out as they expand their Spider-Man universe. They are making a Madame Web movie for crying out loud.
  5. Rad has enough AoEs outside of the nuke for Time to enable to chain them together. Time isn't all that busy either.
  6. Rebirth would be more of an 'Oh crap' button and since Dark plays more at range, the need for one would be rather low.
  7. I think I saw it advertised once on HC. Red side happens decently on Excel. I solo a lot so I tend to play the content I want, but for teams, yeah, Red side could use some love, and I think I have seen one Gold side team in LFG on HC.
  8. I just went and clicked on the data links for three builds and they all loaded fine. I have the most recent versions of Mid's.
  9. If soloing is a factor, you'll want a different damage type from your secondary.
  10. Sappers honestly aren't bad as there is 1-2 at most in a mob and likely just one. If you can deal with it, you can eliminate then attacking you at all. Far worse are Freakshow, Carnies, or others which drain over time and are bosses. I don't use FA on the build, but my BA/stone runs 10 toggles with 4 PS: +End, and unless I am facing something which does legit end drain, I pretty much don't even need to look at my end bar. Data below. Recovery: 3.2/s End Drain: 2.3/s EndRdx: 14.2% Recharge: 172.5% I have the FF: +Recharge proc as well so I can cycle three AoEs. My first go around with Rad during the low level was to slot Theft of Essence: +End in Radiation Therapy and that was outright swimming in end.
  11. Getting Chrono Shift to be perma isn't that difficult either. I have a Time/rad who can get it without Incarnates depending on how I'm slotting my build which still isn't set. My Fire/time Controller uses Incarnates to make it perma.
  12. Here's a Scrapper and Brute version of a build I did for Claws/ea. I think they are at least 99% of what I have in game. I did a straight copy with switching the ATOs out, and went from there. I've actually used a Stalker build as a template for a Brute version of the same sets. I'm not sure if I have those in final form though. I switched PCs, so the Stalker is maybe lacking. Again, numbers across ATs will be different, so you just have to tweak here and there, and at worst the build should be decent. I've been known more recently to change builds once I hit 50, and I'm able to kick their tires while soloing. Without Mercy - Scrapper (Claws - Energy Aura).mbd Without Remorse - Brute (Claws - Energy Aura).mbd
  13. A Scrapper will do more damage unless you are factoring in AoEs against a large number of targets. This means they will get through a possible mob quicker thus using less end. I wouldn't play a build which only has .3% better recovery than end usage. I at minimum aim for 1% and higher without Incarnates factored in.
  14. Stone/fire. Theme wise it works. Stone is a different vibe than Shield. Fire Melee is worth looking into on a Tanker due to only Tankers getting the three AoE attacks and Tankers get larger AoEs, so it is a double bonus. You can also minimize Stone's look to where it is fairly tolerable, and you don't really need Granite. I did Shield/fire due to the look, but if I had one Tanker build to rule them all, Stone/fire.
  15. For the people who do the harder challenges in the game, I know EA is up their as well. I was on a 3-person team, and we were doing +4/x8. I wasn't even 50. Maybe in the 30s. One person switched to an EA build and the other player mentioned someone understood the assignment. I didn't start dying until my brain started to tap out. I will say while Emp feels like a meme at this point, I got on a 4-person team where the Emp was vet level 999, and we did things I didn't even think was possible. I think we ran +4/x8, and I and other player joked about our lack of slotting.
  16. One of the cases where this is different if you are playing a Controller.
  17. HT is pretty top tier. Fluffy is also rather great to have on hand. Fearsome Stare animates in 2.244 seconds which isn't bad. Sure, Darkest Night has a long animation time, but so does Radiation Infection from Rad. Twilight Grasp has a longer animation time, but the heal is huge and based around you compared to Kin's Transfusion. My only real genuine problem with Dark for Corrs and Defenders is Controllers get a far better version of it for their AT.
  18. I can see Ice being better for solo play, but it also wouldn't really need Dominate.
  19. Hasn't Stone gotten a major update during that time frame?
  20. The discussion is about if you need to 2-slot it or not. What it provides is irrelevant. And again, Murcielago's build has a single slot in it.
  21. Since it generated 11 pages currently, I'll just link to Murcielago's Dark/shield build and let that offer up one way to look at it.
  22. One of those two 'wasted' powers is your travel power and Spirit Ward can be one slotted with the Preventive Medicine Proc. For Shield, I would argue using Unleashed Potential is better until you can get your End squared away.
  23. Active Defense should only need one Recharge as it has the same recharge time as Practiced Brawler.
