Those aren't friends. Friends will let you bring whatever and not care how fast things are run. Also, I find it rather laughable that a Scrapper is going to be THAT valued over a Defender when it comes to team speed.
-
I have yet to play a build which felt needed on high enough level teams. Not sure why a support build would need to feel any lesser. IOs and Incarnates make so much of the game irrelevant. Odds are if I'm on a team I am more and more likely to be playing a support character. I really only play non-support ones on teams if it is for a TF/badge.

Some alternate colors and maybe some tweaks with some of the pieces, but this is my Shield/wm variation of the above. I was originally was going for an Arcane(Netflix) look, but since War Mace's light can't change its color, I went with a rather different idea. In all of my history of hundreds of characters, I don't think I had ever done a non-human so was looking to break that streak.

You'll be fine. Take Posi 1. Min level is 8 and max is 15. If someone is level 8, they are limited to that level although they can be SKed to 14 with you on the team. You on the other hand will be level 15, but have access to powers up to level 20 and all the slotting with possible bonuses for IO sets. "Why not just PL a character to 50 and then go through stuff while being uber?" Because you likely still don't have a proper sense of how the build plays. You might find out you don't even like the build. Slotting out the build might cause issues if you don't have actual hands on experience with it. I have two accounts, and in all honestly I rarely PL my other characters. I have essentially retired my Spines/fire. I find I enjoy the characters I leveled the old fashioned way far more and anything which used 2x XP, and I still need to get more of a feel of while they are already level 50.

What head is this? Maybe the coloring I have is throwing me off, but I can't seem to find it. Update: I think I figured it out.

Previously talked about here. I know @Yomo Kimyata posted a slightly different version of the build over on the Scrapper for forums under the topic of AoE based Scrappers. Note, Yomo has enough coin to afford all the things, but there are other builds to look at as well.

If anyone wants to justify using those two powers while skipping on AS I would accuse them of negligence to put it mildly. AoE Containment with Tanker cap targets versus the two worst cast times in the set and both being ST? You're a Tank. Take the AoE.
-
AS is huge for gaining Containment. I can't imagine not having that in the build.
-
Rad is better AoE. Dark has more utility. I feel like some of Dark's utility, Dark Consumption, is lessened in the end when IOs and Incarnates are factored in. We'll know Dark has over taken Rad when Dark/fire Brutes are the ones showing up in numbers on farms.

Looking for some Guidance in Croatoa Mission
Without_Pause replied to Sakai's topic in General Discussion
+1. First time doing it was on my Kin/elec and failed horribly. Came back looking for revenge with an Earth/storm and I think we might have let out 3. I also knew what mission was going to be talked about based on the title alone. -
What are the worst powers in the game?
Without_Pause replied to Bionic_Flea's topic in General Discussion
I've used sleep powers on teams rather successfully. They can be used to mitigate alpha strike or prevent additional mobs from coming in. They might be situational, but I don't think they are bad. -
My suggestion would be to advertise something like this, "Level 25 Newbie group in Talos. No Vet level characters please. LF4M." The only sub level 50 +4 content I feel like doing on a repeatable level is Frostfire with the lead using 2x XP boosters. I've only done it once without the 2x XP booster and it was a slog. The other times were an absolute death fest. Part of the issue as pointed out is player knowledge. CoH in general isn't being played by newbies. Many people have played this game for years. A level 100+ character has been played a bunch so the player should have a solid grasp of the character and likely in that situation already. Hell, I tend to play red side as a default just so I'm not doing the blue side TFs for whatever time I'm at them for each one.

Oops..you did it again! (Added too many zeroes!)

Nope. It was like a month ago. -
Whoa! What happened to Dual Blades Assassin Strike by level 38?

Plus at 50 you get purples and superior versions of IOs. -
Kin should get a mention as being good with it. I think anything with a PBAoE toggle would as well.

Red side..no wonder the place is mostly empty.

I feel like at 29 I've one hunt outside of Mercy. -

Going from level 1, there is minimal traveling between zones for quite some time. There are some contacts who might ping you back and forth early on, but it doesn't feel that bad. Sure, anything level 50 is going to be all over, but that's a number of contacts blue side which aren't doing portal missions. With all of the ways to travel between zones it is honestly easy as ever to get to missions regardless of where they are at. -
I don't think either are honestly fighting each other unless they are the only ones remaining.
-
This assumes your target is willing to stand there letting the Brute to build Fury. A Tank could pop in and out to counter that and make it a stalemate as other characters hang out and beat on them from a distance. In PvP, Psy damage at range is a problem.
-
Guessing my Fort or Stalker. Fort has Confuse in ST and AoE form, AoE Hold, Psy damage, Hidden, and can fly. I don't have a level 50 Dom which could lock down any and everything, or a level 50 Tank, but again, that Fort is an issue.
-
I've run it to 50 on a Scrapper on live. You are looking at the Fighting pool, some other power pool and epics. We are talking S/L Resists and what+5% def all when slotted? Being shoe horned into other power pools? And that's until epics which which further forces players to take specific powers. There's no protection against debuffs and specifically -regen. Granted, any Regen set should have protection against -regen debuffs. How about when it gets hit with -recharge? I can't even say "What about the Psy hole?" because Swiss cheese has fewer holes. But yes, a dump truck of HP, regen, and clicks for the constant "oh crap" factor. "But IOs." You mean the thing which every other powerset has access to? Its telling how Regen is essentially the default worst defense set for any AT which uses it outside of maybe Sents.
-
Since a pet is used in both sets, those pets aren't impacted by Fury. It me that's the biggest con for the pairing on a Brute.
-
What about incoming damage? I honestly hardly see Regen Brutes on PuGs and TFs.

Is there a Brute Tier List similar to Croax's Stalker Tier List?
Without_Pause replied to Linea's topic in Brute
I need to get back to my Savage/rad Brute as using Ice with Rad Armor feels like a cheat code on my Tank. I'll have to check what diff settings they are going on. The Tank is 7 levels higher(22 vs. 29).
