Oh. Never mind. 😉 Seriously, I was disappointed that there are not numerous death trap visuals in the game. All are just some bad people standing next to the victim who is in some victim-emote stance. 😞 (edit) Well, except for COT's victims floating in green smoke and on redside a Family member wearing a cement bucket as shoes (I still chuckle when seeing the latter). P.S. I don't care for brute playstyle, I'll stick to scrappers and stalkers.

But Brutes is bad as he always kidnaps Olive Oyl, who loves Popeye, so when she rejects Brutes he puts her in some death trap, like tying her to the train track in front of an approaching train.

But I've been waiting for Killer-Diller* Zoot Suits to come to an MMO for so long... * a young Malcom X's description according to Wikipedia, P.S. Hah.. I can see a Family member bragging about his new zoot suit in some mission, and being laughed at by other Family members.

Solo players - what parts of a mission matter to you?

That's why map thumbtacks are for; although I forget to use them, too. -
Is there any way to make teams less boring?

Another possible funny starter is to give a sales pitch. "Say, this place would look so much better with aluminum siding. I have samples right here." -

😎 You weren't handing out an Oscar or Tony, or... whatever is the equivalent on CoX? Arpee? (yes, I realize emphasis will be placed on the 2nd syllable... kids these days) -

This year was just not the same as last year, when the devs' joke reversed and became a joke on them. But I still applaud the effort. Here's an idea for next year, based on all the wishing of new stuff: change the moon to a fruit pie and the sun into a pizza with pineapple. "Pie in the Sky"... get it? 😄 -

Sounds like you have some experience in these matters. 😉 -
I don't mind a graphical update. But don't change a zone enough to have to make the old one an echo. I want to go to Perez Park via the current gates, not have to use that Ouroborus artifact. It takes away from immersion. Make a new park that through the diligent heroes' (and maybe include scumy villains') efforts have opened up new "safe" areas. Even Recluse likes to go on a picnic, right?
-
No more zone revamps*, no more "echos"... leave me effin' game alone, especially Perez Park. Add. Make the front line a moon base or 3. Outside zone, and interior zones ("hollow" moon) so don't need breathing gear for those. *Well, you could revamp the Shadow Shard. If anything needs a repurpose it is most of those zones. Make larger rocky areas, some with small towns/cities that fenced off the Rulularurururur (never can remember the proper spelling).

I'm the opposite when it comes to TFs. XP can be gotten anywhere. I want the TF to be over as fast as possible so I can go back to my way of playing, mostly solo. Anyone treating non-kill-all missions in a TF as a kill-all/kill-most might as well be farming. Go farm for your XP elsewhere. Let's get the TF over quick so we can say our "GJ, TFP" and depart each other. -
new styles: Mansion, like that seen in Manticore's. Library, as seen in the library at universities

Worse session moments happens every time RNG gets all streaky bad. Today, fairly new character (born yesterday), miss about 1 in 5-8 shots (that's NOT a 5% miss chance). I look at combat log (all attacks at 95%): among the hits and misses of the last combat: 95.27, 95.65, 95.35... wtf? Three of those attacks would have been hits except for the fraction. *grumble* This particular character has had bad luck hitting ever since born. I swear I think there's a hidden luck factor with every character, some characters never seem to have troubles while others miss a lot more than usual. grrrr. Yeah yeah, another "RNG sucks story". But it does suck! 😆 I'll take team issues over RNG hating me any day.

Can I play as one of the monkeys? 😄 🐒 I promise not to run directly at an enemy group first thing... really... I mean it... wait.. look there.. people, maybe they have bananas... I feel you OP, I've had the same issue. I'm not much of a conversationalist (which is why I'd make a great monkey 😉 ) but I have interjected some silly messages at times. Sometimes the team responds, sometimes they don't. -
What are the petty but real annoyances in CoH?
gamingglen replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
Yet, back in the between times when I used Icon for screenshot story telling I found a blue-green color I really like that isn't available with the normal choices (same goes for a a shade of purple). In Icon you can load the costume file directly bypassing the CC, so I've learned a lot about the costume files data and the color arrangement thus modified them directly. Something I'd like to see is the CC's color selector have a sliding scale, but keep the current choices as a way to set the sliders to that point. But that suggestion/wish is for another thread. Or, allow the CC to accept any color choice when loading a costume file instead of turning the modified colors to black. -
The Warriors are boring - is that a problem?

not "dammit Janet"? That could be one of their favorite movies, theatre management hate it when they come to watch (either a massive cleanup or a massive rebuild). -
The best part of playing an old game is the old players

MASH is probably one of the most rerun TV series, currently on MeTV so I still watch an episode or 6 (as well as Hogan's Heroes.. "I see nothink!"), so it might not be that unusual for youngsters to have seen it. Now, if someone was to play a Barney Fife knockoff then it would be amazing for young'ins to recognize it. Now there's a theme for a CC: 60's TV characters. And a trivia contest to recognize them. -

That sounds like a Nemesis plot. BTW, it's cubicle. 🤓 -
I'm surprised we CoH players haven't meme'd these things and numbered them, yet. Like AE#1 : "How do you get out of Atlas Park?" (I'm not one to go look for the proper picture.. I'm not a memeist. 😉 )

That's when you use the Walk power and sashay through the station. 😉 If only there were police persons standing around drinking coffee or eating donuts that would look up and admire you as you pass by them, with the usual civilian banter about your character previously saving the day. Hey, my characters have egos and like preening. 😄 -
Are alternate powers within powersets possible?
gamingglen replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Oh, that power. Meh, it's fun to use but don't very often unless on purpose. You have snipe for that ranged massive attack (except for those powersets without snipe.. grrr).
