  1. Here's my suggestions to "fix" Force Fields.
  2. I freaking love this idea. I want to team with Turtle Man!
  3. Bleach blonded Tom Holland in ten years would be perfect. Now? Maybe Leo DiCaprio if he could drop a few pounds back to a thinner, more toned shape like he was in the late 90s?
  4. This is brilliant...
  5. I think a support ticket is your best bet.
  6. It's getting there! 66 views and only three replies! That's a TERRIBLE ratio! But all joking aside, this specific post can't be used as an example because I'm not contacting anyone SPECIFICALLY. I'm talking about when you personally message someone... and they seem to ignore you. To me, it feels EXTREMELY disrespectful, almost hurtful. But maybe I take my internet relationships and protocol too seriously...
  7. No, this isn't about stealthing through a door mission to the end to get the glowie or beat the big bad and their minions - this is about seemingly ignoring people when they attempt to communicate with you. For some reason, in the modern CoH Community, I've had many, MANY people "ghost" me. On forums, on Discord, via e-mail, via FB Messenger. I send messages, trying to move conversations along... and I get nothing. Silence. Dead air. For days, even weeks, even after I send one or more follow-up messages. Has anyone else experienced this with the CoH Community? Or is it just me? It's not just within one subset of the CoH community either, it seems pervasive in multiple sub-communities. I realize that this is a game, it's a hobby, and people have real lives that surely are more important than pretendy fun time games. But, I at least, make it a personal policy to try to respond to everyone that directly contacts me within 24/48 hours out of courtesy, either with a valid response, or just saying something like "I'll have to get back to you later on that". Because I realize that people on the other end are just that, people, and deserve the respect of at the very least being acknowledged. But it seems that many others in the CoH community don't seem to follow the same policy. Is this ubiquitous? As a highly functional autistic, I wonder if this is perhaps some sort of standard neurotypical behavior? Or is it just me? Does my internet breath stink? Wondering what all of your experiences are, to see if I'm all alone in this or not.

  9. My various tools for the City of Heroes community can be found here: http://www.cityofplayers.com/pks-tools/ Currently, they contain: Homecoming Dev Tracker - To track the Devs on Homecoming, and see what they're saying (also Arcanaville, who might as well be a dev!) BBCoder - A BBCode editor that makes it REALLY easy to make fun, colorful and long posts! Powers Checker - To see the EXACT effects of all player powers in-game. Static datasource currently, there's a future plan to move the data from an Excel sheet to a database and/or make a version that can import a Powers.def file from ANY server. Future state - I hope to have the following running, but that depends on community support to support a dedicated server. If we don't get this support, these things can never happen: Project Spelunker - A searchable copy of the old City of Heroes forum. Project stalled due to insufficient server. Offline Mission Arc Editor Wentworth's/Black Market Out of Game client - to allow players to "play the market" from either their PC or phone when they aren't actually in-game. Personal Space for community members to have their own CoH related webpages and tools. Any other ideas for community tools, I'd be glad to hear them. I want to find ways to give back to the community that's already given me so much!
  10. No, we really can't. The database size has gotten so massive for my host now that every attempt to add a new record fails due to timeout. We're stuck without a new host. But I do have another idea, though it'll probably take me a few weeks to put together.
  11. Hmmm... you gave me an idea... I've got to spend some time thinking about it, but... it's an idea. I'll let you know when I've had more time to process.
  12. ... .... .... DANG IT!
  13. Maybe, but it looks like it's something that almost nobody wants, if you look at the lack of Patreon response. Homecoming wants to remain hands off, and.... I also did post on the Titan Network forums about two days ago, and got something 43 views, no response. Not very encouraging. https://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php?topic=13560.0 It looks like the only ones that want this are those that have posted here and already contributed processing time. It's a bit disheartening.
  14. Good to know' that's after I stopped playing, heh.
  15. I may be misremembering, and this may not be a bug, but AFAIK, we're only supposed to be able to get three missions as well... yet somehow I managed to obtain a fourth one???
  16. Well, I'll do whatever it takes to keep this project afloat, and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try, though I'm doubtful. What do you think is the best way to reach a guy like him is?
  17. I haven't, no. But, my experience in the past with him tells me that, like Homecoming, he won't want to do anything until the negotiations have ended. Which could take literal months.
  18. If I receive a C&D, then of course I'll replace images. I'm not going to do that though until I receive one. As this is a non-profit project, I'm not worried about any legal issues.
  19. Sure, I'd have no problem with that. However, any "free" db host would have the same issue as my current host, especially a shared host. Unlimited doesn't really MEAN unlimited - it's limited by the capabilities of a shared server, meaning that you have to share space and resources with others. Therefore, things are throttled and don't work as they would on a dedicated server. It's been the experience of this project so far, that a dedicated server is now necessary, due to the sheer amount of data. A free host wouldn't cut it anymore.
