  1. Little white wings on the ankles to fly you at supersonic speeds... 😉
  2. Colorization of current jetpacks as well. Gold Brickers' jetpack is fun, but I can't use it on certain dark, angsty characters because it is too cheerfully golden. It needs to come in black. I do agree additional jet boots, or at least optional skins to the current ones, would be appreciated.
  3. Well, on the one hand, they've managed to retrieve 35 of the monkeys by last published count. (Clearly they didn't contact Luminara for help.) On the other hand, now the state is looking for a few escaped emus. 🙄
  4. I'd call it the Superwrap, but that's probably already the name of his custom burrito at Chipotle restaurants.
  5. As silly as that was, I always chalked it up to Kryptonian technology, rather than any power he possessed. With his dad the leading scientist of Krypton, I'd expect the rocket came packed with useful Kryptonian science and technology. Adapting it to be a quick peel-off and toss feature of his chest shield seems reasonable. The real problem was that it was a one-and-done concept. I don't believe it even had a Chekov's smoking gun build-up in the story. A bit more explanation or appearances would have moved it off the shelf of the bizarre.
  6. I've only seen 3 movies in the franchise: Aliens, Alien3, and Aliens vs. Predators. Each one had a very different feel to it, so I'm not sure what a consistent Aliens style is. I'm overdue for the first film, and I guess I'll have to stomach the ones I heard poor reviews about to get a better understanding. Incidentally, Aliens was awesome (I had bruises for days from some random lady friend of a friend seizing my arm repeatedly very, very painfully in the jump scenes. A unique experience.), Aliens v. Predators was great with popcorn, and Alien3 was the single most depressing movie I've ever seen. (With the possible exception of Where The Red Fern Grows, but I was a kid watching it.) I went opening night and the whole theater was silent afterwards, and remained that way as we left. Avengers: Infinity War didn't hold a candle to it.
  7. How is a product of the Aliens franchise also a first-showing Disney product? I thought Fox only sold Disney their vault of films, not the whole movie making biz?
  8. The ship appears to be a TIE Avenger (though there are some minor differences in the core. Possibly a tweak by the model shop). I'm not sure why Cassian would be stealing it, except for the simple reason of escape. I first thought that it might have been a forerunner of the TIE Defender, the ship being designed by Morgana and tested by Thrawn on Lothal (and a major plot point of the whole Rebels series), then I remembered that Andor Season 2 runs concurrent in the Star Wars BBY era with Rebels, so...no. If there's a reason within books and works not put on the screen, I've not delved deep into those, so I would not know. (Side note: it is a generally held view of fans that had the TIE defender program reached a successful conclusion, mass production of it, and utilization of it by Thrawn himself, would have won the war with the Rebellion without the need for the outrageously expensive, all-eggs-in-one-basket Death Star(s). It was that dangerous. So that is why, for a moment, I saw a forerunner theft as exciting...before reality of the timeline kicked in.)
  9. See, there's the problem: tense mistake. CoH was dead. Not CoH is dead.
  10. Striking! Bravo. Brown (okay, orangey-brown) is, in my observation, a rarely used color, yet it works so well that I'm surprised more have not utilized it.
  11. Nope. I live in the state, and it's real. Unfortunately. It's been front page news here. First thing I referenced to a family member when I heard about it was a state legend, possibly true. Back when I was in the Scouts around the late 1970s to early 1980s, we knew every wild and dangerous animal in the state. We went primitive camping often, so it was needed knowledge. Not on that list were coyotes. They didn't exist here. The only wild canines were foxes, and the Carolina Yellow Dog, a.k.a. the American Dingo. (Absolutely lovely dogs, BTW. I intend my next pet to be a domesticated one.) Fast forward to the year 2010, and coyotes are "everywhere". The YMCA was getting reports of coyotes chasing joggers and bikers. Pets and farm animals were being killed, and in places the wildlife balance was being affected. The legend is that the coyotes were part of a experiment brought into the state, and someone didn't keep them penned in properly, the mistake was (somewhat badly) hushed, and there was enough for a breeding population. The state officers who track such things started seeing them show up in the east of the state around 1977. Since east is coastal, and a coyote migration would have come from the west, you can see why the legend of an escape makes a certain sense. So you can imagine my vexation at hearing these monkeys not only escaped, but have not been entirely re-captured. Actually, the team trying to trap them was announcing "significant progress" over the weekend for having captured one of them. One. That said, they did better the second try. There are now 25 of them recaptured as of Sunday evening. I've not seen an update since. You'd think something like this would happen near Liberty Island or the National Mall in Washington, DC, or something, but noooo. It had to be here. 🙉
  12. Sounds like they got the voice for the part, too. IYNYN. Yeah, I'm not happy its ending either. While, yes, it'll be 24 episodes when done, that's not even a full season in American television (in the 1980s). Honestly, What If...? has such vast possibilities, I'd have thought they'd at least have gone for 5 seasons, if not 7. Even then, it would not be close to the 79 episodes of original Star Trek, a.k.a. just 3 years. It allows the actors to play the roles long after they physically cannot, and can be produced cheaper than, say, a season of She-Hulk. (Okay, low blow, but still...) I'm left wonder why the plug is being pulled.
  13. Only if the set also comes with super ventriloquism.
  14. Terrain modification looks similar in concept to that of No Man's Sky. I'm wondering if they have voxel destruction/modification in combat as well.
  15. Not criticizing, just curious: I'm not sure I understand the reasoning for having macros on several of the control trays instead of adding another Custom Window. Is just a stylistic choice or is there something I'm overlooking? Also, what's the function of the custom AE control on tray 4? I assume it is associated to the Architect Entertainment system.
  16. If you like Dieselpunk, Noir mysteries, Art Deco, or Blade Runner (but cleaner and with mechanicals rather than organics), you'll probably find something to like about this atmospheric proof-of-concept. (I'm guessing this is probably true for @ThaOGDreamWeaver. While not perfect (there's one or two dead-eye moments, for example), it does what a proof-of-concept should do. As recent as two months ago, the producers were saying it is their intention to create a series and a video game from this. We'll see, but it does look promising.
  17. How to say "I like red" without saying "I like red". 😉 👉 By the way, since we're discussing UI: Has anyone found the way to move announcement windows out of the way? There are few things as annoying as being in the middle of a fight and suddenly right over the combat is a pop-up window announcing "You've just attained your first..."blah, blah, blah. I don't mind the notification, but I'd really like to put its pop-up point somewhere out of the center of combat.
  18. As my sample picture demonstrated, I can't stand to have clutter down below the feet of my character. There's a column of space I like to keep clear of everything except the character and the melee range combat around him. That said, the minimal approach you have displayed is not bad, though with my habit of doing quick scans through Enhancements, Salvage, Recipes, etc., I'd probably be highly annoyed with any window overlaying my character, even temporarily. But yeah, not bad. Glad you mentioned the chat. I forgot to point out that with every character, I set up an LFG tab. This is given 5 channels only: Looking For Group, the three zone event messages (Hero, Villain, Praetorian), and Event Message. I've experimented in the past with the Request channel as well. These 6 I find essential to continually monitor. The rest remain on the other tabs in case I need to refer to one of them, but "LFG" becomes my primary tab. While I like what you've down with trays 4 & 5, do you not have annoyances with opening enhancements, salvage, etc.? Yep! I went ahead and read your signature link page. Good description. I would note, and perhaps it is just my computer, but I'd note that for reasons I've yet to figure out, the window occasionally closes on its own, and I have to set it up again. It's not often, but it does happen. One other thing: I wish the combat window could display the computer's clock. I play full screen, and would prefer to still see the clock.
  19. Sorry. This is the first I've heard of it.
  20. Mine's pretty straightforward. I placed trays 4 & 5 in that position because, due to my hand movements with the mouse, they're much closer to a minimized distance from trays 2 & 3. I'm probably weird, but I use the keyboard for tray 1 but can't standing to keep thinking through what extra key I need to push to activate each other tray, so I use the mouse for those. Tray 4 is always set up this way on every character with the S.T.A.R.T. Prestige Utilities up top and in that order, and the Fast Travel and Cosmic Platform at the bottom. If a character takes teleport powers, they go to the middle row. Tray 5 will always hold any rez powers and will hold any day job powers that require a button to activate. The one major difference I've created these past few months is the addition of tray 6. While I'd prefer to have my rest and travel powers stacked above all my fight, defense, and debuff powers, the main tri-tray fills up on some of my other characters, and it is just not designed to allow an addition tray above tray 3 without interference from all the pop-ups up top. So I removed Rest and all travel powers, placed them in tray 6 and placed it below the tri-tray setup. I had a bit of a mental adjustment, undoing nearly 2 decades of muscle memory conditioning, but I'm finally feeling the groove, and tray 3 is now free for those that need more room for fight/defense/buff-debuff stuff. (The character is Will Begone, Mind/Psi dominator)
  21. Question: Is it for all things CoH, or specific to Homecoming? Question 2: What does it bring that CoH on already established social media (Discord, Reddit, other?) does not? Observation: Following the link that @Without_Pause provided, I saw more talk about immediately recent politics than I did about CoH. I'm one who really appreciates leaving certain inflammatory topics out of the focus. I've a lot of friendly forum and game people who are likely 180 degrees opposite of me on these subjects, but we get along great because we've found common ground here. Does the Bluesky setup not have something to keep discussion on target?
  22. Does your shelter specialize in cats, or is it just the calendar's focus? Bless them for giving cats a chance. I've known a so-called "shelter" that did not. One of my siblings volunteers a few evenings a week at a shelter specific to cats. My other sibling and I used to courier adoptable puppies from shelters in the American South to North Shore Animal League on Long Island. I'm not close to cats, severe allergies made that so, but I'm all for giving them a chance.
  23. The full story is really amazing. For once, primetime TV was not just amusement, but a powerful, positive force for change. I really need to find that show and rewatch it.
  24. This feels like it was written by the writing team behind Police Squad and The Naked Gun movies.
