  1. That is with siphon speed. I often don't take travel powers on my builds because I find sprint+ninja run works just fine. If you want super speed on the cold build just switch out vengeance or benumb
  2. Due to the changes to dark miasma I would go with a defender for this combo now, but I am glad you are having fun with it. Dark miasma is a great power set and stacking tar pit is very satisfying.
  3. I wouldn't get a travel power with kinetics, but if I had to suggest one I would get super speed because we already need hasten and its very fast especially now with the 120 mph cap.
  4. Because Savage leap exists and I can't go back. I can't. I won't. You cant make me.
  5. So what you are saying is that I need to test it on the on beta server.....luckily I'm already here messing with things. 😉
  6. Hmmmmmmm so with the 0 second cast time and the 20 foot radius its really really bad for procs then....
  7. what is the radius of the AoE on feral charge? 8 ft? 15 ft? I'm trying to figure out the proc calculation. Also, how much damage does it do? Is it better to put another 3.5 ppm proc into it or a +5 damage io?
  8. So I was inspired by some elec/kin/dark oppressive gloom testing on a corruptor to see what I could do with a stunning brute. It works surprising well. Wanna keep your team safe? Just keep everything stunned and savage leap to the next guys and stun them too. Just cloak of fear and oppressive gloom is enough to stun bosses, but not reliably. When you stack the stuns in electric fences and ball lightning though, most things get stunned around you and things are successfully mitigated. You really rely on dark regeneration to heal up your endurance though and even then cardiac really helps. 9. I never said everything I had to say was about optimization....some of what I wanted to say was about fun %_%
  10. yeah, I know all the procs are like 15-20% chance, but there are a lot of them. I avoided proccing things out in ST powers because one boss isn't going to kill me, 3-4 might.
  11. Ok, so I am experimenting with a new build with a new powerset for my Kintank. Going elec/kin for the shock damage effect, soft end control, and good aoe dmg. I have also found that I can use clarion with repel on if I just use transference occasionally due to the small end transfer mechanic. So, you are all welcome to try this, but know it is a work in progress:
  12. Are we allowed to post videos of play in the forums yet? Or are we still banned from doing so? I wish to compare two builds' farming times with videos in a post.
  13. I have a few things to say/ask here (I ask these things with the idea of making a strong toon that can, but will not necessarily, solo +4x8 cimorrea missions): 1. Why are you making a defender over a corruptor for this combo? Corruptors get more base damage, a higher damage cap, and scourge. With this combo in particular, I would recommend a corruptor as you get maxed damage shocks combined with scourge. 2. Kinetics absolutely shines in melee range. I strongly suggest building M/R defense for your build. Almost all AoE attacks have either a melee or ranged tag, so M/R defense also keeps you safe from AoE. 3. Take repel with a knock back to knockdown and a forcefeedback proc. I typically put a +5 endredux as well, but that's up to you. The amount of endurance you get back passively along with transference is more than enough to keep it going, even in the middle of two mobs, even with clarion. It provides you with recharge and a surprising amount of knockdown mitigation. 4. You can proc your attacks out with damage AND stuns. Then you can go dark mastery for oppressive gloom and actually stack enough stuns to stun bosses for a few brief moments. Is it worth it? Maybe? Probably not? Is it hilarious and super fun? Yes, yes it is.
  14. Answer: Not long enough to be worth it. Probably. The minions are stunned the whole time and the lieutenants are stunned most of the time, while bosses are only stunned briefly.
  15. Building and testing now on the test server. This is designed to be used with a defense amplifier at all times and to use ageless destiny slot.
  16. Yeah and when you get punched in the face you could look at it as an exciting opportunity to meet new people at the hospital. .....I'm still pretty salty about this nerf
  17. No, because you really really want to use kinetics on a corruptor due to the higher damage cap and scourge. Kin and Cold are some of the few sets that are much better on a corruptor (perhaps the only sets)

  19. My water/cold corruptor is calm and measured, able to handle hard threats and cimmorrean missions with practice, but my fire/kin is power incarnate and way more hectic. I'm working on the fire/kin atm, trying to figure out the best way to keep it safe from holds after the RoP nerf, and generally trying to figure out one build to recommend to people. Spring attack sucks btw, so that idea is out. They changed the values for the -res in cold though didn't they? It might work better as a defender now, I'll have to look at the math. Ideally, you'd have a water/cold and a fire/kin together one using ageless and the other using clarion, you should be able to all the content in the game as a duo incredibly quickly, things would melt. @StriderIV
  20. its fine, but you will find yourself taking more dmg and not having as much recharge when you go into a mob without a tank. To me, its night and day.
