  2. I'm not sure how much this has been mentioned this thread but I severely don't like smoke canister's interaction with domination. Dominators have no lines of defense outside of control. The strength of the control should not be random ever. Dominators are over cautiously balanced IMO.
  3. TK in the epic sets doesn't have the immobilize portion so the enemies just fly around and rubber band back to the specified distance. It looks really strange so I'm assuming it's not intended.
  4. The corollary to most people don't care is that some people do care. "Most" people aren't going to play Arsenal Assault since "most" people don't play dominators. Is any content added for dominators added for "no reason?" Why make changes to VEATS? Why make changes for anything other than Brutes/Scrappers/Blasters/Tanks? The bonus is to give the "some" people an incentive to play ATs that are under utilized.
  5. That's a false dichotomy. What I predict (and I'm assuming most people who like the bonus) is that most people don't care, and those that do are going to spend more time playing AT roles that are less likely to be naturally filled. I have no idea where people are getting this idea that TF leaders are going to become toxic. I've played this game a good bit, and I've played some games with seriously toxic player bases. Maybe I'm descensitized, but the Homecoming playerbase is so very far from toxic in my experience.
  6. Sorry but Bonfire is changed to behave like every other source of AoE continuous KB does with a KB -> KD. It either shouldn't be so strong with that, or all the other KB's should be stronger.
  7. I'm not willing to sit here for 6 pages and argue, but I like the bonus. I like being encouraged to bring a different character out of my arsenal.
  8. The leviathan stacks are very slow/variable to build. In pylon testing I could go through my normal attack chain several times and not be higher than 3 stacks often. Could the chance be made higher or the max stacks be made lower?
  9. The tornado version of teleport is the only one without a sound effect. Could it use the sound of gale or something similar?
  10. Is one of those Javelins a damage proc? That would break the sleep Edit: Nevermind I tested it with no slotting and it doesn't sleep
  11. Devices and Traps both have an identical Trip Mine, but this one in Arsenal is much weaker and doesn't have the same type of data in the description. Is that intended?
  12. Most controllers are going to feel lackluster on damage early on. If you want you could try a Dominator that can also be Illusion/Sonic, their secondaries are just damage instead of buffs/debuffs.
  13. I'd advocate for Ice. My Ice/Psi/Ice is still one of my most fun characters and also among the first I got to 50. Arctic Air really does keep you safe in melee in most content, even more so now with the buffs. It's an even safer set now with the fear in frostbite to open with, I was playing around with a Ice/Thorns on the test server and taking on 4/8 missions pretty comfortably even without completely understanding the playstyle. With that said, if you're thinking about soloing ITF mobs, once they start screaming it'll be hard to get confuses on them so you're in a lot more danger. But the slows should do some work still if you can get a decent amount of life recovery and play more scared.
  14. With procs how they are now MC is the best blasting control set (maybe besides Gravity), I don't think it really needs more damage just better access to containment. I think it would be cool if Telekinesis instead of just doing what it does would unlock a couple different modes of telekinesis since it's such a general concept. Something like TK Lift (how TK is now), TK Crush (group immobilize to set up containment), and TK Flight (how it was in my CoH info booklet that I never got to experience since I didn't play in beta 😡). Also, giving containment to fear would also make Illusion much stronger which I don't think is really necessary.
  15. I had a really nice experience soloing through Praetoria/First Ward/Night Ward with a Ninja Blade/Katana stalker. I'd recommend a stalker for two reasons: 1. The damage is a given for any of the primaries, 2. It's nice to always have to option of stealthing through anything you don't want to fight. The NB/SR pairing also let me crank the difficulty up to +2 in FW/NW with minimal IOing since Divine Avalanche is so good for pumping your defenses.
  16. Even then there's using inspirations or not, relying on barrier or not, leaning on lore pets etc. People just have different opinions on what soloing 4/8 means to them that not everyone will agree on.
  17. I've run through gold side solo a good few times. I'd say, unless you can IO your defenses to be decent as you go, you want something with good recovery. The missions are pretty difficult and for some of the bosses you're gonna need to play kinda hit-and-run. I'd actually recommend regen if you haven't been impressed by one yet, pretoria is a really good place to let its strengths shine. Sentinel or melee would both be good.
  18. I haven't played this as a combo yet, but you might like Elec/Psi. Sapping will be your soft control, and drain psyche will let you sap some pretty strong targets especially at lower levels. DP also patches recovery holes that a lot of doms rely on incarnates for, so it's a pretty strong secondary for less-than-maxed play.
  19. This is the build I've been running. I chose to go for more resistance rather than defense, skipped hasten, and went for presence mainly for theme (he's a demon type character). But invoke panic is actually a pretty noticeable crowd control option that helps quite a bit.   21. Either Illusion/Thorns or Illusion/Elec dominator for sure. Then I've got a DP/Fire sentinel that doesn't hurt to play anymore. Need to do several respecs for sure too.
  22. I do wish Phoenix Rising was a little more impactful too. As it stands, the heal is pretty underwhelming in most cases, especially when you can hardly cast it at low life because of the animation time. And a 300 second CD is far too long for an ability with no lasting effect. Maybe if it gave 60 seconds of some damage buff 300 seconds might be fine, but as is now I still see it as kind of a gimmick power pick.
  23. For my sentinel at least the added regen with +HP (and extra damage) has been noticeable for my survivability.
  24. Ya 3 PAs, Sentinel, Phantasm, and Decoy. Could get a patron pet too.
  25. I was thinking about using Elec. Could be pretty cool to have 6 pets blasting away, and some decent personal damage on top.
