Yomo's New and Improved Bang-Up Salmagundi Spectacular!!!
Bionic_Flea replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion
One of the reasons I like Yomo, besides that he gives me free stuff, is that he teaches me new words. Salmagundi is a fancy salad laid out on a presentation board or platter. Like charcuterie but more protein and veggies than cured meat and cheese. Who knew? Yomo. Yomo knew. -
Before anyone goes on a crusade to burn the witches that take the form of AFK MMs during Halloween and otherwise labeling them as bad, evil, or whatever other negative adjective one could come up with, it's not against the rules to go AFK, as an MM or as any other AT. While it may not be the case here, there are numerous reasons why someone might go AFK, from getting some obnoxious badges, to real life work, to family emergencies. So I'd prefer if we discussed ways to fix Halloween at the Murder Hotel and not ways to punish AFK MMs.

Mystic in Spelunker mission (Save the Mystic) started attacking me!

Were you undressing her with your eyes? The Mystic doesn't like that! -
Not if they are in TF/Ouro/AE mode. And while an AFK MM may not get as much stuff as an active player, they could use multiple accounts to have an MM in each servers' Murder Hotel 24/7, reset on Tuesdays, for the entire event. Or have an AFK MM at the hotel while they run whatever other content they enjoy. Or attach a level 1 to their AFK MM while they go to work and find two characters with a bunch of stuff and a brand new level 50 (or close). Personally, I don't care if people do that. It's technically allowed, so play as you will. But I do agree that it is lazy and feels like cheating. If you aren't at the keyboard, you aren't playing, IMO.

Fear Deserves its own Purple/Very Rare Set
Bionic_Flea replied to Mystoc's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
*shrug* It's one of the winter sets, so not totally random. And the +absorb proc is a bit less common than straight damage. But yeah, a purple or universal mez set with damage would my my first choice for a new IO set. Oh! And as a 6th piece proc give it something like Contagious Confusion -- a chain reaction that bounces between enemies doing minor damage and random mez! (hold, immmob, stun, fear, confuse, or sleep). That would be awesome in some pets as well as for players. -
Fear Deserves its own Purple/Very Rare Set
Bionic_Flea replied to Mystoc's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm of two minds on this. While it does seem unfair that all the other mezzes have a purple set and fear doesn't, I also find it unfair that the sets favor ranged characters, especially blasters, controllers and dominators. So maybe a universal mez purple set with some damage in it or a universal armor purple set that could go in resistance or defense? I think just about everyone could get mileage out of those. But if we stick with just fear, I'd vote for Phobophobia, the fear of fear itself! -
Vampires don't poop. Confirmed.

In this game, Defense is considered luck. The defense inspirations are even called Luck, Good Luck, Phenomenal Luck, and Amazing Luck! Therefore, I posit that anything that does -def is unlucky. So how about a rad/rad defender or corrupter?

That's not nature, that's a choice. 😛

Leeches, Fleas, Vampires, and Mosquitoes are all blood suckers. We can't help it. It's in our nature. Don't be hatin'

The thread was pruned, including a prior comment that I had made. So it was a dual Halloween "Booo" and a "Booo, I've been moderated."

Sigh...this is why we can't have nice things.
Bionic_Flea replied to Skyhawke's topic in General Discussion
I will agree with several of the last posters that it is entirely possible to make tens if not hundreds of millions with minimum effort and time. Each one of my characters gets about 250 mill on creation to buy P2W stuff and IOs over the course of the character's life. They can also rummage through storage bins that I keep with Panacea, Steadfast, Shield Wall, Gladiator's Armor and other high value items that can be slotted at level 10. They make a huge difference while leveling. I will then look at my recipes periodically, craft what I have salvage for, convert to something that will sell for over a million, and leave it on /AH. That could happen while I am waiting for a team to fill up, just before logging, or maybe while idling in base and reading work emails. Low level recipes are very cheap to craft. As I wait until I get everything as a free drop, my only cost is the crafting fee and the AH fee. But I will continue doing the same even when I get to 50. Although the crafting costs are higher, there are lots of IOs that will let you make a profit, again especially if you are not paying for the recipe and salvage. Just by doing that, my characters have everything that they need/want in their build by the time they are 50. Although my funds may get low, especially in the 30s and 40s, I have never needed to give them additional funds. And by the time they get to 50+1, more often than not they are back at the 250 mill starting point or more. Now, once I consider a character "finished", I will go and make something new but I still play them occasionally. When I do, I set up bids for level 10 uncommon recipes and the accompanying salvage. Be careful! There are a couple that still require an orange salvage. Stay away from those. Look for level 10 recipes with no or few bids outstanding and place a low, but reasonable bid. Or be unreasonable and bid 1. I'm not trying to get it now, but rather days, weeks, or months from now when I log back into that character, who then collects sales and purchases, crafts, converts, and places those for sale while placing bids for whatever new recipes have few bids. Those rarely played level 50s accumulate 50-500 million in sales in between play sessions and end up sending the next character the 250 mill seed money. What I described only takes a few minutes per play session. But it may be days, weeks, months before I claim my profits. -

Also: Isn't that what the Duplicating Gift is? Some one gives it to you and you run off to quickly give it to someone else . . . then they give it to someone else . . . and so on. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Duplicating_Gift
