  1. I support this just because I'm someone heavily in favor of a wrist launcher alt anim set for trick and tac arrow.
  2. Gotta love that selective logic.
  3. Cobalt is the only dev who's opinion I'd want to hear.
  4. GMs aren't devs, as based as that suggestion is.
  5. Well, when I see the same group of people brigading threads until they inevitably get closed (which is a weird way to handle that, by the way.), and they're still there weeks to months later doing the same thing, one can't help but think nothing's being done about it. I'm sure you're all great people that hate sentinels just like any proud members of the community, but the moderation policies might need an update or two, because there's clearly a problem.
  6. Oh no, it's fitting. Some people on these boards are in their 50s and have less social skills than a toddler. The real issue is that the authority figures do exactly nothing to solve the problem. They just ignore it, hope it blows over, and then we're back doing this song and dance again because nothing actually happens.
  7. Yeah uh, this was kind of the problem. Greycat's protest thread got a response and the actual thread didn't, lol.
  8. Oh, my bad, nevermind then.
  9. That's not at all what happened. Being told "no" isn't the issue here. And uh, frankly, I don't care if you disagree. It's an objectively bad look and Cipher even acknowledged that.
  10. The whole "volunteer" line gets tiring when used as some sort of 'gotcha'. Is HC maintained by volunteers? Yes. Does that mean they can do whatever they want without any criticism or retaliation? No. Good will buys you a lot of leeway, but said good will can also be burned. We are not entitled to anything simply by donating, but HC isn't entitled to an echo chamber either. Remember: HC is only the most popular server because it was first. You can't claim to be all about the community but neglect it and hide behind the 'volunteer' defense when you screw up. This situation was handled extremely poorly and is hopefully a learning experience.
  11. Reopening that one is profoundly confusing. Maybe they thought it best just to keep all the heat off the genuine one, but this has the indirect effect of, you know, reigniting all the arguments about why such a thread is in poor taste.
  12. It's still not a good look. I doubt this particular case was inherently malicious, but the fact they lacked the awareness to go "Hey, maybe we should respond to the memorial request in the thread requesting it." and instead chose to enable the person essentially yelling "Get off my lawn" at the funeral is a HORRIFIC look. He made it about him and got exactly what he wanted. I can't imagine anyone who actually knew the person is looking at that in a positive light. That's such a bad look it's like something you'd see in a comedy.
  13. "The earth is flat." "We're not talking about flat earthers, idiot." "Ah, but you haven't debated the merits of my other points." ???
  14. You got two brain cells fighting for third place, man.
  15. You didn't even make one, you just kinda said things and hoped Rudra would tell you you're funny. But hey, I won't derail this thread like every single one your assumed friend group here touches. We can debate the merits of any arguments you might have in PMs where the GMs can't bail you out, if you're brave enough.
  16. She isn't mad she was told 'no', genius.
  17. Yeah, the forum GM team's conduct of late has been essentially a bad joke since early last year. I'm mostly resigned to it being an unsolvable issue, there's nothing that could realistically be done about it. Can't go to the proverbial manager if they're in on it, and I witnessed some profoundly stupid behavior from the lead GM earlier in the year that didn't breed much confidence. Which is a shame because I like a lot of the GMs, but none of those people seem to handle the whole "dealing with idiot trolls on the site" issue. Ideally, they would action consistent trolls and have the ability to recognize trends, but that's apparently too much to ask. I highly doubt they personally know the people causing the problems, which makes this thing where it really seems like they are actively defending bad actors profoundly confusing to me. Actioning her over it would prove her right, lol. They enable bad behavior by actioning the people responding to the trolls rather than the trolls themselves.
  18. "We have the memorial at home."
  19. It's a disappointing answer but ultimately I'm fine with the answer being "no". Eventually tools can be added that will indirectly allow us to do it ourselves in bases and whatnot. Though I do think replying to that in a bad faithed troll thread instead of the one requesting the addition is strange.
  20. Or just don't worry about it, because this entire thread is really making a big deal out of a very, very small ask. Like I'm sorry, I don't forsee even the most exaggerated hypothetical scenario of us having "too many memorial NPCs" impeding even one person, ever. So it's very hard for me to take this seriously, on top of the just horrific timing in general. They haven't even DONE anything yet, people just asked if it could be done, but no, certain people have to make everything about them.
  21. Who cares? This is such a non-issue.
  22. I'm not going to assume good faith from someone who has to make every suggestion thread about them. Yeah, no, that's pretty much the worst thing they could possibly do.
  23. What are your graphical settings on?
