  1. The topic title is about things that can be added to the game to foster that sense of progression. The cat is out of the bag as far as easy access to everything in the game goes, you can't put the stuff that's already unlocked back behind a gateway. These topics are discussion topics, that can ebb and flow, hense me offering up further badges as a solution. Short of developing new costume parts and gating those off, for better or worse, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.
  2. I haven't? The thing I'm advocating for here is just more badges.
  3. Because eventually, one person coming up with arbitrary gates and goals for themselves (which I already do to keep this game interesting, like rolling and soloing with sets that aren't popular according to the stats that were released to try and make unloved sets sing) is going to run out of ways to do so. The game setting those represents a team of other minds setting interesting challenges. A group of people is going to have more ideas than one, typically.
  4. But video games and public parks aren't the same thing. That's like saying, imagine there's a grocery store, and everyone just raids it, but some people still pay. Those rude people who want everything for free are picking the pockets of those who are trying to keep the store running! What rude cards! Except... that's a bad example, and doesn't really apply to how video games as a whole even work, except to just try and make one side of this seem as bad and dumb as possible? Hell, even the topic creator, when given a response that was clearly just belittling in the "Pride and Accomplishment" badge from the choice of words, said "that doesn't sound too bad, having an opt in like that." Like... yeah, more "achievement" category badges or the like would be nice.
  5. There's some bizarrely aggressive stuff in here. Pretty telling people going "Let people play how they want to play!" are in the same breath basically going "You're dumb and how you want to play is dumb and you should go saw your limbs off and roll yourself into a tar pit."
  6. The complaints here are the small trade off kin suffers for being one of the best, if not -the- best support set. If Kin warrants a look, it should be the last in line for it.
  7. I like having goals that take some time to get to and have a clear and noticeable reward for which I am working towards obtaining in games. That's my input.
  8. No Knife-Edge Chops, either...
  9. Apex is great. I have 0 issues with it even on characters with huge wind ups (Titan Weapons, Energy Melee). It's easily some of the most fun content. Don't touch it.
  10. Eh, I don't feel like it's needed.
  11. And there he goes again!
  12. And if this were an i24 or i23 server, this might make sense. The fact of the matter is, this server has already changed plenty of things that weren't like how they were on live. And who are you to come and tell people when they can stop or resume working or fixing things? By virtue of you still being here, you've clearly liked all the "meddling" that's been done thus far.
  13. The last thing TW needs is a range buff. It's already an outlier in that respect compared to every other melee set. It only won't be for tanks after they implement those AoE buff changes (if they do) that are currently on beta.
  14. Well, actually, according to the datasheets posted here, on average across the whole game Smash/Lethal is resisted to .95, where as Toxic is resisted to .96, so they're actually pretty close as far as commonly being resisted.
  15. PVP is an entirely different beast, yes, however the vast vast majority of this topic is talking about PVE changes, since PVP ones can be made independently, and the team has shown they are in fact willing to do so.
  16. People need to stop making things up. Or at least be more specific with which Psionic set you're talking about.
  17. Bio Armor. So -regen/HP recovery and some other debuffage mixed in with good mitigaton. Psi Melee is fun, but it is not anywhere close to being a DPS frontrunner.
  18. Yes, I have a Psi Melee stalker at 50+3. And, naturally, I am pretty sure I could solo the ITF on it, but it'd probably put up a time of 45 min - 1 hr versus my time of 20ish minutes on my TW/Rad scrapper.
  19. No one is coming for Psi Melee. If anyone comes for it, it'll be to mark it as a candidate for some needed buffs.
  20. I use TW/Fire for farming, personally. Spines is alot less involved, TW is more active, which I like. Good AoE damage, great ST to murder the bosses. Easy to fit in a few different -res procs ontop of it. I just personally don't find Spines terribly engaging, more power to the folks that do.
  21. Ah, the two hours to fight a GM must've just included the time being the charmer that you are to form a team.
  22. I think someone's just starting to make things up wholesale in the face of, you know, factual statements. Well, "starting to" might be a tad generous.
  23. The only miserable person here seems to be you, mate.
  24. People who don't want TW changing seem to demand numbers, but different, theoretical numbers pulled from the Cleft of Dimension, rather than the numbers they're being presented with. As someone with a few TW at 50, I can safely say that 1) they do deal an absurd amount of damage in comparison to other melee classes, and 2) if they were to suddenly deal less damage, it's still a fun set to play.
