  1. QFT. Pretty much the only major (maybe even the only at all) thing I've seen '125 haters' complain about that wasn't part of I24 or even earlier, has been the Sentinel AT, and mostly those complaints are misguided in other ways (claiming that it's OP, or that it's too weak - seriously, it can't be both, and from what I've seen it's not really either one anyway).
  2. DJ Chronos dropped in yesterday to have a peek (I also popped in briefly on one of my other characters over the weekend to show off how wild player built bases can get, showed him Takamoto Industries' office, Club Valhalla, and then as the piece de resistance the Talos Keys Lounge). Crazy good build. I'm still not sure how you got music playing, because the command claims to work for me but I don't get (or at least don't hear, and my music channel is up enough because I heard your music) any music in Valhalla and I've tried multiple times.
  3. This, plus less trim-and-toned options (you may pooh-pooh it saying that "superheroes and villains can't be anything but slim and/or built, because of all the exercise they get", but remember that, just in Marvel's canon alone, there are Blob, Big Bertha, Volstagg, Dr. Octopus, Fat Cobra, Mojo, Kingpin, Goldballs, and then some; not to mention DC's Bouncing Boy and likely more that I can't think of off the top of my head; MacFarlane's Clown/Violator; Valiant's Faith; and probably more from those last two and other indie publishers).
  4. That or this guy (Yusuke Kitagawa aka "Fox" from Persona 5) I'm in too.
  5. Actually Leandro said in his stream (the only one archived on his Twitch channel, LeandroTLZ) it's "on the list", and that's why he hasn't added any new NPCs despite there being quite a few visual and at least a couple functional (Cosmetic Surgeon, Auction House though that one is probably more because it doesn't play nice with instanced mission maps which the base maps technically are). Eventually he wants to switch the NPC tab into one (or maybe three, one for males, one for females, one for Huge bodytype?) standardized NPCs, which you would then assign a model/texture from a list, an animation and/or a function.
  6. Awesome idea. I made some updates to the Club Valhalla entry (location, my global handle, a couple notes), just fyi.
  7. ould be ueful, but then ht if you nted to ctully y omething tht h the letter , , , or in it? See how big of a problem that would be? (For reference, that should read "Would be useful, but then what if you wanted to actually say something that has the letters W, A, S, or D in it?")
  8. You can build up past the roof (but there's a hacky way to do it, you have to fill a tile of a room into a column and put the base portal on top of that column via room clipping), but you need to either use in-base teleports to get up there afterwards, or leave the base teleporter up there after you do and use in-base teleports to get back into the actual confines of the proper base area.
  9. I won't be listing the abbreviations for all the zones in the game here, someone else can do that, I'm in a rush to get ready to head out for the weekend, just wanted to lend a hand. AE = Architect Entertainment, the player-created mission hub (and formerly the best or second-best way to level up quick, now it's just good for interesting story missions and Influence/Infamy farms) AH = Auction House, sometimes also WW for Wentworths AP = Atlas Park BAB/BaB/BaBs = Back Alley Brawler, formerly Galaxy City's trainer/signature hero before Galaxy became a tutorial zone and BaBs was moved to a corner of AP DFB = Death From Below, currently the best way to level quickly pre-level 20, also a source of any-level (roughly the level you are at the time) Single Origin enhancements, which either provide a solid boost to a power's stats or a significant (especially early-game) amount of Influence/Infamy, and a temp-power that boosts either (choice) your Damage, Accuracy, Defense (or Resistance? Don't recall), or Recovery, which lasts a full week of logged-in time or until level 22, whichever comes first DiB = Drowning in Blood, a DFB replacement from level 15 up DO = Dual Origin enhancements, which provide twice the boost of equivalent-level Training Origin enhancements GC = Galaxy City, formerly the alternate starting zone after finishing/skipping the tutorial, currently a shared tutorial between Heroes and Villains, where the choices you make during the tutorial, instead of just clicking a button on a menu, determine which side you're on HO/Hami-O's = Hamidon Origin enhancements, obtained by fighting the raid boss Hamidon in the Hive (heroes) or the Abyss (villains) (Also SHOs/SHOes, or Synthetic Hamidon Origin enhancements, obtained from the Statesman and Lord Recluse Task Force/Strike Forces) Inf = Influence or Infamy, depending if you're hero or villain. The currency of the game IO = Invention Origin enhancements, which level with the player instead of expiring after 4 levels and being 'too high' when you're 4 levels below them P2W = "Pay2Win". In most games it's a commentary on 'real money economy' and cash shops, in this one it's a tongue-in-cheek reference to that same commentary, because the P2W shop in CoH is 100% real-money-free, everything costs either nothing at all or various amounts of Inf ranging from 'hey that's pretty cheap' to 'exorbitant' (but if you farm AE or DFB/DiB, even the exorbitant prices can become 'hey that's pretty cheap' quickly) PD = Pocket D, the neutral nightclub and RPers' retreat. Home to the earliest-accessible cosmetic surgeon (second floor of the Tiki Lounge on the villains' side, though heroes can go there as well), and Null the Gull (who can, among other things, send you to fan-made seasonal event zones at any time, and instantly switch you between Hero, Villain, Vigilante, and Rogue) RWZ/RMT/MST = Rikti War Zone, Rikti Mothership Trial, MotherShip Trial. An endgame cross-faction co-op zone/trial where heroes and villains alike fight off the Rikti invasion SO = Single Origin enhancements, which are twice as good as DOs/four times as good as Training Origins TF/SF = Task Force (heroes)/Strike Force (villains) TO = Training Origin enhancements, aka the ones you'll be using for the first part of the game unless you're like most people and run DFB and get the early-game SOs from that
  10. Jester set, iirc. Also, I posted this in another thread (it's not an exact copy, but as close as I could figure out how to get with the tools we have): This is "The Elite Warrior", my homage to Dragon Ball Z's Vegeta. Comes complete with Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue/Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, and the "Badman" pink shirt and yellow pants, as well as the Saiyan battle armor pictured above (well, as close as I could get to Saiyan battle armor). My first homage character..
  11. What justicebeliever said, plus for the people who want to 'frame' their screen in power trays, if you take a Horizontal one and drag it into the side of the screen, or a Vertical and drag it into the top/bottom, it 'bends' around the corner of the screen, allowing you to produce effects like what iirc Healix showed off in the "Um... are you lost?" thread that developed into a discussion thread on how Healix made the macro window that has buttons instead of round macro icons.

  13. *Ahem* Attention everyone! My name is DJ Chronos, and I would like to invite one and all to the hottest new nightspot in (or out of) Paragon City, Club Valhalla! I've jacked into the city's base teleport system, so you can access the club from any base access location via the passcode "VALHALLA-4422".* Just a note for the time being, Club Valhalla is still under construction, so while we are open for business, be aware that what you see may not be the final state of the club. WE ARE OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS, as well, so if you see something we've done wrong, or haven't done that you'd like to see, drop a message in the suggestion box† and we'll be happy to take any and all suggestions under consideration. There are only two rules: First is that the club is a neutral environment, so if you see any 'hated enemies' or 'bitter rivals' having a good time, DO NOT spoil it! And second, PARTY ON, and have a Super time! *((I'll edit that later if I misremembered the numeric code, if you try to visit before I get a chance then please let me know if there's any error in the passcode.)) †((By which I mean DM me, or comment in the "COMING SOON: A NEW NIGHTSPOT IN PARAGON!" thread.))

  15. Pretty sure that would be a power balancing nightmare. Champions Online does it, though that's as a real-money thing (which they occasionally give away), so it's doable.
  16. Might be difficult, but conceptually it (especially the alt costumes version) would be perfect for my new character "Mobile Armor Sigma". The concept is 'four young cadets at a military academy in the asteroid belt stole a mecha to help fight off the enemy, then in the middle of the battle the mecha with them in it was thrown through a space-time distortion and they ended up in Paragon City'.
  17. (((Holy necropost, looks like people forgot about this thread!)) *Ahem* Attention everyone! 18. You mean like 'pay Inf in, for a chance to either win big or lose it all' work, or just animate? Either would be awesome, but as just a player, I have no idea how easy or hard that would be.
  19. Looks like it might be Healix's custom.window trick (as seen in the "Um... are you lost?" thread), but it's a little different, such as the buttons being gray. But then again the whole interface is gray, so I assume that's just window color settings from the Options menu at work.
  20. Ah, there's half my problem, I'm trying to build Club Valhalla with DJ Chronos still at level 1... I need to go run missions/DFB until she hits at least 4 to get fly to make that work, then.
  21. Anyone have tips on juggling multiple Insta accounts? I already have one for personal use (because the app came with my phone and I figured 'why not', plus it's nice to share the occasional photo somewhere that isn't Facebook or something), but I feel like some of my characters, especially DJ Chronos and Girl Gadgeteer, would definitely do this, so I'd like to actually set something like that up.
  22. (Don't crucify me for not searching, searching for "under base" brings up anything that has not only the words "under" and/or "base", but words that contain them, like "Founders Falls" and "basement") Can anyone help me figure out how to build below the base bounds? I figured out (or rather watching Leandro's base showoff stream taught me) how to build on top, but under eludes me completely.
  23. Interestingly, me telling you about that made me realize I did the teleports at DJ Chronos's base/nightclub all wrong, I should have used the Arachnos flyer and Longbow chasers(?) that I have in the makeshift 'parking lot' as teleports, flyer for villain zones, chasers(?) for hero zones (since between city and hazard zones, there's enough that I'd need to use two teleporters or more for hero zones alone), and maybe an open exposed portal for Pocket D and a generic plane/heli for Kallisti Wharf, instead of half-hiding mushroom circles in the back.
  24. How difficult is it to rename a server? I mean well-established in players' minds, not that it's already the name at all. Like I don't even have to think anymore, someone asks what server I'm playing on, "Oh, Everlasting over on Homecoming". Someone asks what server CatPeachGG (a streamer I discovered last night who normally plays Heroes of the Storm but started playing CoH last night) is on, "Excelsior!"
