Can something be done re DXP on Indom please?
Scarlet Shocker replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in Indomitable
revisiting this post I'm very happy to see that five individuals have gotten involved in it. That's super encouraging given that is approximately four times the number of actual people on the server itself 🤣 -
Bless you!

Going Hero to Villain, will I lose my missions?
Scarlet Shocker replied to missingsc's topic in General Discussion
One thing you haven't mentioned is the level you plan to swap missions. If you're below 50 and swap sides, you might find you outlevel all your content - unless you're turning off XP. -
Do higher level Freaks still need buffing?

That is the very nature of PUGs. I don't think there would be any difference on any server in most games. Working as a team is the entire objective and many pugs simply don't. That's been my experience in pretty well every MMO I've played -

We have a regular Saturday team (and the occasional casual teaming) on Indom in our little group and it works well and is rewarding. There will usually be about six of us regular players and we'll often pick up a couple of casual guys to fill the team so that is not an issue at all so far as our experience goes. Obviously we'd welcome anyone who wanted to join us but we're pretty solid as things happen and arrange stuff via our discord, so that's not an issue at all. One of the reasons I like Indom - and this is entirely personal - is that it is low pop. In my eyes, superheroes/villains, metahumans etc whatever you wish to call them should be relatively few and far between, and outnumbered by the villain groups and other ne'er-do-wells of the environments. It gives a bit of extra flavour to that aspect of the game, where the protagonists are the ones under pressure. -

I know that exists but I don't always remember in time and I'm actually quite happy to level at the "normal" pace, which means generally speaking I don't have to. Disabling (and reenabling) XP is a bit of a PITA and I'd much rather forget about it -
I wonder what it was about the live game the OP prefers? Since Sunset we got our beloved game back, we have new ATs, we have lots of new content, and I think most of us would agree that the game is better now than what it was when it wasn't as good as what it is. Why are you asking? You never usually ask when to rant. 🤣

Our regular saturday team often outlevels content due to the "inherent" DXP, especially at lower levels. This was very noticeable on our last run and we look set to start another soon from level one. I don't object to DXP per se but it doesn't seem to have had the desired effect in load balancing (or at least significantly) and the DXP is unavoidable as it stands. Can it be made to be optional somehow (like something Null the Gull could offer) for those who want it, while allowing it to be disabled for those who don't? I don't want to bollix up enjoyment for players who like it but it would be great to have a choice.

Welcome I'd strongly advise that you play and enjoy the content, especially at first. Probably most easily done as a hero in Paragon (rather than a villain, or Praetorian.) Blue, red, then gold, to put it in colloquial terms. You can power level but you will lose out on a lot of player experience and feel for the game and some of the best content is along the journey. (It's not bad to PL per se but I firmly believe you'll have a much more rewarding experience doing it old school) Make lots of alts and experiment with different ATs (Archetypes) to discover which you like best. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of powerset combinations so have fun discovering those too. Don't be afraid to ask for help in the Help chat channel. People are pretty friendly and will give good advice. Have many funs.

Doc Buzzsaw's pronouns are they/them after that dreadful accident as a teen in the woodshop. There are still questions about how one mistakes a table saw for a photocopier, but there you have it... or perhaps not.

Rogue Isles Villains SG problems Help! ?? !!!

Put the VG to bed and call it the Snarkoleptics! -
there is a "Neck cover" option in the mask section if you want to leave her face unmasked. You could then add some of the shoulder options which I think give a few neck options too such as wire or chain and play with the colours.

I do actually remember picking up a lot of debt because my nuke was about as much use as a chocolate teapot and didn't kill everyone who could then turn round and kill me. It quickly became apparent that I'd either have to wait until the mobs were all near death (which makes the nuke mostly pointless) or skip it. The latter was the most viable option. I guess the OGDevs recognised that in reworking nukes

That depends on the kind of crayon or paint I don't think many fabrics can hold brushes though.. I'll give you that one /em looks at the thread title. Looks at D-I-E. Colours it with flavour

I have to say, rereading this thread, that I am somewhat sad because nobody made the obvious joke about colouring fabrics

That's the beauty of it. There are many more ways to play the game than most think. I played what worked for me. You may have had a very different experience which is great. Doesn't mean either of us are wrong or even "more right than the other" it's just how we roll as individuals. That's the wonder of this amazing environment that's still going strong after two decades!

Bloody Luxury! The original snipe was completely wank. It was devastating in its power but it was single target and failed to kill much more than a Lt. but if you didn't already have a tank aggroing the target, the whole mob would alpha strike you and that would usually mean a trip to the hospital and running back to the mission, with a boatload of debt. Fast Snipe isn't exactly brilliant now but it is a shit-tonne better than it was, so unless you want to take that aggro (Sentinels maybe?) it works mostly now but does offer a nod to its legacy origins. Back then, I quickly found that there were two powers from a blast set you could easily skip, the snipe and the T9, simply because of their lack of value

Maybe it's a one man channel. He's always standing alone, without a dream in his heart... that earworm? you're most welcome!
