Regular sets should provide set bonuses until 7. As per regular Exemplaring. And as the Wiki states. I am equally unsure about your "knowledge" of how the Superiors work.
-
I always look in the back of the textbook for the answer. You really want me to do the experiment myself???

The effects of exemplaring down to level 9 (doing Ouro stuff) is not addressed in the Wiki. Does anyone know? This is everything Wiki says that might be relevant. Overview Winter Origin (WO) Enhancements are all-unique and attuned enhancements. There are four damage sets and a hold set, for a total of five sets. Standard winter enhancements grant set bonuses that are roughly equivalent to rare enhancement sets, while superior winter enhancements grant set bonuses that are roughly equivalent to very rare enhancement sets. Each standard enhancement has a level 10 minimum requirement, but as an attuned enhancement, the enhancement portion will increase as the character's level increases. The enhancement portion is affected by exemplar as normal. Set bonuses for standard enhancements will operate down to level 7. Superior Enhancements Enhancement catalysts can be applied to the standard enhancements to boost them to "Superior" versions with higher enhancement values and bigger set bonuses. However, catalyzing a winter enhancement will also increase the minimum level requirement to 50, similar to very rare (purple) enhancements. To catalyze a whole standard set into a superior set, a player must have six enhancement catalysts, as each piece must be catalyzed separately.

I never used zzzzzz. THe only recent use of messages like this was when I was Tanking a Shadow Shard TF and they dimension shift you. i would tell the team. Not that they could do anything, but I thought they should know,

Doing good so far. Finished all content through 9 and just have 3 contacts in 10-14 left before moving on. Caltrops of course works wonders on big pulls. I had a choice between bean bag and hasten and chose bean bag. The damage is meh okay as a finisher now but the stun is very nice on a pull. Caltrops down. The +60% damage on first strike from targeting drone with a Sniper Rifle puts down a lot of stuff. Stun another and you usually just have one Lt or minion running at you….through caltrops. Of course strategy will change in the higher levels Did a Posi1 last night. I even asked people not to go near the steps. Two people hopped right up there as I watched. I dropped caltrops and the team fought everything at the bottom of the steps. I ate a large purple and two med reds. I have a bunch of P2W nades and as I was the only Blaster I just unleashed hell. Between that and the two AoEs and a couple good ST I was Fing things up. We did not wipe! I have a one Incarnated now AR Dev, but this will help me refine power choices and playstyle, as well as being a lot of fun. On my third day, 200 badges in and will have 300 today (I location badge at the end of the night to hit goal).

Is 45% S/L defense still worth it for ranged ATs?
Snarky replied to Tankshock's topic in General Discussion
with a fully ranged AT? I go for Ranged Def (which tend to get Energy!) and then some AoE def if it fits -
might want to mention the server you like....?

There is still a toon here or there in the SG. But the core leadership (Who hosted weekly Incarnate Trials including Master Magisterium every Saturday, and nightly content 99% time...) just all up and went to a different game. Now WoW, but something like it. I know they had "done" everything on CoH, with many holding speed run times and all the badges. Still, seemed wild. It is dead there now.

I would hate that. i was afraid LRM would transform but thankfully it just fires from the old faithful. I use the old original AR model. I call it a Dally Gun (Dial-A-Gun)
-
Well Cosmic Council shows no signs of returning. Kind of wish there were other solid SGs like that on each server. Organized, regular, very competent. You know, the basics.

Never leave the game. Never.

I think most of us find the power repellant.

Tony Stark had dancing girls when he made his presentation. Just sayin'...

Yeah, Dark Blast was originally Corr only, proliferated to Blasters issue 21. And they made (and by made I mean they slapped something together and went to the bar.....at their desk) Dark Manipulation in issue 21 as well. it got a rework in issue 27 and it still SUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKSSS.
-
Dark Dark is wonky and, in my opinion, will never be touched or fixed on HC. That is for a Blaster. But.... If you run Dark Dark Dark Corruptor all the wonkiness goes away and the thing lines up like someone designed it that way. Which.....not a history buff. wasnt this orig a corr thing ported over to blasters and....done with the normal "the plane hit the ground so it must have landed" precision...?

I have not tested this. Anything that makes the game think you are "in combat" drops it. I need to get good with an AR now which is why I am soloing on one. Does popping an insp drop it? What powers will/wont? Lot of questions. Another detail that makes playing this combo a lot of fun to me.

Time for me to solo Redside again. This time it will be on a AR Dev Blaster. Concept. Thug comes to Paragon to steal a truck and gets turned into a vampire. Has no real powers besides a refusal to die. So....he finds a local fence and starts grabbing all the tech he can get and firepower. Sunscreen field generator. Expensive but important! Grenades, guns, teleporters, get everything! Rules. (Redside, there are no rules....) All P2W goodies. Rolling Rogue. Will be semi casually badging the entire game as I level. Stop exp at 4, 7, 8, 9, 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 39, 44 to do ALL Redside contacts and side missions. Complete all Redside content in each level range before moving on. Almost all content completed at the last level it is offered. 20-40 done at 40. 35-50 done at 50. 20-29 done at 29. Roll through DFBx4 and then DiBx4 for buffs lasting to 22 then 30. Cash no object, idea is to crush the missions using every tech 'cheat' the rogue can scrounge. Fun stuff: Costume will 'evolve' over time from Vamp in street clothes at 1 to a slight tech outfit with rocket boots and jet pack when Fly power is added at 8. Then way later when body armor power from munitions mastery is added at 35 I will add some more armored looking pieces. Can;t decide if I will add a helmet then....probably? maybe not.

We definitely need more gun options that explain all the powers on the weapon. Maybe something high tech with little glowing lights and projections. Maybe a steampunk version that did not look like a fluglehorne but had devices on it
-
if you are counting heavy bats and light bats as two separate auras you got issues.
-
Why is there no vanity pet Bat? One word folks. And it hurts.
-
I was considering this for either a "Little Green Army Man" or "Small Soldiers" (from movie with Tommy Lee Jones) for a fun AR concept. But the non persistent would break with story and I pass.

It will come as little shock to forum lurkers that I adore Redside. I saw a post In General a day or so ago that went something like “some people find running villains therapeutic”. Not an exact quote because my memory doesn’t work that way. I am not sure me running Red is healthy “therapy” but I do love it. First. Let me address the population issue. Perfect!!! Yes! You see…. Do you see? Hmmm. How to explain? If Redside were popular it would simply be less Red. A true villain will grok this. But how to explain it to tourists? Let’s take a look at vampires. If there were more than a handful of vampires in a large city, or one or two in a small city…things would devolve quickly. Too many disappeared, too many bodies, too much evidence, too many questions. Likewise with organized crime. There are only so many “made” guys. Sure, a lot of people think being associated with true criminals gives them something. Like the military has “stolen valor” criminals have “ stolen rep”. While the true black hats are doing everything they can to hide every crime they do while squirreling away cash and power. But there are very few at the top. Everyone needs to be working for the organization (and that means one boss in reality) or they are very expendable. Having a constant flow of new super criminals flowing in and hanging out in the courtyard in Mercy would almost be embarrassing. Changes to Red. Greater ability to destroy object and wreck NPCs. Cars. Let us kill cars. Especially the ones driving. And have all the destruction count for the badges (cars, hydrants, civilians, everything). I do want to thank the HC Devs for writing great Redside versions of all the content they add. Seriously, this is good stuff. Now that I have read this and with the new tweaks and additions to the game I am making a new Redside commitment. This means me soloing more again, so you will hear me bitching less about PUGs…maybe. You see every 6 months to a year I take a toon and solo all Redside. I hate Gold and Blue is yawntown. But Red? Fughedaboutit. Now since back on live I always thought it would be a hoot to do something like that on an AR/Dev Blaster. Heard people on live talking about solo strategy in mission, the mines and pulls etc. Now with the changes to AR? The time has come. I may even have a concept…. Say some small time hood gets (dramatic music…duh duh duh….) turned into a vampire. Only there is no tremendous amount of magic power, or money. Being undead has some benefits sure, but you got to have a place for a coffin. So he picks himself up an assault rifle and starts taking some of that cash people got too much of. A few jobs and he can afford to buy some better ammo and bombs from a local “shopkeeper” he knows. Oh, yes. It is time for a vampire AR/Dev crime spree…
-
Yeah, that breaks concept for me. So, hard pass at that price.

People pay 1500 Prismatics.....literally for the ability to look like the undefined blobs on the start screen. Drugs are bad, m'kay?
