  2. If you have end issues in the modern game it is due to one or two factors, possibly both. Either an ignorance about how to make cash or an ignorance of how to build once you have cash The panacea, miracle and numina in health and perf shifter in stamina will solve most end issues. I run end heavy builds and there are tricks based on toon and playstyle past the basics. Most of my builds still dive into leadership hard, again, even if solo taking (even while solo) maneuvers and tactics is a ghetto level shift against every mob you fight. It changes the terrain you fight on. You now have the high ground.
  3. I tend to run these on as many toons as I can fit them on. I solo a lot, and when I team it is semi serious. These buffs are great. People who do not value them do not understand the math behind the game face.
  4. I had a Elec/Elec Scrapper on live. The only Scrap I ran at 50. worthy. Think about it....

  6. I have not run hard mode yet but evidently the surgeons teleport now. Game lore is they are nictus powered now evidently. But having fold space or some such would be handy. I was quite surprised at how hard they are to kill now and i was on a Beam Rifle blaster! If you do not kill one in one shot, or with second kill shot queued they are gone. In a normal ITF surgeons slow your team, I hunt them like they owe me money. In a hard mode challenge they might be a breaking point for the team. If you cannot keep your DPS counting you might as well be reading your email instead of hitting something.
  7. My SG reported a similar experience on a organized but ‘casual’ attempt. They had Discord and knew each other for months and years. They brought good toons but not the “perfect team”. They communicate well, they are good players. It was a shit show. My two takeaways 1) this challenge is for perfectly built teams designed specifically for this event. 2) I really do not care to play this shit Now I proudly embrace “dirty casual”. But me and two people from this same SG 3-personed a LGTF on +4/x8. The only hard part was hero 1. His regen is stupid hard to burn with 3 peeps. One of the team was half drunk (not me, i never drink….wine) It was fun. This thing looks less like a challenge and more like an exercise in chewing paint off walls. Like the Dev that created Synapse was like “wait until you see the real task force…)
  8. some of us are just living life shard outta luck
  9. As buggy as it is I cannot see how Katie Hannon got any votes. I like low end content. While I favor villain story lines I think the job done on Positron TF was excellent. I like both one and two. Also, Synapse got votes? Even an OCD grinder like myself stopped beating that dead horse long ago
  10. This gating rewards so that certain sub population get exactly what they want has always been a pet peeve of mine. I like low end content. Earns diddly even when i play months at it. Then there is this, earn a decent reward, time gate unless you grab an alt. But the rewards are transferable so wtf….
  11. I found a middle ground. Not quite player D. I gather recipes. Usually through normal play. Or when i get a new alt and farm them ip to 50 in a few hours i have a bag of recipes. Then i craft/convert those to a handful of very marketable enhancers. Sell at about 80% going market price. Bam. Usually 200-300 mill per 50-60 or so recipes. Netween the farming crafting converting it is a bit of time investment. Plus of course the farmer earns inf during those hours. The cheesiest way is AFK farming. But i can never stay AFK when it is up. Too OCD
  12. There is a metric crapton of content (non OURO!) available at 50. It will require alignment switching to catch it all. All 35-50 content, all 40-50 content, and all 45-50 content. This is a LOT of play. Just poke around the wiki for contacts in those level ranges.
  13. The recoding on this would be a nightmare. I would guess. Part of Tanks resistance involves reducing the time of the effect. How would you address that? And a million other questions…
  14. You could dominate the orange salvage market. You wont make a lot. But evidently an idiot or two were quite entertained by it a few months back. Seriously though. Why do you need to make more influence? It is like raining cash in this game
  15. Interesting concept to me. But I think applied with an overly broad brush Think of a fire AoE. It does the same FIRE to everyone in the area. I do not care if 100000000 ants cram into the area they all take the same fire damage. Maybe some mystical power drawn from a certain talisman would only have so much juice to deliver….much like an electric battery… and therefore having 8 bodies each would get 1/8 the effect. Wait? Is that how electric charge works irl? Or does each act as a resistor and get the full brunt? Lol But in general just too broad a change. Also to late to reinvent AoE. Maybe an interesting idea for a future powerset. Would make ST on AVs mich more powerful once you clear the trash
  16. Actually not really. I have pretty much moved onto a new game except for a few posting here each week hoping for change. And an hour or so of SG event Friday nights. My Brute stories have reached their end. I will not watch it any longer
  17. Truth. ATOs should, in a perfect way world, be an excellent set to place in the AT though. Especially the PROC. When it falls flat it hurts so bad. You sit and think of all that could have been. Then glance jealously at the ATs who got near perfect ATO sets looking like surf and turf while you got runny peanut butter on stale bread
  18. Some are born Snarky, some achieve Snarkiness, and some have Snarky thrust upon ‘em…
  19. if you count concept, costume, and using your above edit PLing to 50 and respec i would say (including breaks) 6-8 hours. If it a storyline toon i am not PLing then maybe an hour or two depending on happiness with concept, costume etc.
  20. While it is true Sentinels and MMs suffer greatly THIS IS A BRUTE THREAD. Seriously though, sentinels suffer, even suffer worse, than Brutes by being a Hybrid design that the Dev staff has never known what to do with. Brutes had a glory day, until archetype mixing when ugly jealousy and champions of Scrappers and Tanks were able to cut Brutes to pieces inch by F-ing inch. I have a currently built Elec Temp Blaster which is more survivable than 95% of sentinels and outdamages Sentinels with half its offensive powers tied behind its back. Masterminds never found a niche, honestly. originally designed as the redside Tank teams had zero patience for the setup and Brutes were charging in and mostly Tanking (or else) anyways. So MMs became a concept class mostly. But Brutes were fine, if a little dated for todays modern game of damage patches and now extra agro from artillery NPCs. But Brutes have been stolen from and watched adjacent classes be given great stuff, then they get stolen from a bit more. then a bit more. Its enough to give you Fury. Except that got nerfed, and no doubt will get nerfed again. *looks at spreadsheet graph of trends. Yep, math checks out. Fury should get another nerf in a patch or two.
  21. Look, I switched to a Beam Rifle Blaster for Really Hard Way Magisterium Trial. After ai went in with a Brute and did almost no damage because of endless deaths. Take your pick of ANY Incarnate Trial and most of the new content and I can run a Sentinel that will out damage a Brute. Because the newer stuff leans into unmitigatable damage patches that punish melee. A good league will have one Tank propped up by healers and everyone else on DPS except for a few healers. The game design went to the holy trinity and abandoned the mixed class Redside wildness If you think Blasters are crap in end game you either have an incredibly poor Blaster build or struggle to hit buttons. Do you drink much?
  22. After all that you get to the point. In case you missed it I am a Brute player. I have left this game almost completely now due to the shift away from content heavy melee can do in end game. Granted the Tanker AoE buff was not part of that reason. More like adding insult to injury. Make it nearly impossible to run heavy melee in end game then buff Tanks AoE. Fine, i get it. Enjoy the Blaster game with your pet tanks and healers. But since this game is trying to mimic the biggest mmorpg team makeup…. I decided to see what is so good about that and have headed over for a look
  23. But it is not just damage. It is all effects of the larger AoE, and many of the secondary effects are very desirable to have running. To argue the larger AoE is still not good enough for the Tank vs the Brute is either disengenious or uninformed.
