  1. I started with SS/Invul on Brutes. Using SOs. Had not much idea what the Def crash meant for 6 months. That End crash was annoying though.
  2. Talking about running double stacked rage while asking for no crash is...... In my opinion Rage should be made into a toggle, with the End cost divided up into a regular per tick rather than once every two minutes. 1 stack, constant, no crash. I am out of this topic.
  3. 1) it is every two minutes 2) There is a lot of very effective things you can do. Not the least of which is.....taunt Look, it is annoying. But crying about it like a kid going to the dentist is not helping. The set is balanced around RAGE and it is almost broken since it is the best build up in the game. easily.
  4. I want the freak lower leg ( legless hover platform) from one of the freaks in the doc buzzsaw arc (the new one). So jealous
  5. i appreciate new eyes on this. i am new to blasting really (Brute Playah) and am a second rate builder at best. Depending on your desires I might direct you to start picking speed runners thoughts on builds. They are experts at running to an objective and DESTROYING the area, getting the objective and moving on.
  6. I played SS/Invul Brutes for a couple years on Live. Redside. First year mostly SOs. When sidekicking meant being WAY below team level. The RAGe crash is annoying. Damned annoying. But completely dealable with, especially on Invul. Your toughest issue is actually the Endurance drop. The enemies in most content cannot scratch Invul. Once you get used to running it against most enemies then you will develop tactics for Carnies and BS like that. When the crash happens be ACTIVE. Do inspiration management (combine/use) Open your map or look at it. WTF is your team doing? Use alternate attacks. Anything that cannot be +damaged (Sands of Mu etc.) is also NOT affected by the damage drop. use stun grenades from P2W vendor. Use most of the syuff from p2W vendor. Reposition. those ten seconds are the perfect time to travel. Move your butt to somewhere useful. GL.
  7. I am so bad with comps I have not tried the alt tab thing. But I really hate the small monitor. I may try this. My toons come back onto the big monitor with the entire GUI pretzeled lol

  10. There are two ways I move things from the crowd of alts in my solo base to the 4 I have in two Cosmic SGs. The slow but steady email. sigh. The fast (but clunky) method of booting up CoH on my 2nd comp and logging in my farm account (the one I use to PL my main accts alts when desired) I have the toon holding all the goodies meet the farmer in game. Dump everything on them. switch characters and have the farmer dump everything onto the destination toon. If you do not have a 2nd farm acct I cannot ovestate how great it makes things. I use it rarely, but when I need a 50 and i need it fast....bam.
  11. Cosmic Council Discord is at https://discord.gg/DVksJ4N Go there. in the Rules and info channel read the first post "Welcome to rules and info" Then in the Gateway channel post that you have read the rules, your global, and the character(s) you want in the SG. We have a main SG, and a good number of alt SGs. The reserves, and my current main is in the revenants. very magic themed base. The Cosmic Council hosts daily content (usually in evening US time) with weekly Incarnate Trial badges (usually 4-6 trials) kicked off with Master Magisterium run. (this requires two Magi runs) Anyone who is interested may join. As a group of wacky adult gamers it can get wild. Our SG leaders are firm but fair (I have no idea how they put up with it all) I do recommend the SG to anyone who wants a stable gaming community of top notch gamers. These people do a Really Hard Way Magisterium like it is going to the corner store for milk. Many of our members are speed runners who have top times on things like ITF and ski slopes and all sorts of geeky things. We have character builders who will help anyone get a toon dialed into what the player wants, optimized to each players requests. Not that you need that. But there is just so much that the Council offers. Mostly though, really cool peeps. I hope to see you in game!
  12. there are some GREAT leaders of PUGs on Excelsior. Oklahoman, Confusion, Blitz, just 5 star players. I wish you could give 6 lol. But I think quite a few ?% of the players doing PUGs are not super serious. I joined a PUG Synapse a couple days ago that went nearly an hour and a half. and we got almost ALL small maps. Maybe all even. We mostly stayed together, except a couple bits of chaos in stealth ATT situations. That would have been 45 minutes with dialed in players. Just my 2 inf.
  13. Most of the characters that I am trying to PUG specific things on are lower level, possibly below max level (usually) of event/TF etc. The 50s I run can do whatever, and usually grab w/e ITF, Incarnate Trial, or event that posts in LFG
  14. I was fortunate with the star yesterday as well. Formed two Drowning in Blood. (Only one person stayed). These rounded out the four buffs I needed on my c r a w l i n g through the game toon. I may even need to go back and redo the first one i got with a random pug a couple weeks ago. But it went very smooth
  15. They are making Serious changes to Elec Blast in the stuff that is coming out…..very soon. If you want to give that beautiful combo a second go this would be the time.
  16. I have a Storm Water Blast Defender i cannot even bring myself to run. The knockback…… it….its alive!!!
  17. but (for tanks and brutes) Resist is capped at 90%. So we would have 90% max resist to the debuff. Which would start to chip away, unless over cap... In the hard mode Aeon no insp are allowed. So that means using Rune of Protection or Unstoppable to shore up flagging resists (Invul has meh Energy resists....) Trying to strategize before heading into the meat grinder....
  18. I understand in the new Strike Force on Beta (especially in the hard mode) that the mobs are using -res to pretty much strip armor from everyone. Can someone smart go over what happens to 90% resist when hit with -res? Is there resistance to the debuff? Does eating Oranges (or hitting Rune of Protection, or Unstoppable) help? thanks.
  19. I may be in pain but I keep grinding lol. I am working on a solo EVERY contact (red/blue/gold....stopping exp, side switching etc) and gaming in nearly every event Cosmic Council runs. That part is not painful. Why I do the huge projects? self loathing? sigh, we vampires hate ourselves. I also PUG some when I want a giant monster, zone event, or posi 1, synapse etc. and PUGs are still kit or miss. and when they miss? daaaaaaaaaaaaaam
  20. I have an insatiable desire to game. If not soloing a project I am teaming like crazy. Volume of PUGs = more opportunities to find the crazy times. My threshold for what i consider stupid is also not spectacularly high. Particular is +1 (or +4???) Posi or Synapse. And that happens. Which I find....moronic, stupid, and unfortunate. The fact that the next issue will reward us for running these at + makes them less stupid (if you got the chops to run it....) and will lead to more dumb teams who cannot handle it trying to get the rewards. In my opinion. So....more stupid PUGs. sigh. thankfully I have the Cosmic Council.
  21. I am always looking for another excuse to throw Unstoppable back on my Invul. Hyperstrike has great wisdom when he says it is completely unncessary in the current game. Sigh. But the game changed and the dog is chasing the ball again! In the relentless version of Dr Aeon I am (guessing?) I can use an old tactic to get through my Unstoppable crash. (High Recharge Dark Melee/Invul Brute....Crash, use PBAoE End recovery power, Dull Pain, Siphon Life Siphon Life Siphon Life) The question becomes is it worth it? Are they cutting through resistance so much that everything added from Unstoppable just melts and you are left with a crash? Instead of a popsickle....just the stick and a wet hand.
  22. Noooooooo Shadow Maul is great damage and with the relatively recent changes to area (easier to hit multiple opponents) it would be crazy to drop. In my opinion. (No, its F-ing crazy)
