  1. Dark's to hit debuffs add another layer of defense to Invulnerability's already mostly stellar performance.
  2. Yeah. I have many a starless night to my credit. I have developed a pretty smooth recruiting pattern. I watch the team build for people alting and take great care to let people side switch if they want in. I load the team by the first seven tells and exercise patience Does make me irritated when other team leaders do not do this. A lot. If i ask a team leader for a spot and they say yes, then i reply side switching only to find my spot is gone. Grrrrrr
  3. Giant frost o matic hand cannon. Ice trollers dream
  4. I have started leading TFs. Nothing difficult, +0/x team size for 1-45 TFs. I do this as part of my new strange obsession to take a toon through every TF/SF in the game in level order. So that means if the TF I want is not running I start one I was leading a Synapse and we got the bug of repeated “Defeat Long Tom”. After the second run through I put in a petition. In almost no time, less than 2 min definitely, there was someone on scene to help. ( they told us to everyone log off for two minutes, which works) On a Holiday weekend this all volunteer staff is willing and able to keep Paragon city lights going. Thank you. Thank you all! Now I am headed back Redside. Big Meeting in Grandville. Something about blowing up power plants and shutting the lights off in Paragon city.
  5. Dark Invul is the most tankiest combo there is. The synergy is insane. We all know Invul needs to be considered in "tankiest" armor contests. When paired with Dark and build a certain way you just get laughably strong performance.
  6. 7. O. Ya. A lot of this Brute Dark Fire enhancement set building is sideways to the way you would build it in a "normal" use of the powers. The thing plays like a ghetto melee AoE Blaster. With a buttload of armor and health. It's closer to farming than running regular content. Just burn it burn it burn!!!
  8. One of my big issues with costume weapons in game is they disappear. For me I would never run it, just due to that factor.
  9. you want a huge staff? is it enhanceable?
  10. The thing is a beast. Everyone knows an Ice Ice Blaster is a little lower damage and a lot more crowd control. Really almost all ice power sets (all? I haven’t played all) have this trend. Including the Tank. The thing is a Point Blank cannot be moved Crowd Control system!
  11. I found a crazy new way to enjoy an alt. I took an Ice Ice Tank and wanted to get decent with it. I do not play those sets and have been Blasting lately. So…. I farmed him up to 25 to get a decent base. The I ran every Task and Strike Force in the game. In level order. You have to avoid looking at the starting level of the Task Force because ones like Adm Sutter are 20-40 and should be run with the 35-40 group. This way you experience the powers coming in and learn to use them in the build. I just made a new Dark Fire Brute and am starting Posi 1 tomorrow morning. The adventure continues…
  12. Iam considering taking one of these hell beasts thru “the gauntlet”. PL to about 25, then run every task for e in the game in ENDING level order. So sutter is done with the 35-40 not the 20-25. This gives a good long time to develop strategies with the powers as you level. Also personally I sort of drift at 50 lol. I just did this on an Ice Ice Tanker. That was smooth. Not sure this run will be as smooth but it will be crazy. Want something with good damage auras and not sure I like any melee that qualify so thought I would get vicious with Fire. I love Dark and know it well.
  13. I have a Dark Dark Tank all kitted out. It is a beast, built for Resistance Accuracy and Recharge. I think it is incredibly tough and a mediocre Tank. Dark has a non suppressed Stealth that works against crowd control. My opinion. Dark Armor is Brute Armor. My opinion I just made an Ice Ice, I never ran before because I distrust Defense sets. But it is Winter and I am bored. It is miraculous at crowd control. It is relaxing and funny. My build isnt even good, I just threw Winter sets anywhere I could cram them for more defense and a few odds and ends. This thing is hilarious. And the crowd control? Did I mention the crowd control? 14. My concept was from last year. I made the saturated no feature costume parts, Spectrum, all bright white with Ice armor. Abominable snowman. Then when I went to build it Wednesday night I discovered the Fire and Ice costume and just used that. Ran it all day Thursday. By late Thursday an old concept creeped into my head. I had this backstory written up about a employee at a high end firm. At the holiday party he gets really drunk and obnoxious and keeps asking for more ice. He had no idea the owner of the company was a Lord of Space and Time and....not happy. So the Time Lord took the mans brain, put it on a robotic ice making machine. I tried this character as a corruptor, blaster, etc. Never realized it was a perfect Tank. I may rename him, but for now I am calling him Snarkycicle. On a more in game note. I did 2 DFBs then PL'd him to 25 in a Farm. Then Thanksgiving Day I ran, in order: Posi 1, Posi 2, Tarikoss, Synapse, Silver Mantis, Yin, Moonfire, Hess, Oper. Renault, Citadel, Katie Hannon. This way I could get the feel for the powers as they came in. Never ran an Ice Ice melee before. Really liking it and netted over 300 merits. Today I ran him 20 minutes in a farm to bring him from low 40s to 45. Then I am planning on Manticore, Numina, Sutter, Mort Kal. Probably not a Q. Then some level 50 (or 35-50, 40-50 etc) TF and stuff to get the feel once I respec and open Incarnates.
  15. I play on Excelsior. I had a weird experience on Everlasting. True story. Someone did not like how I played my Brute snd harassed me in game and on the boards. Just a bit. But I drive a semi in metro traffic for a living. I regularly get cut off and brake checked….two days ago in the pouring rain was last time. My blood pressure never even goes up. I was trying to determine if they were on drugs or armed but it is really a guess. Anyways I play on Excelsior and rarely do I experience lag. Sometimes just a hint of a stutter. Or if I run a MSR or play an invasion event targeting is hard and you get a ting false recharge on power trays. My graphics are dialed all the way up.
  16. I am looking for an Ice solid Ice/Ice/Arctic Build for the holidays. Fly as the travel power, because I am lazy. I have never built Ice, and am just looking for a very survivable generic PvE build. I like regular Incarnate trials and +4/x8 ITFs but tend to avoid the new starred content with a thousand deaths per task force. i never take ice sword powers. disappearing weapons irritate Thanks in advance

  18. I am on my Thanksgiving four day weekend. Where are my presents? Where? 😡😭🤬👿
  19. It was a QoL upgrade. For me. I am on mostly Brutes and Blasters and always take fly. A one pick dip into Concealment gives me stealth and a LOTG or Kismet Mule There are other recent changes I am less happy with (shut up Snarky!). um…. I need to go argue with my inner voices. Be back later
  20. Seriously though. I read a study (no way to cite, decades ago, and my memory is going to butcher the details) that the closer a construct (robot android) gets to human the more humans “like” it. Until a certain magic point where humans think it is creepy as hell. This Siege construct is still just a toy like creature suited for making a childs toy One of the reasons I avoid certain designs when constructing my robotic NPCs (one of my themes) is the lack of eyes. And no smooth way to cram them on. Bunker shield and Bot shield can solve a lot of that but do not look right with many helmets due to fit or obvious difference in texture and in effect look slapped on instead of integrated. Whoever designed Siege did a pretty good job but decided to go for a very basic noggin with some panels that may be radar arrays, access plates, or a spot to write random notes while working in the lab
  21. I have tried this a few times but never for long. It is damned squishy for the amount if agro it draws. Great damage but not quite enough to kill everyone coming at it before each one gets a few shots in. It haz mez holes knockback holes armor holes and trying to heal out of every fight gets old.
  22. I hate to break it to you but Siege doesn’t have a face. He is just a giant dick.
