Apparition is right. Take a look at people chatting about end game builds. The vast majority have a softcap strategy on at least S/L damage. My mostly ranged Blaster ended up softcap to Ranged damage, as well as Energy and Negative by coincidence. (most sets that give range Def give Energy/Neg Def) yes a Bubbler is good. But since everyone who plays hardcore already have that base covered (to a decent extent) it does take away some of the value a Bubbler would provide. Fire insurance salesman have a difficult time after everyone throws fireproofing material on the outside of their houses everywhere...

There are a number of zone events. The most intricate being The Seed of Hamidon event. Very cool.

I was about to reply to your post by saying there is a guy named Yomo that gives away 20 mil a pop.... but then, oh yeah, it's Yomo. If you catch me in game I will also give 20 mil to new players. I am not as organized (or un Snarky) as Yomo. But I value new people trying the old game. yomo is sitiing on an untold vast expanse of riches that I have heard desribed as over 400 bill, more than 2,000 billion, or progressively infinite like bitcoin. Myself, I am currently at a little less than 2 bill liquid and a few billion in stored enhancers. Enough to kit out a few top end 50s if I get a wild experimenting bug in me.

This is one of those "It is not the issue, It is MY not understanding." Sorry to be blunt. No Snarky offense intended. The market is very stable. even the market swings are in the -20% to +20% area almost all the time. That is because the value of everything is incredible predictable based on time to get, value to use. What the issue is (again, no offense intended) is that you do not understand how to earn. 1) Farming. Even a farmer built from Single Origin Enhancers can stand farming +0/x8 and start raking in cash. Use a Rad/Fire Brute. As he bulds tons of cash send half to your nedy alts and use the other half to finance his build. Will not take a week or so of hard gaming to generate a few billion. 2) Lazy (not efficient) way to make Inf for nothing. Get merits. (see ideas above) sell merits on Auction. they go for around 70,000 per merit. Free cash. 3) Craft. Take said merits. Get recipes. They drop. Craft all. 24 or less convert to uncommon. 25 or above convert to rare. convert to Def/Res/Heal/End Mod. Convert to sets like LoTG, Perf Shifter, Unbreakable Guard, Numina, about a half dozen other. Most sets have ONE proc. Unbreakable guard anything with Resist buff. convert to those. Sell. List at 80% current going rate. Free cash. Takes a while to learn/craft/sell. Good amount of cash. Not quite as much as farming in my opinion. 4) Run any (all) level 50 content. Cash flows, drops happen, merits, bling, sweetness, ka-ching, gold baby gold.

i do not use it. its a power pick that does not bring me closer to a goal. leadership manuevers is common for me

Evasive Maneuvers provides a moderate amount of Defense even while on the floor, but this defense is lost if you attack, buff allies, give an order to pets or interact with a mission objective

i got a little sad burning emps for threads. but only a little. all T4 at vet level 5 with 2 Destiny tier 4s, hope to have the 3rd soon, not willing to burn more emps quite yet for it

Thanks but i too just grab them to store. I have only got around 50 stashed though. Much as i love them they are not that easy to cram onto a high end build except for the random proc. The set bonuses, while high, are somewhat awkward except for the recharge and accuracy

I am at vet level 4 on my new 50. I have tier 4 on everything but Hybrid. I have the Hybrid built (tier 4) but am only 95% to unlocking it. I had emailed myself 7 transcendent merits so that is where all the parts came from. I hope to have 3 tier 4 Destinies by Saturday for my SGs incarnate trials

I know the RNG is fickle and also that perception is decidedly odd. Still i have not had a purple drop in quite a while. Although the pvp drop rate is solid as heck. Anyone else notice the same?

Yes. Although a lot more work. Not even talking about from Dev standpoint. Learning to navigate the doors corridors choke points and spawn / glowie location of freestanding multi level structures would be a ton of new situational options to cope with. But yes, more realistic structures would be nice

I used to like my Dark Dark Blaster for 1-50 and Incarnate. The more I learn to play it the more I love it. Great Damage and very good toolkit of utility powers

Are you talking AT or powersets? The most balanced powerset that comes to mind is Willpower Armor. Does great, the only struggle it has is trying to overclock it to meet uber standards. Which argues for it being balanced Balanced Archetypes? Is that possible? All have some deficiencies depending on content and most can be overclocked and a used. Given the right powersets and build. I could point out some of my least favorite Archetypes. But I would say Brutes, on whole, are the most balanced Archetype if I had to choose just one. Very solid. Not great damage while soling, because you are almost always at the beginning of a fight. But during team battles when Fury is pegged they do very well.

and epilogue... i forgot to turn off experience. *facepalm! I think I made this mistake at least once on live. embarrassing, but crap happens. and unlife moves on. this will be my badger for Excelsior. more hard stuff done on him pre 30 than many of my high badge characters have done yet! I might try Blue Side next time. That particular White Whale has never been landed by me. Cyas in the city.

Okay, August 14 seems much longer ago than it was lol. I got a LOT done. All Redside content completed. This was 20-29 and 25-29 at +0/x1, AVs as EBs. (The original default solo settings) Ouro all Blueside accomplishment badges through level 25. Ouro all Goldside 1-20 content. This was a LOT. sigh. Done at -1/x1. Goldside was overclocked in my opinion. I unclocked it. Not fun. First Ward all content done. This was fun. Ouro all Flashback badges for 1-15, 16-19, 20-24. Level 29 Haul: 807 Badges, 2, 576 Reward Merits, 147 Souvenirs, 940 mission completed with the 1 failure. 77 Flashback arcs in that mess. 203 hours in game. 30-34 content will be Redside at +0/x1, Nightward will be done with 35-39 content. Ouro will include only Flashback badges for 25-29 and the Blueside accomplishments for 25-29.
