Drop fighting. While great for CoH it detracts from your goal. Not every comic book character is super tough. By picking up fighting you are leaning into game mechanics and away from concept. My two cents. Use those pools to get more stuff that enhances the concept. Take Magic pool. You get flight and teleport in one power. BAMPH. Now look at other pools where you can get as many powers as possible to reflect the everysupereverything concept as fast as possible

Having a well regulated voice channel, being necessary to the security of a free place to express oneself, the right of the people to keep and arm bears, shall not be infringed. Seriously though, I really appreciate the Cosmic Council Discord. BECAUSE it is so well regulated. There are officers who monitor what is going on and organize publish weekly events. They do a ton of work. They lead content. They (with amazing deftness) nudge conversations away from dumpster fire territory without insulting anyone. In doing so they attract a real comfortable crowd of people to Leroy Jenkins content on. Oh sure, they use strategy and tactics. But I mostly run Brutes and Blasters. I have heard there are meaning to such words. I have my suspicions though.

Wow. That is a pretty good necro even by vampire standards

This is why I never joined Discord/ventrillo etc. Then I stumbled upon a SG with rave reviews that required it for badging incarnate trials. At least to be listen no talking required What I found us a mature (okay I am a tad childish but someone has to be) group that is fun to game with. Yes, some food tastes bad and some is hot garbage and bad for you. Other stuff is nutritious and wonderful. Why judge everything by the crappy diner on the corner?
-
not sure what server you are on. task force junkies on excelsior could probably rustle up one of those if anyone could.... (this is an in game channel like a private lfg)
-
Wait wut? Wtf. Discord but just to organize? I am lost. You mean chat up a bunch of peeps but then when the content starts just type? Or …. Again wtf? If you just want to type there are about a zillion options built into the game. Form SGs form TF channels. Form anything. Ise the in game public channels. Wtf is Discord without talking to people? I feel like i’m taking crazy pills. Its the same thing! Cant you oeople see this?

Balls. Seriously, balls. No ball options anywhere. Circles are not balls. Balls have heft.

I played CoH on live. I started Redside on Liberty. This will mean nothing to you. What it means is in reality it was a ghost town. With very few ghosts at that. But I came over from console games and any people seemed like a lot. Then after 6 months I moved to busy servers. When I rediscovered the game was back (thanks Homecoming) I played the same way as always. Typing. now in the meantime I had played some WoW and had done (very little) Discord there. I liked the thoughtfulness of typing. To me it seemed 'right' Then I found an SG (I do not recall how) that does hard badge attempts. They use Discord. Period. I have never looked back. Been playing with them for the better part of a year. Easiest way to do organized content and good friends. I play with Cosmic Council. There are top notch speed runners, builders, farmers in the group. There is a weekly Master Incarnate Trial(s) on Saturday. Starting with Master of Magisterium Really Hard Way. (They always get it, 97% on the first try) Cosmic Council is a large organized SG. We have a lot of quality players and a schedule of 1-2 events almost every day. Plus a lot of casual play and discussions on Discord: https://discord.gg/DVksJ4N read the Rules and info, if you are interested, then post in Gateway (under public channels) that you agree to the rules and who you want to bring on board. You will usually get a response in a few hours tops. The leadership is most active 6-9 Eastern time. Good luck!

I just dump a few hundred million on them from email. Who knew there was an easier way…..*rolls eyes

Freedom Corps and Longbow, terrorist or mercenary organizations.
Snarky replied to The_Warpact's topic in General Discussion
Longbow is secretly a cult. Not even most Longbow know this. The thing was set up to support Kheldian world domination. While Khelds pretend to be heroes they are in fact the vanguard of a Cthulu invasion of our dimension Kill all Longbow. Save the world -
You may have internet lag? I get instant purchase at 5k on yellow salvage. About a year ago once in a great while have to pay 10-15k. Not at comp now so cannot check in game. Also salvage is seeded so there is a cap. Unsure what it is on yellow last tip. Say something in general about needing yellow salvage on market. Current peeps are pretty responsive

I love making oddities. Shocking right? Bodyless floating heads! Yes there is a Dev created Freakshow in one of the new arcs. It has “hoverlegs” having removed its legs and placed some strange mechanical hover platform. I would love to have that. Of course i take fly on everything. I suppose walk would be just floating at normal height above the ground. there are so many good ideas in this thread. i suppose extremely thin arms legs (just slightly elongated….) sliders. And undead hands with long black fingernails would be the finishing touches on my signature toon….
-
Like many names for toons a lot of this is impossible to get once gone people create a SG or toon with a name. And log out. Forever.

Ping. Ping. Ping it is out there. Lurking. Start a search pattern in sector two Ping. Ping. Ping.

Is development here slowing to a stop? Maintenance mode?

So they are finally fixing Rage on Super Strength??? -
*looks around carefully. "Nothing." *Hits stealth and runs!

Honestly I kind of grew out of this. I use a Beam Rifle /Temporal on aReally Hard Way Magisterium runs. I am sliding into a Dark/Dark Corruptor. Not as much damage but a lot of utility. I do have to play more PBAoE on the Corruptor…..which might lead me back to the blaster since that is what i did not like about the Dark/Dark there.
-
I am running this a little. It is not bad.... A thought occurred to me. I believe part of the issue with Titan weapons (perception wise) is the....sound effects. It is the exact opposite sound of meaty hits like Super Strength. It is a "swishy and missy" sounding. Fun weekend project though.
-
I realize now this is sort of a trick question. How many people remember what the Devs thought would be the Tank Redside? Not Brutes. But then teams got tired of waiting and Brutes were charging in to get Fury. Masterminds! While never being the official Redside Tank in anything but a Devs dream the AT is quite sturdy in non incarnate content.
-
ahem. yes. but a great deal is made about this and it (very) rarely affects gameplay. I have had it become bothersome in Shadow Shard TFs. and that is literally all I can think of. There are certain AVs you need to take extra precautions against (inspirations) and that is all. you give away quite a bit on high end builds getting a little more survivability vs psi and a lot less survivability against everything else running willpower instead of invulnerability. in my opinion. wish it was not so, i love willpower. but math does not lie.

Here is what i came up with. A few caveats. I have no idea what Titan Weapons are. I took a tanky Hyperstrike Titan/Invul post from the boards and did three root canals on it and then put in a grill with diamonds. No idea what it will work like. My concept is to use Titan weapons as much as possible and pump rech/acc. I wanted all powers based on (very little) research. I assume it will be Tanky and slow but do great at regular content. I am pretty sure (like all melee) it will be less useful at 50, 50+, and incarnate work. Probably more useless than a great variety of other options in that realm. Should still be pretty tough unless hit with Psi/Toxic non stop. The Hami-Os in Dull pain are placeholders for two level 50 Hami Rech/Heal from Dr Aeon's SF. I still have not upgraded MiDs. On a modern build (use Hyperstrike’s templates) Invulnerability can do everything Willpower does and then more. Good luck with whatever you choose
-
Hey folks. If anyone has a Tian / Invul Brute build laying around? Preferably with NO redraw (powers that cause that) so probably more tanky and no attacks from epics I am guessing? Thanks
-
What is the attack set? Seriously any hints would help. Although we can kill a few days trying to guess shat you are running…. In general yes there are a few things you do different on Brutes. In reality it is not much. Spinning rims instead of four tone paint job But knowing more about exactly what you are doing will help answer the question man goes into the doctors office. “Doc I hurt. Can you help?” ”Where do you hurt?” The doctor asks ”First it was at my house.’ The man replies. ‘But it got a little worse on the drive over”
