  1. Sometimes you just want to run an energy blaster and have glorious knockback. No matter what the team or league thinks. As i was told recently in a nemesis invasion by someone incan w/ KB as often as they could “it is part of the game”. so make those KB characters. Go big! Be wild! Be free!
  2. i actually have a few themes i run, vampires, demons, and brains on top of robots. this ended up as a brain
  3. I suspect it is both more simple and more complicated. Objects in CoH are odd things. Especially irregular objects like “cave wall”. They are probably “parts” linked together. At the juncture and seams there is a small perfect possibility to slip through. Then be “behind” the thing and not easily targetable. I have solved this at least once by “flying” on the ground with an attack queued up and hitting the mob. This gives a different angle than standing on the ground. That works 1% time. Most AoE can get them, because it affects without regard to “cover” in its area.

  5. I have fly on 99% time. The build also has +65% range. This gives Freeze Ray and Chilblain 99ft range, and Bitter Freeze Ray and Soul Storm 132 ft range. It is a very relaxed playstyle lol.
  6. In. Souul Mastery Soul Storm I have Lockdown, chance for +2 hold proc. I also have Devastation, chance of hold (mag 2) in Ice Manipulation Chilblain. When I switch into the 3 holds and immob attack chain I am finding even a lot of AVs get held.

  8. I dusted off an ice Blaster, respecced it and started doing a few things. I was surprised to find he has regularly put solid holds on multiple AVs in SBB and Market Crash. (Running Ice/Ice/Soul). So 3 ST holds with i think 2 hold procs in the build as well. ( i was shocked!) I ask because you mentioned confuse. Is it possible to stack mags and just hold the titan? Maybe with a dom and a blaster built like mine?
  9. What is the current strategy for Eden trials, regular and master? I have looked through posts on changes to Titan, modified effectiveness of Ambrosia, and complaints and suggestions. It has left me a bit confused
  10. Another big push today. Got the underbase "cavern" completed. Of course I still need to decorate it. Which will take forever lol. But constructing it was not a walk in the park
  11. some archetypes and powers sets are more suited to team synergy. no judgement. just realize.
  12. this makes sense and helps a lot. so, underneath i can fly a long way horizontal, but not do anything. i honestly havent checked if we can fly out above "ground" level. It may seem like i sm trying weird stuff, but i like to explore what can / cannot be done. with mpre work than I will put into it you could create "pockets" that are accessible by arranging island rocks. but can only go there and not place anything there. as i now understand it. about a 1/3 done creating the giant cave pit beneathe the base. then slap in some kitsch and call it "Free Oranbega"

  14. Oh, arcs vary WILDLY even within sets. thin little arcs like sharp pencils to fat arcs like whale tails. Then add in the varying lengths.... I run a lot of "cone projectors" I think my max was 6-7. I either sort by range or effect type. That way my first pass down the chain is most efficient. The degree, while important is not a huge deal. THE most important thing is picking your "anchor" You are bowling. You throw the ball, hit the main pin, and chaos happens beyond. Preferable targets are EB Bosses that you then use to line up your nonstop conga line of cones on all their friends. You may not be doing a ton of damage, but a build with a lot of cones and/or recharge can fire these non stop. At a certain point the enemy gets the message.

  16. So, I have made an ugly Rogue Isles Arachnos themed base. Or am constructing it. Bulk base construction done. Ugly, big, villain tech. yeah. The crowd goes wild. (19 stories up...) but wait, there is more. Slap in a TP point and go under. I paneled the wall (just one 'side' so far. three walls a roof and a floor to go. all the way down with base editing panels. Then put huge island rocks. One "wall" done. Plan is for a giant underground cave, hollowed out. Very similar to final map in Ice Mistral Crystal of Serafina, except Island rock. Now there is a definite vertical "floor" You can build below this and even slightly go below this. But if you put a TP point 10 ft too low you are stuck. But Horizontally? Not that I flew forever, but there seems to be a HUGE amount of leeway horizontally under the base. Anybody know the details, the pitfalls, and the tricks for getting a giant base bottom? ps. final plan is a giant mostly open cave room. Will have CoT Arcane style leges and decorations. My own little orange bagel. And my vampires hidden apt/cave with workshop/tele Mayhem-19149
  17. If you want a nukeless Blaster you should seriously look at Dominators in my opinion. At least that way you get something back for what you give up.
  18. I love the improvement of the game over the years. I cannot think of anything i would reverse. Well, some people call nerfing Brutes three times and giving them the worst ATO proc in the game QOL improvements. I would reverse those decisions… The best improvement is easier rapid travel. Which helps teams immensely
