  1. I consider hard content 2 to 4 star stuff. That comes with new gimmicks. But with a good team, a LOT of incarnate buffs, and patience it can be done ina straightforward fashion. I almost always want discord for this. 1) i am constantly chattering 2) coordinate barriers and timing of important tactics
  2. My Fire Fire Fire Blaster built for DPS no damage mitigation is surprisingly alive through most hard content. When things are dead or running for their lives with a sliver of health you do not get attacked very much. This works in 4/8 and with (league buffs) incarnate content. But…. You have to play aggressively, and know the odds. Do i need to chomp a medium purple? A large purple? Can i stealth/nuke…nuke…rain…rain…cleanup with just a can do attitude? Actually, usually. And Rise of the Phoenix gets used less than you would believe. Again, no defense no resist. Built for +damage. Because Fire Fire Fire just needed a little more damage.
  3. and there are always more attacks in bound. always.
  4. the question? well.... Legendary 45% softcap... True/False/Sometimes/BS?
  5. i think there needs to be like 42 misses before streakbreaker kicks in. that is the answer.
  6. This was the way back when i ran SS brutes. Power choices were limited. You were trying to get stamina lol. The only downside is forgetting in the rare flying fight and using air superiority. Then see your enemy plummet to the ground… but not be dead.
  7. yes. Scarlet Shocker is using one that is unliked. Not sure if mine is similar, or my tolerance for garbage is higher. Mine is 5? years old now. I wish it had one or two more thumb twitch buttons. I have the 20 keys set up to match two power trays, so I can operate most regular powers with a touch. and movement, jump, and target nearest with thumb. If i had one or two more thumb buttons I could do target next, and... well, something always fills a empty button. I use a razer mouse but honestly do the heavy gaming on the Tartarus. using the mouse for viewing, controlling map, buttons not on the two important trays, doors, etc. Maybe I will look into coding more into that.
  8. my setup, using the razer tartarus
  9. I still hesitate to sign off on a duration reduction. I use this power daily, a LOT. I pull to it. To change it would benefit ROFLSTOMP steamroller teams, but would further relegate a /Dark Corruptor to Heal/Tar Patch duty. Yawn. I prefer solo play a lot and changing it as you suggest would be annoying at best and possibly counterproductive.
  10. And being able to feed upon civilians, watching their blood drained corpses slump to the ground. A statement about the inevitable closeness of death. And littering.
  11. when soloing on a Dark (like my current Dark Dark Corr doing every contact) it is important to play the long game. debuffs first, Fear, dropping a debuff toggle on a boss, tar patch, then you set up to start your attacks. it can be a long fight. 45 secs can come and go fast in those circumstances
  12. I am the OG malfunctioning chat machine. You cannot take that from me. No one can ever take that from me! I am inevitably!!!
  13. Snarky is an ambiguous Nihilist in your grid. He was turned into a vampire, and won the lottery for a ton of vamp power through a deep connection to the Dark. which he does not know why he has. He does not care about anything, other than his own comfort. although, ... he has a few vampire tropes to deal with. need for blood, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and a few other things he does not want to elaborate on. now he bumbles through the world, doing what he wants/what he can get away with and giving a nod to staying away from everyone's attention when it is easy to do so.
  14. civilians push granite tanks with rooted out of the way like they are toddlers. They are very powerful
  15. to not go mad... okay, more crazy... most days of gaming i track my missions. every 5 i get up, clean a little, do something productive etc. for this purpose i count everything as a mission. if they say "go talk to bob" even if bob is 20 feet away? mission. kill all? sigh, 1 mission.
  16. I remember my first experiences in City of Villains. I played a Brute, of course. Super Strength Invulnerability. I busted out if the Zig. Even at low level I was feeling it. Then, my first Longbow mission. Damn. And when there are solid numbers of them? Lulz. Now, of course, I got my moves. I run a Dark Dark Corruptor mostly. But I never underestimate Longbow. I either avoid them (i stealth as much as possible) or I let them have it with everything. I always open with a Fear cone against hard groups. Tar patch and Blackstar if the grouping is right. More debuffs if the group is closing. Picking targets and whittling off DPS as fast as possible
  17. Well, i am OCD, but i am not counting that. You win lol. seriously though, there are in the neighborhood of 300 contacts. Roughly. Discounting endless contacts we can say they average 10 missions per contact. That is probably a bit off, but makes the math easier. So, 3000. I revised that number up because it “felt” low and that is my 5K solution. Do you really feel the weighting of the last 1/3? Of the contacts launches it that much higher? Or do you find my whole guesstimate logic chain unlinked?
