  2. This leaves me unsure. Not if your meaning, i understand Snark… My question is about the effectiveness of the change. Before the power is a hard pass for most of us. It slows play and is rarely useful. This sounds like they modified it to a ghetto fold space. But how often/which types of mobs get phased instead of “trawled?” Guess they really were trying to avoid sucked…. I honestly do not have a lot of time in my schedule. I am gaming CoH quite a lot on my “every contact, every mission” project and 2xweek with Justice Superteamers. Jumping on to test for hours of testing is not on my availability. Then there is the matter of… what difference would it make. No one is going to change things based on my input.
  3. It varies with each pet. I have “fluffy” from dark miasma. I follow conventional advice and enhance it’s to hit debuff and accuracy. From memory i think i 4piece cloud senses in it. I just stand him up and forget him. He is a decently smart pet, rare, who stands at the edge of combat and screws with enemies.
  4. i almost always pull as much as i can. and these days i am normally on Corruptors and Blasters. leveraging anything you can to survive another minute and do more DPS, which requires more meat for the machine. yes, i realize this makes my OP statement to stop playing Brutes much less serious. But it is me, i need my hyperbole Damit!

  8. so wrong. they almost named the zone Snarkylvania. It was to be a glorious eternal night filled with the greatest monsters, 5 GMs! and dozens of ongoing badge activities. but they got rid of the two ghouls i had working on the inside. and we got nuthin'.
  9. on red it is slightly smaller, on blue significantly smaller. but the main 25-29 had 20-25 missions, the main 30-34 have 30...
  10. A good goal (like a 5k instead of a marathon) is doing every story arc with badges attached. before you react, one way or the other, this is still A LOT. All Gold has badges attached, (at least 1-20) avail thru Ouro. Then there are just a huge amount of badge arcs. It would be a respectable undertaking. and, if a badger, ultimately something you would do anyways.
  11. i do not farm. but it has been so harsh to see so much given to Tanks in these years. Especially after Brutes took years of giant nerfs and backhanded changes.
  12. in the 15 hours that passed between my post and you quoting me, they removed an indecipherable thing that may have been a sentence and added "removed passive global arc/radius buff" unless, of course, you knew that and were trying to be irritating. in that case, well played sir.
  13. on blueside certain contacts give missions across multiple ranges. I am getting every story arc, but I know I just missed 3 marvin weintraub random missions that are 25-28. just irritating really. i knew a run like this could never be "perfect" but it is damned annoying. not letting that stop me. i levelled to 34. if the damn blue contacts want to be that freaky i will miss a couple missions there too.

Just finished all content through level 29. 1,039 Badges. 49,512 enemies defeated. 1,051 missions done. this is a reduction from my previous post, so i either had a typo, or something else weird happened... Reward Merits = 2,492 The next section is all 30-34 content and all (including any First & Night Wards that cannot be completed at 40) I did miss a couple missions on a Blue contact that offered odd side missions at 26 and 28. Blue is weird. I am sad about that. But I am sad about many things. I trudge on up the mountain of ridiculousness!
  15. they edited their patch notes from something incomprehensible to "we removed previous aoe buffs" which is appreciated. thankfully no one had a meltdown over it...
  16. I have to leave this thread now. Or it will become like another thread i hated. So, i will read, react, but not post. I encourage everyone to read the actual Dev post. No where did i see them say they are removing the previous Tank AoE buffs. They did state they are increasing two types of Tank AoE. The Devs said that. Not Snarky. More AoE is good, it is a benefit. Sigh. Out. GL

  20. Yes. As in not stating anything like what you just said. I will not apologize for being an angry raving lunatic. Cause, I just got to be me. Yet…. In this case I am going off what was put in the patch notes. AND based on THIS Dev team’s previous work(s) to put Tanks as the only melee class needed…. When someone tells you they are buffing something (and that is very clear in the patch notes) then believe them. They said nothing about “walking back” any previous buffs. So…. People in this thread are saying that. That and a 25 mill donation to @Snarky will get you a thank you email. With all the gratitude i can muster depending on the vagaries of my mood.
  21. i did not see where it said the previous buff to AoE is removed. i posted the full explanation above. granted, i have no idea what "Removed arc/radius buff restrictions from powers." means. but "removing a restriction" to me does not equate to "rolling back AoE buff we already gave Tanks..."

  23. Yes. Yes I can. First, (AND SINCE YOU STILL HAVE NOT ACKNOWLEDGED IT), Tankers are getting EXTRA AoE on all AoE attacks. Second, (and I am not going to run 10,000 AE runs to prove this, so put on that thinking cap...) The number of times a Tanker will exceed the increased target cap of 10+ and 5+ respectively (even with the new increase in AoE) is rare. In effect, it is a big smoke and light show about reducing something that is almost never used... edit, and the increased AoE loads the dice so they more often get to the 10 or 5. so, more damage
  24. you see this as a nerf? ... Increased the radius and range of all tanker Primary and Secondary Cones by 50% Cones no longer have their arc boosted Increased the radius of all tanker Primary and Secondary Sphere AoEs by 50% The increase wont push radius above 15ft
