  1. A simple fix to the Synapse would be having all the kill alls on a small map. The difference in the time between getting all small maps and all large maps is EXTREME and it is pure RNG
  2. I took a lot of these suggestions to heart. My current live build has 4 Pacing of the turtles. The new build I am respeccing into has one. The major changes were adding Artillery in Sleet, Preemptive Optimization in Heat Loss, Superior Winters Bite in Freeze Ray, getting the 2 Rech I/Os into Benumb and turning Infrigidate into a 3 slot proc power. Thank you all for the suggestions. The build looks tighter definitely. Really appreciate the suggestions on what to enhance for and why. Really helped. 3. Call me selfish. You would be right. But I can get rid of combat jumping and add Temp Invul and get those two +3% and room on my build plus more survivability. Do not even know why I was not doing this. Thank you. crap. those enhancers are in artic fog lol I can swap out Artillery for pacing of the Turtle in Sleet. Better bonuses for my build!
  4. Is this like George Carlin boiling down the Ten Commandments into 1 instruction?
  5. I still remember a slow team melt on old Posi back on live. We lost half after first hour. another a half hour later. Last mission the other two quit. Me alone. On a F-ing Nrg Nrg Blaster. Not tricked out. I tried. I could not get the final EB, even pulling sniping using elevator. Too many mobs and so much wasted effort lol. Doing this thing solo on a Blaster may be a White Whale I finally get on Homecoming! Hmmmm...I will wait a while though. sheesh.
  6. Team. All the time. I felt just softcap Range Def and not going for AoE Def was neglecting Def lol. But I come from Brutes... Infrigidate...Yeah, If i had another way to softcap range I would. Literally ran out of powers to enhance. (that took +range Def) Shields. I hate solo buffing. Not dislike. Hate. From my cold little Hatey Heart. Benumb. I was able to move about 4 slots in the live version of this. Benumb got two additional slots for 50+5 Recharges. Heat Loss and Sleet....again,. PotT is meh, but it gives ACC and Range Def. I will look at cramming other sets on. I will. I know this is a crap shortcut to a good but maybe not great goal. Artic Fog...Winters Gift huh....nice. 1 slot huh...crap Frostwork. Other Allies can have max health huh? I will look into ...nah, just kidding. I don't want to stand around solo buffing. I corrupt, not band aid. Since this is a team build I do have on all three leadership toggles. I am nearly ready to slot Hybrid. Will be going with support radial embodiment. May switch later. My theory is keeping benumb and other debuffs up and then boosting my team is more effective than more personal individual damage I will buff. Passively. I draw the line at standing around patching people. Thanks for the feedback. I will look at getting rid of the Pacing of the Turtle sets... But man it is hard for me to give up ranged softcap lol.
  7. I ran SS for a very. very. very long time. Even dropped back into a SS/Invul for my first main on Homecoming. Yeah, Everything you said was true. I do love the animations. Knockout Blow is a hoot. I suggest adding a SS similar set, much like Willpower to Invulnerability. Smooth it out. Make it good enough that people see it as a viable option. Leave SS alone. Just modernize a new version of it. No gimmicks, no combos, heck, maybe no build up! How about that for an oddity? just solid across the board damage with steady usefulness.
  8. The original Positron TF. That is so awful. Long and repetitive and so many team disintegrations after an hour with another hour to go. They should change it.
  9. yeah, i am reading the various forums on each AT and that seems to be the consensus.
  10. Which of these three are stronger for late game content? and, of course, why? Thanks Team content.
  11. My first page is 10 50s who are fully i/o'd and incarnated. I have roughly 50 various level alts abandoned on other pages. I have a back page of 50s stripped of all enhancers. so, less than 100 and only about 10-12 'playable' at any one time. Though honestly I am usually just on my main and whatever alt project I am toying with in any given week.
  12. I completely agree. And also completely disagree! You are correct, on a 'good' team running 50+4 content is trivial. Many teams split into 2-3 pods to clear faster. or entire Leagues just become an amorphous energy ball eating AVs. Like, wtf? However....not all teams are good. I never lead teams, and I only PUG. I jumped into a 50+4 ITF a week ago. On my main, seriously, this is the guy I do everything on. Dark/Dark Brute with all the money thrown at it and T4 across all 5 incarnate powers. It was...horrid. There were only 3 50s to start. Okay, I have been farmed a lot. i will pay my dues. Lets do this. Then one mission in one of the 50s leaves. The leader leaves it at 50+4 and it is thick. If people are trying to adhere to a cohesive strategy they have little luck, these 50+4s are regularly flooring the bulk of the team. I wont go into all the details but I ended up soloing the Nictus (killed them all too) around ROM at the end but everyone quit and I left. I revamped my build after that and added Rune of Protection. If there was any slack before it is gone now lol. So crowd control, agro, buffs, debuffs do matter. In fact my newest toon is an Ice/Cold Corruptor who (I just found this out) is a premier AV debuffer. I have been looking for a great ranged squishy for years. THis guy is pure range and massively useful to any team. I am so happy. Even in the BAF he adds significantly by helping to even out the AVs by debuffing the one with more health. My Tank has to go solo the add spawns so he doesnt get locked and take 7-8 Leaguemates with him in a timeout.
  13. Now I sort of want to 50 one of those just to say I have something Tanks and Scrappers cannot get.... I used to love SS....but after running it literally for years...sigh. And a Defense set? Damned. I am so spoiled with Dark and Invulnerability. Just...shields.... I would be screaming "Scotty I need those shields up!" Are the resists in Energy good?
  14. One of my main goals on Invulnerability Brutes (and really any high end modern toon) is Accuracy and Recharge. A second is softcapping at least S/L Def. If it is easy then softcap Energy Def. Remember, Def > Res > Heal. That adage is not as true on my Dark/Dark Brute that mezzes squishies and hides (Invis>Mez>Def>Res>Heal...and his Heal is insanely good so Heal>Res???) That Def greater than Resist greater than Heal is absolutely iron clad true on a Invulnerability build. So, if you are planning on running a lot of high end stuff Energy Def > Energy Resistance. And as you pointed out, EVERYTHING greater than Psi Resistance. Because it is not encountered as much. on the Mentally Damaged Incarnate Trials let a Dark Brute or Tank take the lead. Go into Scrapper mode/tactics. It is definitely not worth gimping a build perfect for 98% game to be ready for 2% game. Having said that if you look at Hyperstrikes build templated he has a very simple (if expensive) way to pump up Energy Resistance. And, oh yeah, it is good. Once 50 and Incarnated you can used Incarnate powers to help with your armore. Agility Alpha gives a boost to Defense numbers. Hybrid brings all your Resists up and can really help against that Energy if you are sitting at 50%. If you almost got it 75-80% it can bring it home. Then there is Rune of Protection. Another idea I stole from a Hyperstrike build I saw. My Dark/Dark rotates Hybrid / Rune of Protection (high recharge build) and is nearly as armored as a Dark Tank (across the board resist caps) as long as I remember to keep hitting the buttons. Since Invulnerability has insanely good Resists that you pump with a build Rune of Protection can bring those numbers the final leg.
  15. i have never liked autofire. neither.
  16. I guess I shouldnt even bring up the ranged (short, but still ranged) Brutes "Tank-Mage" I used at 50 for a month based around Kinetic Melee - Invulnerability?
  17. I am starting to cram Rune of Protection on my Brute builds. (which are 90% heavy armor builds to begin with) and this is giving a significant and noticeable survival improvement. At the cost (or benefit!) of tightening up the builds. At a certain point the Tanker just does not survive ANY better than the Brute. Because being up is being up. My Dark/Dark Brute just got smacked down in MoUG Trial striking out ahead. ...Then Soul Transfer just wrecked the mobs standing around me and I slapped my 15 toggles back on (may be exaggerating, not by much...) and went about my day. He so very rarely drops I was a little shocked. The Tanker does do better on Taunting. That is not in doubt. They are a custom designed Melee Controller with one trick that works like...magic. Ever had your toon taunted? Yeah, Tanks do that to everything. Mobs got no choice. My Tanks take Taunt, and spam it. My Brutes do not have Taunt. Scrappers (in general) do more Damage than Brutes. I do not like the random nature of crits. I prefer steamrolling into a group and letting Fury clean house. The sets I choose to run on Brutes favor that style. I love Dark, which I think is better on a Brute. Due to trying to saturate Soul Drain. In the above example A Dark/Dark Scrapper would have been struggling even harder than my Dark/Dark Brute in the MoUG, for how much more damage? It does come down to taste, and sometimes powersets. Certain power sets I am sure work much better on a Tank (AoE) or a Scrapper (Crit friendly) but in general I just like the general sturdy hard hitting Brute. Why are we still talking about the same points 12 pages in? lol. o, right, Brutes....

  21. I spent so many game hours placing bids on odd level SOs back on live pre 25. Just anything to walk me in, anything. Especially pre inherent fitness it was POWERGAMING to have SOs slotted after 15!
  22. very Deep question. Take Blasters. Billed as "Ranged"....still angry over this. They are built from the ground up as blappers. Then you have sets with a ton of cones and some PBAoE, they jump back and forth to correct range 'jousting' and then there are the AR and Beam Blasters. Actually ranged. That is one AT. The examples are endless. And i am sure I missed the finer possibilities just in Blasters.
  23. Snarky

    Help wanted

Since its a Farmer I take as much Damage as possible. Musculature Alpha, Pyronic Judgement (of course!) Reactive Interface, Clarion for Destiny (Fire Armor can use the Status prot imo) Lore Storm Elementals because I dont like pets, so i just get angry clouds, and Assault Hybrid.. That means even in teams this beast is running squishier than most Scrappers. Needing big mobs for End Recovery PBAoEs and burning down anything that gets close to it real fast. ....errrr, as long as it stays up lol. Then again, the rez is another nuke!
  24. gonna slap on a gravitic and just push my wall of -rech -movement even further. It may only work on trash mobs, but since my big AoE is DoT I might as well glue everybody more or less in place
  25. I am rounding out my powersets (and Incarnate Theme!) for my Ice/Cold Corruptor. Going with Intuition Radial Paragon for Alpha. I did T3 (Total Radial Revamp) last night but I am a long weekend from T3s and T4s on the rest of the build lol. Cryonic Radial Final Judgement, of course. Polar Lights Core Superior Ally, Clarion Radial Epiphany for Destiny, I am guessing and asking about the next two. (specifically in regards to debuffing) I am thinking Support Radial Embodiment for Hybrid. The descriptions leave a lot to be desired. I cannot tell from the detailed info what the 'special' is. One reason I am lookling at this is the 80 foot radius. This will be one of my farthest range toons. All powers are ranged and I have some minor but not insignificant global range boosts. Interface I am a little torn on. Diamagnetic Radial Flawless gives a 50% to hit debuff proc and a 100% regen debuff proc, but unsure if it is powerful. (as the above -regen specifically mentioned from AT powersets) Gravitic fits the theme and adds more of the same, never a bad idea. Paralytic adds a defense debuff, which again adds more of the same, although not useful against AVs I see. Then there is Reactive with a dam res debuff. which I know people like for this work. But it adds a Fire proc. I am a sucker for theme. Fire on my Ice? hmmmmm.... gotta be something else lol.
