Send me an example with before and after logs. DM or forum message. Sounds very doable and not that hard. Famous last words. 🙂 -
Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3

Any interesting insights? -
End drain works fine above 40. What combo were you trying? What Interface are you using? What Muscular? For example, I have no troubles drain enemies and keeping them drained with my elec/ice stalker. Using Muscular radial and Preemptive Interface. As for knockdown it works really well until it doesn't. Like most of the ITF.

Team Support / Control / Melee Blood Widow build
KaizenSoze replied to Imaginary's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
There has been a long standing issue with Widow, Night or Fort, endurance. I have been complaining about for years. After a lot of research, help with folks like Glacier Peak, and a lot of whining the problem is simple. The toggles aren't the issue, VEATs get some of the cheapest toggles in the game. It's the claw attacks, Widows can attack so fast, that they will absolutely burn through their endurance. Proc'ing attacks just makes it worse, because you often lose the endurance reduction due to only slotting accuracy, damage, procs. Ironically, full sets can cause their own set of issues, as claw attack recharge is maxed and so you can have the same issue with and without procs. It's just better with full sets. Night Widows pre page 5 without Cardiac were really crippled by this fact. Now, they can kill their targets a lot faster. Reducing the total number of attacks. Fort don't suffer as much because they use more slower ranged attacks and have a nuke. You should consider have a second exemplaring build that doesn't proc as much. Focus on endurance reduction in the claw attacks. -
Team Support / Control / Melee Blood Widow build
KaizenSoze replied to Imaginary's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
I feel to ignore my suggestions as I tend to build differently than a lot of folks. You'll want to take Psychic Wail as soon as possible and max it's damage. It will do the majority of damage, like 50% of your total damage. You should proc domination out and take it earlier, unless this build is only running at 50. It's such a quick recharging power, than the lower proc chances don't matter. Psychic Scream on Fortunata is bad. Swap it for something else. Night Widows get the good version. Scrambled Thoughts actually does decent damage, but I slot it for stun duration because it's mag 4. Good for taking out problematic bosses. Even with Cardiac you have to be hurting for endurance. You're build is very end hungry, especially with the heavy procing. In general. It has been my experience with builds that try and do both melee, ranged, and support/control is that there isn't enough time to utilize the roles. You can be ranged and support/control. Or melee and ranged, but not all three. For my hard content builds, I go support/control/ranged. Fortunatas are very squishy compared to Night Widows. Since, you do lots of psi damage, that's general good enough against AVs w/o melee. In general content I go with melee/ranged. Also, ranged/control/support builds are more relaxing to play, than melee builds, when you want a change of pace. -
Huntsman Build (Softcapped Positional DEF)
KaizenSoze replied to The Trouble's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
Looks good. Only comment is that I get good value out 6 slotting both WAWG and Web envelope. But my version is focused on toggles, debuffs, and lite control. -
The zombie invasion I think is the only zone event that doesn't have a GM or special mechanic. Suggestion would to be to add zombie versions of AVs or Heros randomly if the league is large enough. Including zombie Anti-Matter, that would count towards the Portal Jockey badge. The devs would just have zombify the existing models. Not create new ones.

The main point is that it is obvious when your player activated attacks miss. Damage auras fly under the radar and might be missing a lot.
-
That's if it's hitting. Irradiated ground has the same accuracy as Icicles. The ITF is a special case where the mobs can actually have enough defense to impact players damage.
-
I do know this, but I don't think people realize how much defense gets stacked when packs of them are together. All Romans, except surgeons, default to 15% s/l/c/f/en/neg defense. Then stacking Phalanx Fighting +3% defense aura and it gets ugly in packed spawns. I suspect people are missing a lot more than they realize, which means less damage.
-
I have written a tool to analyze the logs and provide amount other things hit/miss ratios for damage auras like Icicles. While running an kill most 4x8 ITF. I noticed a lot of missed messages in the client and dug around to find out which power was missing. Turned out it was Icicles. I am a wee bit obsessed about accuracy, so I do things like run Tactics and Focused Accuracy. Icicles in-game has an accuracy of 1.8x. MIDS shows 138.5% accuracy against +3 mobs. The tool showed an actual accuracy of 86% based on the logs. This means I lost quite a bit of damage due to missing. That stacked Roman defense, when the team isn't running a lot of Tactics or other accuracy buffs is noticeable. I suspect that a lot of players are missing a lot with their damage auras on ITF. TLDR: Make sure you have high accuracy in your damage auras on ITF. Or you will miss a lot. Tool in question:

MIDs character builder makes this more obvious, but as Rudra said selecting any Night Widow power will lock you out of the Fortunata tree. Ah, to have Build Up + Follow Up + Slash + Placate on my Night Widow, but it will never happen.

I have a fix, more like bad data you go into the trash can. It does print out the offending line number. If you see lot of those errors let me know. Look like chat messages and message of day text can contain non-UTF text. -

Yes, you can filter those out. If you could send me a log via forum message. I can try and handle that type of message properly. -

Sad to hear. I would run into them from time to time on teams. Really nice person. -
Placate and Taunt are the odd balls of controls. Technically they are controls, but they are not covered by any ATs mez control. There are very few powers that give resists to those two effects. Pretty much only Assault toggles provide resistance. There might be a buff or two, but I don't remember which ones. Them being left out is actually consistent with how they are treated in general. You can always double up on Assault as a VEAT each power is 60% resistance.

Here is a ranged support build I use for hard modes. To give you ideas. Ranged Fort - Arachnos Fortunata.mbd

Has anything interesting popped out since you started look? -
Those are differences without distinction in terms of game play. I have tried many slotting variants of Web Cocoon and it's just not good enough for a capstone power. And at least the Epic version does damage. How many builds have tried using Web Cocoon? I have about a dozen beta builds. This just a repeat of the Wide Area Web Grenade vs Web Envelope issue that was fixed in page 7 by greatly increasing the radius and target cap. Page 7 note: Wide Area Web Grenade: cooldown decreased from 30s to 20s. End cost increased from 7.28 to 15.6. Radius increased from 10 ft to 25 ft. Target cap increased from 10 to 16.
-
Many AT gets Web Cocoon has an option in their Mace Epic. Defenders, Corruptors, Blasters, Stalkers, and Sentinels. Bane's get their version as their secondary capstone power. One problem, the Epic version is better than the Bane version. Sentinel, all the other AT Epic pool versions are pretty close in stats. The only notable advantage the Bane version has a faster recharge 16 vs 24. The disadvantage is the Bane version does *no* damage and has pretty much the same hold length. The rest have a toxic dot. Sentinel version: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=epic.sentinel_mace_mastery.web_cocoon&at=sentinel Not asking for any changes to the Epic versions, just want the Bane version to be worth being called a capstone power. I would suggest adding damage or increasing the hold time quite a bit. The current hold is less than 2 seconds longer than the Epic versions.

And to follow it up. I formed a PI radio group and that was great fun too. PUG life, is fun life!

Think of the character the "Mountain" on Game of Thrones. Some humans are incredible tall and massive. Also, it's a video game. 😉
