Bumping my own thread, because I think it's better to keep all the suggestions in one thread. I am bringing up this one, because it even might be performance issue. Storm blast has a feature to some powers that inflict a "wet" status on mobs, which at the moment does nothing. It's a really chatty message. 2025-01-07 20:05:33 Your Cloudburst has left Vortex Cor Leonis Force wet. I have Trick Arrow/Storm defender, due to Storm Cell, Category Five, and Oil Slick it generates large logs quickly. In one hour it generated ~155K log lines. The kicker is that ~61K of those lines were "wet" messages. That is ~41% of logs messages. I wonder what impact that is having on server/client and network performance.

Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Great to hear from you. I am glad you enjoying the tool. Again, thanks for the leg up by giving me your code. Fixed, I had Unique and Unique2, but I hadn't not run into Unique1. The joys of determining session start and end points. I will happily take any logs that break stuff. Error recovery definitely needs work. I am surprised more folks have not commented on my backend developer UI skills. To be clear. No offence taken. I'll take a look at that CSS tag. Yes, shocked and controller containment count as "crits". My thinking is that anything that does extra damage is a "crit". You can thank @Koopak for suggesting doing things in internvals. I general have been pleasantly suprised how close the two tool numbers have been. If there is a feature you want, please let me know. I can crack the nut for you and show you the code. I have thoughts on how to do a proc report that will be mostly correct. Basically, look back to the last power activiation and attach the proc data to that. But that will not work in all cases. So it will be a separate report. I'll have average power recharge time in the next release. The overlay feature is taking up all my time right now. Also, I am trying to understand non-regex parsers to speed up log parsing. -
I completely understand why Trick Arrow/Energy is a bad combo. The primary lives on damage/debuff patches, the secondary lives on knocking them out of said patches. Alas, as usual Widows are the rarest AT in the game, several years running I believe. I tried to promote them, but it doesn't appear to work.

Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
A preview of what I have been working. An overlay feature for Cyclops. The UI is very rough right now, but the back end is working. -
My Banes do not use patron powers. I don't have the power selection or slots for it. My Huntsbanes do use Mace Mastery: Web Envelope. Combined with the awesome Wide Area Web Grenade I can pinned spawns as well as any controller and then pummel them with AOEs.

I want to chill and solo sometimes
KaizenSoze replied to HachiMan2015's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
All can solo just fine at 50+, depending on difficultly. If you are soloing from level one. Widows are tough to solo unless you can provide them with a lot of help, influence, SG buffs, etc. Soldiers are better for soloing from level one, because they can stick to range. One you get them built out. Fortunatas in extremely good at soloing. Night Widows are too, but just to lesser degree. Soldiers can solo too, slightly worst than Forts and Night Widows. The lack of DDR against high level mobs is noticeable. See Circle of Thorns and Arachnos. Also, crabs have to pull from the concealment pool to start decent stealth. -
Katie actually rewards 26 merits, not 9, the text is wrong. TF completion text. [12:29] You gain 48,478 experience and 48,478 influence. [12:29] You gain 89,600 experience and 44,800 influence. [12:29] You saved Katie's soul from the Red Caps! [12:29] You received 26 reward merits. [12:29] You received 26 bonus reward merits. [12:29] You received Prismatic Aether. [12:29] You received Notice of the Well.

Page 7 Builds - Fort, Night Widow, and Bane
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
Fair point about the KB. I tend to forget about Karma for some reason. If you are looking for a Huntsbane builds. Try this one, it's ranged and heavy on support. It's a safer and more relaxing playstyle. -
You can choose gun or mace for Web/Frag grenade for either the 1st or any other costume slot.
-
We all want that, the problem is the code. The devs have said many times the VEAT costume code is a total mess.
-
If we are just talking about general content. Fate Sealed vs Assault is fine either way. Take your preference. Don't overlook Scramble Thoughts, as it is a mag 4 stun. I would go with Assault Core, not radial, for max +damage. Also, since you like to melee, my preferred type of Fort, you will need Ageless. The claw attacks recharge so fast that they will eat your endurance. Doesn't matter if you proc them out or use straight sets. Trying to get regen up on a Widow is useless, the starting HP pool is too low. And the inherit doesn't really provide any noticeable buff. There are tanky Fortunata builds around, but really not needed for general content. Just keep some greens on hand for healing. Food for thought:

@ajchvy Since, the OP is new to the AT. Two things should be noted. The pets are uncontrollable, they will aggro things left and right. Unlike MM pets which you can recall or park in a spot. If you take the Crab-backpack on any build for a character. The crabpack will appear on all builds for that character. Meaning your Bane builds will have the crabpack, but you cannot use any of the crabpack powers. It's an annoyance, but some people hate it.
-
Both summons yes, but you should search for some builds here. I am no expert on Crabberminds. You need a very high recharge build to make it work. Expensive.
-
The Crab can use the gun without constant swapping unlike a Bane. All the new Crab attacks come from the crab pack. Bane get mace versions, but some of the gun attacks are better. Unless you are going full Crabbermind. A Hunts-Bane actually provides a bit better support, even if you go full ranged. It comes down have another -resist power than a crab. Both Crab and Bane can double up on all toggles.

Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Yes, in time I want it to be in the COH installer, but it needs more polish before it can be added to the installer. If you try the newest version and have issues. Let me know. -
Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
So, I tested a few things. Chat is easy, I am already parsing those into their own category. Not sure what a request for roleplay looks like. 🙂 Emotes are a problem. Because it's just, player name emote. Like [timestamp] Kaizen waves. I could capture the player's emotes, because I know their name. Other players emotes are an issue. -
Do you pay attention to what your team is doing?
KaizenSoze replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion
I keep a general eye on the team tab. Mostly watching out for HP drops, so I can go and grab the mob(s) attention. Also, I see and listen to what powers players are using. Adjust my tactics sometimes. -

How much damage did Tornado do? It was the potential to do a lot, but I haven't tested it. -
Cyclops Log Parsing and Game Overlay Tool 1.3
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
The only thing that can get close to nuke damage are damage auras. So, I am not surprised Hot feet is #1. Were you testing against mobs or pylons? I haven't been impressed with Water spout, too small, too much time spent wandering from target to target. -

Send me an example with before and after logs. DM or forum message. Sounds very doable and not that hard. Famous last words. 🙂 -

Any interesting insights? -
End drain works fine above 40. What combo were you trying? What Interface are you using? What Muscular? For example, I have no troubles drain enemies and keeping them drained with my elec/ice stalker. Using Muscular radial and Preemptive Interface. As for knockdown it works really well until it doesn't. Like most of the ITF.

Team Support / Control / Melee Blood Widow build
KaizenSoze replied to Imaginary's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
There has been a long standing issue with Widow, Night or Fort, endurance. I have been complaining about for years. After a lot of research, help with folks like Glacier Peak, and a lot of whining the problem is simple. The toggles aren't the issue, VEATs get some of the cheapest toggles in the game. It's the claw attacks, Widows can attack so fast, that they will absolutely burn through their endurance. Proc'ing attacks just makes it worse, because you often lose the endurance reduction due to only slotting accuracy, damage, procs. Ironically, full sets can cause their own set of issues, as claw attack recharge is maxed and so you can have the same issue with and without procs. It's just better with full sets. Night Widows pre page 5 without Cardiac were really crippled by this fact. Now, they can kill their targets a lot faster. Reducing the total number of attacks. Fort don't suffer as much because they use more slower ranged attacks and have a nuke. You should consider have a second exemplaring build that doesn't proc as much. Focus on endurance reduction in the claw attacks. -
Team Support / Control / Melee Blood Widow build
KaizenSoze replied to Imaginary's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
I feel to ignore my suggestions as I tend to build differently than a lot of folks. You'll want to take Psychic Wail as soon as possible and max it's damage. It will do the majority of damage, like 50% of your total damage. You should proc domination out and take it earlier, unless this build is only running at 50. It's such a quick recharging power, than the lower proc chances don't matter. Psychic Scream on Fortunata is bad. Swap it for something else. Night Widows get the good version. Scrambled Thoughts actually does decent damage, but I slot it for stun duration because it's mag 4. Good for taking out problematic bosses. Even with Cardiac you have to be hurting for endurance. You're build is very end hungry, especially with the heavy procing. In general. It has been my experience with builds that try and do both melee, ranged, and support/control is that there isn't enough time to utilize the roles. You can be ranged and support/control. Or melee and ranged, but not all three. For my hard content builds, I go support/control/ranged. Fortunatas are very squishy compared to Night Widows. Since, you do lots of psi damage, that's general good enough against AVs w/o melee. In general content I go with melee/ranged. Also, ranged/control/support builds are more relaxing to play, than melee builds, when you want a change of pace. -
Huntsman Build (Softcapped Positional DEF)
KaizenSoze replied to The Trouble's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
Looks good. Only comment is that I get good value out 6 slotting both WAWG and Web envelope. But my version is focused on toggles, debuffs, and lite control.
