This concept leant more towards Super-Strength than Fire, ideally being sans (French: without) [Burn]. I have made a gallant (though perhaps misguided) attempt to throw something survivable together in Mids. I would welcome any feedback on said build. The primary aim of the build is survivability. The secondary aim is strong Super-strength / Fighting Pool fisticuffs. Questions: Will the build be able to defeat / contribute to defeat of opponents in a timely manner? Will the build be susceptible to slows / -recharge, despite [Temperature Protection]? i.e. Would you recommend swapping [Kick] for [Hasten]? Seems to make more sense than taking the obviously weakest set in the game that is counterbalanced by the absolute DPS BEAST that is burn (and your immob protection) and stripping off it's key ability. Is this an 'old school' coh tank combo that needs a design pass? *(EM is currently getting a make over on Beta.) I've found it very 'plain jane' so far. It's not Rad/Rad (tried that on a brute. Monster stuff.) Maybe after the AT tank pass...the power sets are next for 'tweaking?' Anyone got any sexy and innovative Fire/SS builds for tank? I have taken Burn. Ofc. It helps boost SS's efficiency, I've found. And the Fire aura chips away at mobs. Obviously weaker in S&L. I've taken Tough to boost Res' and Weave to try and get hit less. That and popping a purp' inspire and I don't get hit as much at the start of a fight. Put the burn down. HPs are a lot healthier. Without doing this? One arm tied behind my back whilst I take a kicking...for 'No good reason?' I do have a L50 Ice/Ice/Ice tank. I'm intrigued to see how this compares. More often than not I find myself skimping in Tough slots to not grossly overcap. SS in general is just shunned because of the Rage drop. I do have a Fire/SS in one of the pages in my signature if you'd like some ideas. - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.

If you want to be godlike, pick anything. If you want to be GOD, pick a TANK!

Kinda is though, but only in more extreme situations so you are correct too. But defense can go into the negatives which means we get hit more. Even blocking 90% of the damage it's still more hits coming in. But this is a more ITF level of extreme when we get to the -40% or -50%. Got humped a bit by some +4/8 carnies when 2 master illusionists and a dark ring mistress and their pets debuffed me but so far its easily 1 of my most fun toons to play. Went for as much soft control and dps as i could think of for endgame without losing too much melee/resists. End hurts occasionally, forced to run cardiac.
