Monoform or Biform PB Build, but I feel like I don't even know where to start...

Never played Peacebringer very much in the old days, but I've got a real hankering to go back and do one now so that I can play through Sunstorm's arcs, especially.

However, holy crap it feels like building an effective PB is complicated.  So I'm looking for maybe a build that, even if it's not exactly what I want, is something I can tweak effectively into something that suits my playstyle.  I've got a few things I really want to lean towards, though, so a few qualifiers:

I want to do either Human-only, or Human/Dwarf.  Nova's movement is always too "floaty" for me anyway, and I figure having that many more powers to slot just makes things harder.

If Human-only, I'd like to get Light Form permanent.  If Human/Dwarf, I'd just as soon skip Light Form anyway and take advantage of shapeshifting to be more adaptable.

If at all possible, I'm looking for something that works while leveling and at max, rather than requiring respecs every 10-20 levels.

As noted, I'm planning on spending a lot of time with Sunstorm, which probably means a fair amount of time solo, so I need to be relatively self-sufficient.  However, I'm certainly not ruling out running with others, either, particularly if I run out of "story" missions.  In the interest of sparing my teammates, keeping knockback to a minimum, particularly with regards to AoEs, would be nice.

Finally, money is not an option.  I...have been saving up.  Given the lack of budget limits, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Light Form is a buff, not a form as the name would lead you to believe. It works across all forms, Human, Nova and Dwarf. You will want to take advantage of it. It will actually let you be more adaptable by allowing you cap your own damage resistances and give you a recovery boost while in any form.

I have a thread in this sub forum with a few different PB builds, typically tailored to more end game performance but there are some more budget friendly ones as well that perform just as well.
The beauty of Peacebringers (and Warshades for that matter), is they exemp really well in general and while some builds can vary somewhat in effectiveness at certain levels, typically your less limited than other AT's, especially if you decide to take advantage of the forms. @Redlynne also has a more in-depth guide, typically tailored to builds that you can slot up as you level.

Ah, sorry if I was unclear, I am aware Light Form is not a "form", though I was under the impression it did lock out shapeshifting while active.  With that being the case, and also the crash aspect, I figgered going for a build with Dwarf for "turtling" could kinda render Light Form moot.

I'll take a look.  Been hard finding stuff that's clearly marked, but it is appreciated.  Most builds seem a little off from what I'm looking for (which may mean what I'm looking for is not viable, but I haven't been able to clearly confirm that either...absence of evidence not being evidence of absence, and all that), which is part of the reason I'm feelin' pretty lost.

Even if you can achieve 85% capped Resistances in "Light Form" and in Dwarf Form, there's still a difference between them when it comes to mez protection (since Dwarf Form offers mez protection that Human Form, even with Light Form active, will lack).  So even if you're aiming for the same outcome (capped resistances) by different means (forms) there are still going to be additional metrics beyond that (mez protection) that can factor into the mental calculus in actual gameplay that don't necessarily suggest themselves when simply looking at the build planner (because capped resistances is capped resistances, right?).

Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems to be indicating that I am, in fact, better off more or less disregarding Light Form and just sticking to Dwarf when I ohcrap?

Okay ... that's wrong because that's an over-interpretation of what I was saying.

There are things you can do with Light Form that you CAN'T do in Dwarf Form ... and, ironically, vice versa.  The better answer is that because Light Form isn't a lockout on Nova/Dwarf Forms, it can compliment (and empower) both forms in addition to Human Form.  Dwarf Form lets you keep operating in a mez heavy environment due to its higher MAG of mez protection.  Human Form gives you more flexibility in choice of attacks (use the right tool for the job).  Nova Form lets you do ranged hover blasting.

If you're only thinking in terms of OR then you're gimping yourself from the get-go.

What you need to be thinking in terms of with Kheldians is ... AND ... not just merely the limitations of OR ... because it's the synergies between powers and forms that is the core of your TRUE strength as a Kheldian.

Ahh, my apologies.  Per my previous post at the time, I had been under the impression that Light Form, despite not being a "form" per se, locked out the other transformations (I feel like this was at least a thing at one point, but maybe I just heard wrong).  So since your post seemed along the lines of explaining what Dwarf could do that Light Form could not, I misinterpreted.  Thanks for clarifying, I appreciate it.

It did lock you out of the forms for a very long time on live. The round of Kheld changes by Arbiter Hawk toward the end of the game's life removed that barrier and also made it perma-able (with a half crash) like Eclipse to better balance the two. I definitely would not skip it.

Im triform pb, lightform as human and lightform is very viable build, but requires you to be at a level to use it, dwarf enables me to be tankier at lower levels enabling me to perform both dps and to a point tanking in most of not all taskforces and group levels.

As a triform, having more powers than slots I decided to go with powers that can support the team as well as self buffs, so resurrect (medicine), invis and tp power pools as fillers keeping my ranged damage for nova and high survivability to dwarf form.
