Would really open up the game to player-made stories. Could make custom zones, travel the cosmos in a spaceship, etc. My Stuff: Fightclub PvP Discord (Melee PvP tournaments, builds, and beta testing) Influence Farming Guide (General guide to farming, with maps and builds)

General Idiot Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 It'd be cool to have but from a technical perspective I don't imagine it's terribly feasible for the simple reason that base maps aren't persistent. They're technically mission maps with extra stuff added, so putting a contact into one might cause the spaghetti code to unravel in all sorts of fascinating ways. Or it might work fine, I honestly have no idea. Just depends on how deep the distinction between zone map and mission map goes. When life gives you lemonade, make lemons. I dont really see a problem, as the Cathedral of Pain used to be launched from the SG computer and raid teleporter in bases. With all the stuff you can spray around a base, and how badly the NPC 'pathing' algorithm works on straight stairs sometimes, I'm fairly sure that's gonna be *really* difficult with regards to enemy patrols, escorts and the like. Still would like it, though. Some of those really pretty bases would be fun to have adventures in.

There are many bases pushing the item limit as well that get very laggy. Would be an interesting way to expand the city though.
