Demons Thermal

I 've played plenty of demons mm's in the past but I've never tried this combo or skipped a patron/epic shield before so just how bad will this be (still can't figure out how to post anything other than the data chunk) :

What about teaming makes it tougher for mm's?

Mainly the inability to proceed at your own pace. Most teams tend to move fairly quickly sometimes hopping from objective to objective. Neither of which suits how MMs tend to play.

I don't have a problem speeding with a necro/cold/mace I can just run ahead drop sleet-web envelope and start blasting with gloom because my s/l/e defence is so high but with thermal i'm having to sacrifice so much rech and interesting/fun powers to hit even ranged def softcap its just painful to play on teams.

Yeah some secondaries have much greater slotting options then others. Cold, Storm, Time and Dark probably being the most flexible.

Very respectfully, the statement(s) you are responding to are misleading. There are probably a handful of maps, such as parts of Lambda trial, that are a bit unsuited for dragging pets around. But overall you can and will have fun and be useful on story missions, radios, TFs and Trials. If you love MMs stick with it.

Oh I didn't want to discourage him from playing MMs in teams. But I also want to be honest in that in some maps and teams pets can have some drawbacks.

I don't play my Demon/Thermal as much anymore (not an MM fan, in general), but when I get the MM urge, it's Demon/Thermal all the way!

Yep, Lambda is painful.  BAF is fun though.

Lam’s aren’t so bad on my Demon/Storm I’ve found.  I keep them on passive until I get to a weapons chest and then put them on attack.  The numpad binds are a must for this and other “close quarter” trials and TF’s (I’m looking at you Apex/Tin Mage).

I've been enjoying the Demons/Thermal combo lately, it's the 1st MM I've made past 30. I mostly solo due to limited time lengths on my game sessions. Critique of my current build would be gratefully received:

Im not seeing the Aura buff IOs anywhere.  10%x3 resist to all is gigantic, 5%x2 def to all is huge, 10% aoe def is noticeable

Thaw is not needed at all

Power of the Phoenix is a level 49 filler power (check its end cost and how many times you use it)

Melt Armor is extreme hit or miss because of its recharge.  please remember how fast people kill trash in this game and the lifespan of AVs pre-50

Tactics is not needed because of Supremacy

Spirit Ward is trash, its neat at the lower levels when people dont have their IO bonuses but max level its very meh

Forge can easily be kept on 3 targets with 3 rech.  prince + gargs most of the time or 3 players, whoever.

Hami enhancements are extremely important to maximize enhancement stats + allowing aura buffs

Tier1: 2 acc/dmg hamis, 1 acc/dmg/end pet dmg io, 1 raw end, 2 auras.

Tier2: 2 acc/dmg hamis, 1 acc/dmg/end, 1 golgi, 2 auras

Tier3: 2 acc/dmg hamis, 1 acc/dmg/end, 1 raw end, 2 auras.  1 of the auras being Mark of Supremacy: ENDredux/+resist/+regen.  Even with 60-80% end redux on the prince he still runs out of end in long fights.

Sorry I cant get into mids.

Thanks for the great feedback

The auras are there, 3 in T2 and 2 are in Hell on Earth.

Thaw is a mule for 2 of the resist uniques as I fully slotted the two shields and I wanted the 4 set bonuses from Un breakable Guard but maybe these slots are better spent elsewhere. I'll review.

This is a lvl 50 build but yes I don't anticipate taking PotP until later in the build when leveling.

I thought Tactics would help the T3's to hit given the level differences

I was very unsure on Spirit Ward and have switched it with Experimental Injection to help with End recovery for one or two of the pets, I could swap this for another attack or anything else if this is of little impact. I see you have this also?

Are Hamis better value than the set bonuses? Especially the recharge bonuses?
