I was surprised to get "Pyrotechnique" on Torch for my new Pyro/Time Controller. First name I tried. Go figure!
(Still open on all other servers, and likely to stay that way. I'm a Torcher from 'way back.)

Ha! That's great! I am on Torch and I took that name as soon as I saw the Pyrotechnic Control set announced. I made a random character to hold the name, but when I finally formed an idea for the character's background, I changed it because it didn't fit what I was envisioning.

I made a redcoat.  British soldier back when.  And then got the name The Redcoat for him.  Which maybe isn't so surprising, but still.

 

I redid Holiday Kitten to be Auntie Samantha for the Fourth.  Get it? 🙂 I think she'll be staying that way, I like her outfit.

 

I made a karate chopping Elvis impersonator.  And then got the name The Pelvis for him. I would have thought that one had been taken on principle. 🙂

 

And also got For All Mankind, an Apollo Astronaut looking guy.  Made for one of those contests, turns out he's pretty good as an Ice/Ice blaster. 🙂  The bio is nice, it's got Apollo quotes of historical merit and then a hopeful message from me.  

 

Anyway.  Really surprised Pelvis was available.

 

Edit: Oh, and Bash.  Got that too.  He... um... bashes.  With a war mace. 🙂

Snagged "Aura Borealis" just recently, because Energy Aura was given to tankers. 

"On the Rocks" for a ice/ice dominator.

"Guntroller" for an arsenal/arsenal... Dominator. hehe

I've had a few amazing name grabs.

1. "Spellsinger," right after the melody control set came out.
2. "Illusionist."
3. "Peacock." About five minutes after creating the character, I got contacted by someone who had been checking the name for over a year in the hopes of getting it.  I let them have it, since I'd just checked it on a whim.
4. "Paradox"
5. "Natural Disaster" for my plant/savage Dom.
