Tigersoul78 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 What would be a good secondary to go with Fire Melee? I'm honestly leaning towards either Regen or Willpower. Any thoughts?
Tigersoul78 Posted June 9, 2019 Author Posted June 9, 2019 Radiation Armor was also a thought to pair with it possibly.
Tigersoul78 Posted June 9, 2019 Author Posted June 9, 2019 I feel like /Fire doesn't have enough end Regen or protection. At least not like Regen or WP. Although I am leaning towards Regen ATM.

Tigersoul78 Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Not a bad build at all. I think I'm gonna go Regen though. I like having lots of end lol
Heraclea Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Regen works great so long as you have no ambitions for tanking on your fire scrapper. I remade my fire/regen scrapper here. She is my lowbie task force farmer. Regen is not ideal out of the box for absorbing full team alpha strikes, and has only attacks for generating aggro. I took Stealth, Invisibility, and Recall Friend for team utility, Air Superiority for single target control, and Caltrops ASAP for an extra trouble button. Erratic1 Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Radiation Armor was also a thought to pair with it possibly. With Radiation Armor you get great recovery, a heal, recharge bonus (while in the thick of things), an absorption shield, and your enemies are easier to hit. Electrical covers a lot of the same ground.
Gobbledygook Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Fire + Invuln = Awesomeness This!!! I have a FM/Inv (Brute) and regularly strip the aggro off of tanks, I've had to tank Lord Recluse, and I solo AV's with him. He was fun from lvl 1 all the way up to incarnate content. Even regular lvl 25 common IO's made him seem unstoppable.
Mr. Vee Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 If not shield is go rad. Regen will be very painful with no primary mitigation. It'd be OK tricked out with insane recharge for mog and shadow meld though.
Tigersoul78 Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 I went Regen actually. I might reroll Rad though since he's only 18. Is it really worth it to reroll Rad though?
MunkiLord Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 The answer is always shield This was my best DPS character back on Live. The Trevor Project
Tigersoul78 Posted June 11, 2019 Author Posted June 11, 2019 I really don't want to go shield. So it's either Regen or Radiation. Is Rad alot better than Regen?
Gobbledygook Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Also is Fire Breath worth taking? No, I took it once, respecced as soon as I could
Mr. Vee Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Rad will be an easier ride leveling, but both should be viable IOd. And yeah fire breath is trash.
Murcielago Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I really don't want to go shield. So it's either Regen or Radiation. Is Rad alot better than Regen?
marcussmythe Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 There are pefectly reasonable motivations for not taking shield. For my own part, I just dont care for the look - if I could get the Shield mechanics, without the funny walk/run cycle and the board on my shoulder, Id take it for everything. Great Justice - Invuln/Energy Melee Tank Ann Atomic - Radiation/Super Strength Tank Elecutrix - Electric Blast/Super Reflexes Sentinel Ramayael - Titan Weapons/Bio Scrapper C'len - Spines/Bio Brute
Tigersoul78 Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 Indeed. I have no issue with the shield powers. I'm just not a fan of shield characters. The shield look just isn't for me , that's all.
