SIMPLE SS/Inv Build suggestions for my teenager? (On Mac, no Mids)

Hi, All,

 

My teenager is really into this game, which he plays mostly solo, but he struggles with some disabilities and has a hard time advancing in level. I PLd a Spider Crab for him several years ago and he plays it a lot, but wants another character who's level 50. He has a hard time leveling up on his own. I want to PL another Alt for him. (I have not played for several years, but I remember how to farm XP and just experimented with my old character—I can to it.)

 

He wants a simple melee character and likes the idea of doing a Brute or a Tank with Super Strength/Invulnerability. I seem to remember that Brutes are better solo characters.

 

Could someone kindly suggest a simple, fun level 50 build that is entertaining to play? I have several billion inf on my old account, so I will be able to buy him any recipes/enhancements.

 

We play on Mac computers and do not have access to MIDS. If you could do the full-form (verbose) paste with a suggested build, that would be very helpful.

This is more or less Hyperstrike in his current, non-maxed form.
It's a relatively speedy scranker.
And still total overkill for 90+% of the game.
You'll be Resist Maxed to S/L by default so you can run with Tough turned off.
Basically shuffle between your ST Melee attacks, and Foot Stomp is up so often it's practically a damage aura.

The build is basically self-sufficient, endurance-efficient and straightforward.  No real gimmicks.
If you worry about the "Psi Hole", strip out the Def/End LOTG IOs and transfer the slots to your earliest Resist powers and drop in the Aegis unique and a couple Impervium Armor psi resists.

I'm a Defense weenie, so I see that this drops En/Neg Defense below soft-cap with one enemy in range.
That's easily fixed.  Walk into (or taunt in) a couple more enemies and Incarnate Soft Cap can be all yours!

Ah, that. You didn't watch it? I think after watching the video anyone would understand the context. At the end of the video, they knock out the robber, the guy who knocks him out gets down face to face with him and says, "Nobody plays on Mac...nobody!" You would have to see the video. Since the OP plays on a Mac, I thought the video might give a chuckle here and there.
