I don't think you have that one. I did a fresh test run, again. It looks like the removal of 'Silent Sentinal' didn't affect it. But, it has changed the process in how to get those easy 5 merits for anyone new or old (veterans of CoH) players. The process is now the following: -Make new blue side hero -Grab inner inspirations from P2W vendor -Go to all badge locations on vidiot map (minus 'Silent Sentinal') -The new badge spot is behind Ms. Liberty -Sell the cheapest inspiration to a vendor and keep the other 2 inspirations that sell more on the AH -Go to 'merit vendor' machine and buy either 'Enhancement Booster/converter' salvage and put on the AH for 1 influence -Grab your 600-900k (depending on prices for that day/week) -Sell the 2 inspirations from earlier on the AH for 1 influence for extra influence boost on top of your new 600-900k -Send the money to yourself via e-mail I was wrong on knowing why it was moved and I apologize. Now we all know the new method for new/old players to make easy influence in-game. Thank you to all for the replies. Edited February 21 by heyedwin I added the "newly" located badge behind Ms. Liberty mentioned by AboveTheChemist and Lockely. 1

It's a good chunk of money for a new player/alt, but I just hope you're not actually doing a loop of making new alts for this purpose alone, then delete and start over. 800-900k is not worth the time. Either keep leveling and doing storylines or reach level 50 and that sum is peanuts. Simply being 50 and doing a Tinpex a day takes 30 minutes and earns 80 merits, plus whatever may drop, plus whatever raw inf obtained, plus the needed incarnate salvage. - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.

All HC did was move it back (and swap Silent Sentinel off to Echo for balance) to ensure that no matter where a new player starts, they get an exploration badge within 15ft of their first trainer. Rookie was never there. Rookie wasn't an exploration badge at all before at least Score; it was the first badge you got for spending a token in the Paragon Rewards program. 1 Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.

In the past, it was easy 600-800k influence. But after the new patch went live. It no longer gives those 5 easy merits because 'Silent Sentinal' was moved. I'm not asking about comparisons, I just want to know if I'm going crazy because of one change, which is the location of 'Silent Sentinal'. That's why I provided a full uncut video of me doing the location run for the easy 5 merits. I haven't read through the whole post, but I'm assuming that the vidiot map hasn't been updated to show the badge behind Ms. Liberty. I made a new character and picked up all the badges for the Atlas Tour Guide accolade and did get 5 merits. It wasn't enough to unlock the fast travel power. I then went to the Pocket D, picked up the badge there, back through a base teleporter to Peregrine Island, went inside of the Portal Corp building, and that was enough to unlock the Long Range Teleporter. I did go get the one in Talos as well, as Talos Island is a Nexus location with a base portal directly near the tram, Wentworth, stores, and a detective. I know that this thread is really about making some starting cash and not about the travel power necessarily, but, overall, I don't use the Long Range teleporter that much since I have access to a base(s) and a teleporter to get to base when I'm not near a base portal. The day job for parking near a base porta allows you to teleport to a base (up to 30 charges) and is often enough to get around when you need to. Log out a base portal once you get enough patrol xp, and you'll get the Rapid Responder accolade and start getting charges to summon a base portal (up to 30 charges) as well . (The same goes for getting a free fight pack - that charges to a max of 2 hours of flight time - for getting the day job from the shadow shard). Honestly, saying that, I email influence to myself and then give enough to every new character to get one of the P2W/START flight powers and all the Prestige power teleports. I end up using the Long Range Teleporter most of the time when I first log a character into the game to get to Atlas or the Pocket D if that is my destination and I'm not there already - which is really lazy since I can simply go to a base and then go wherever I want. (The advantage of the Shadow Shard fight pack to the void disc, magic carpet, or rocket board is that you can use your powers while the Shadow Shard flight pack is active. The advantage of the void disc, magic carpet, or rocket board is that they don't have a timer on them.) If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

Yes, but that's not level 1 🙂 For ... most everything but controllers (and even some of them,) I used to take them into BB at level 15 for the Shivan and the temp stealth. Especially once - well, the zones pretty much died. DOs or level 15 IOs work fine. (And if you're a low damage character... you don't have to have help for the bunkers in BB going for a shivan. All the turrets respawn on a - believe it's 5 minute timer, but *only* if they're destroyed. So what you do is wear them all down to *just* a sliver of health, but destroy *one* of them - preferrably a white, dual artillery gun. When that respawns? You have the full few minutes - take it down, take down the ones with just a sliver of health, hit the computer inside to turn your meteor chunks into a shivan shard, then beat feet (or wings or whatever) back to base and turn it in.) Ding ding ding! Exactly right and yes, it is five minutes. I timed it once to be sure. If I'm on a high damage character, I just dive in and if they respawn, I just do it again. If I'm on a low damage character, I'll destroy one and wait for the respawn. I don't usually bother pre-damaging the others because even a defender should be able to take down the turrets if they have the full five minutes. Originally on Infinity.
