MasterAdun Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Ive been trying to get homecoming on my Mac (just got it) with M2 chip, I downloaded and used the launch cat but for whatever reason it briefly opens the window, says " checking update" and then just force closes. Any help to get homecoming up and running??? thank you in advance!
Captain Fabulous Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I'm pretty sure you'll need emulation software like Parallels. PC games won't run natively on M2 chips.

Launch Cat is a Mac specific installer that grabs the required libraries needed to run City even on Apple's M* series of chips @Manga May have more info for this, or may need logs / etc. 1
Game Master GM Manga Posted March 8 Game Master Posted March 8 (edited) If anything strange happens with LaunchCat, the best place to start is rename the coh folder inside Applications and launch LaunchCat again. Rebooting first helps sometimes, too. Edited March 8 by GM Manga 1 Mac expert and designer of LaunchCat. Interested in participating in Closed Beta or Vanguard events? Send me a PM!

To install it via Terminal (or find out if it is already installed): /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license Edited March 10 by uninventive Apparently once you set a signature, you cannot blank it.
BlackSpectre Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Yes. Install Rosetta 2. The install will work great Black Spectre - A Dark Defender's Home on the Web • The Advanced Bind Guide • The Masters of BAF: A Guide for Leaders and Players • The Wiki List of Slash Commands
