temnix
I once had a conversation in General about the purpose of stores that sell single and dual-origin Enhancements: Cooke's Electronics, Image Inc. and the others, now that all shopkeeper NPC sell those Es. The change made those wonderfully designed and interesting stores obsolete. Someone wrote: "Left to their own devices, players will eventually optimize all fun out of a game." And Homecoming people think like players too. After all, they are only modders, not creators. Almost all they offer is convenience: command line shortcuts, Null the Gull... The least they can do to keep those stores occasionally visited is to improve their buying and selling prices by a good amount, let's say 25%. And let them sell Es of any level, up to 50. That will help out poor players to get by without selling their Merit Rewards. Even better, let those places and only them buy Inventions - of any kind. As specialized stores, they are uniquely qualified to take those off players' hands.
Rudra
Okay, first? A modder is a creator. Do you have any idea what it takes to mod any games? Second? Command line shortcuts and Null the Gull originated on the Live servers from the original devs. And while I'm not sure about now, but back on Live, if you wanted to get the most inf' from selling your enhancements, you went to the appropriate vendor to sell to. Because anyone that was not that enhancement's origin as a vendor paid you less than the vendor that sold that type of origin enhancements. The exception being Elite vendors (or whatever they are called) that pay the same for all origins.
Haijinx
OP, why are you still complaining about money? If you'd simply leveled up one character to 50 and played 1 TF a week you'd be able to buy all the SOs you'd ever need by now. 6

If the Level 10 IOs used for the various crafting badges would even sell for list price on the market, sure. Usually, I just delete most/all of my low level badging IOs (SOs are better), so having vendors buy common IOs (even at a 90% loss) would be a win here. If they are set or not set IOs I can see that position. It is cheaper to buy at portable workbench at START than it is to do the crafting. The only reason that I craft non-set IOs at this point is to fill gaps in stock at 45 and 50 or if I want a specific crafting badge. I don't delete anything I craft. If they are lower level non-set IOs, I post them for 1 (same as I do with all SOs and white and yellow salvage) I think giving back to the community is a win, but that may be seem to be Ebil marketing to some. I was talking about non-set IOs. The set IOs get added to their buckets on the AH, and will (usually) sell at whatever level people might want them at. Non set IOs stay at their level, and there's virtually no demand for very low level IOs - you almost can't even give them away!

So they have plenty or room. I really have too many characters that I'm marketing with when it comes down to it. 17 hours ago, Akisan said: I stopped trying to sell low level common IOs a long time ago - after a few weeks/months, I'd rather have my AH slots back (especially since I don't alt much, and making mules just to sell minor stuff on the AH seems rather counter-productive) I only craft the low-end non-set IOs when I want the badge name. I'm not a badge ...err... so I I'm not worried about anything but explore badges for the long-range teleporter unless I want that badge name for a character. If you only have a small number of characters, I can see he concern for auction space. I just made 4 marine affinity characters so I think I'm up to 180 characters at this point. 1 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. I rarely alt - something about my main's build just clicks for me, which makes it harder to play other toons. Most of my alts were made specifically for levelling alongside others (and so don't see much use), and only 2 of them have made it above 40. So, yeah, AH space is a limitation for me. Realisticly, I have only 200 AH spots unless I specifically run AH mules (which, again, not interested in doing).

I can understand the people that have a "main" and even those like you that mainly "main". We all enjoy the game differently. I can see why you would rather use your AH slots for other things. We are both stating how we use the auction slots that we have access to. I have only made one mule. That mule was originally created for moving things from one server to another or one sg base to another. Since creating them, I have never moved them off the server that they were created on. I have moved characters from one sg to another (between bases/sgs that I made) to get items out of storage .. usually for immediate slotting. I do understand that some people make mules for one reason or another. And that one mule I did make ... I play them sometimes ... they weren't made simply as a mule ... they had their own character conception and are fun to play in their own right. 1 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.
