Meknomancer Posted August 5 Posted August 5 So i love this power but is there a reason it won't hit static targets such as the Golden Roller in aeon? Seems like you can only use it on mobile enemies.
arcane Posted August 5 Posted August 5 The ITF Romulus Phalanx computer is another common target where this is frustrating. 1
Captain Fabulous Posted August 5 Posted August 5 It's an issue not limited to Whitecap, it affects all targeted TP powers. Something about how the hitboxes don't give you a viable place to land so the power won't activate. 1 1
Wavicle Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) It's an attack. It can't be used on anything that you can't attack. The issue relates to the game engine, that teleport abilities don't know where to put you if the hit box is too big. I'm dumb and misread your post as saying Golden Roller in Cap. XD So, yea, it's all the same problem. Wavicle's Guide To What Really Matters: What Needs To Be Done On Every Toon
SeraphimKensai Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I kinda wish it would allow us to target teammates as well. Figure it could help out an ally being overwhelmed by white capping to them easy and knock anything down around it or just a lazy means of getting closer to them for whatever reason.

I haven't tried it on live, but I could target teammates with white cap in beta. It wouldn't go off if my teammate didn't have an enemy targeted, but, if they did have an enemy target, the power "teleported" my character to my teammate's location and the damage goes off at their location - versus "teleporting" my character to the enemy targeted by my teammate. I guess this could be useful to back up melee characters or to get to a friendly character that needs heals quickly (but they would have to targeting an enemy for it to work - if it is working the same way as it did in beta). If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
High_Beam Posted August 6 Posted August 6 This is one of several powers in MA that I have target macros built for. while the click and place icons are in a separate tray for strategic use, target macros smooth out the chain significantly and removes issues like this Whitecap thing. Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Thank you Name Release For letting me get my OG main back!
Sakai Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Oh this is a water power set. Was assuming it had to do with an American military branch. Good to know.
