I know I know it's not even Halloween yet! But want to get this out there early in case people think it's a good idea 😄

That paying a visit to Father Time during the Winter event will reward you 1 winter pack either per global or for completing his mission to rescue baby New Years (If people have ideas on a better limit to this please suggest them) as it will be a way to introduce people to the packs and allow people to get a mixture of influence from the enhancements and some cool toys like summonable snowmen!

For comparison ToT is netting you about 20m influence per character if you get the 5 badges and level 25 (Super easy and limited to per character)

So although it will make it slightly easier to get influence, it is nothing compared to sitting afk in PI on a toon with 2x XP whilst you on occasion click a door

From my rough calculations (Accounting for percentage chance of certain drops and average market value) each pack is worth 9,785,962 Influence.

An average of 1.2 winter o drops per pack, even with nothing else, is 2-3x your estimate.

I was going to say... I know someone who bought several thousand of them last time they were on sale and he says he averages about 26 million on a winter pack.

Also, not sure where the op is getting 56 million for the EBs, as Prismatic Aethers generally sell for less than 2.5 million each, even less when they get flooded during Halloween, meaning you'll do good if you get 25 million from them.

What this team needs is more Defenders

My apologise @Yomo Kimyataand @Psyonico my numbers were a bit off 😅 I had old calculations for packs that looks like it was wrong when I made it 2 years ago and thought the badges granted 5 aether each instead of 2. Taken most the math part out as I am too tired to try working out maths now 💛

Aren't they already offered as an reward for completing the Winter Event trial? How do they drop normally? If there isn't a drop mechanic, yes this suggestion works for me.

As far as I'm aware, they're *only* available via the market, seeded at 25m. I don't *remember* seeing them as rewards. (And they no longer go on sale for 10m over the winter event.)

And so the more accounts you have the more Winter card packs you can get to pass to your main account?

Hard no on this one.

People have been known to run around during the Winter Holiday Event and give out card packs.

Perhaps some of them will give out some Lords of Winter packs this year.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

I think winter packs are excessive rewards, but a semi-random "drop" from the winter pack rewards table would be appropriate.  Maybe a 5% chance of getting a winter IO and a much higher chance of getting one of the temp powers or salvage drops.

That would work 💛 Could do it like at the end of a trial where you get a random chance of a uncommon - very rare piece of salvage but with the winter pack rewards 😄
