More zones in the Rogue Isles need Invention Stations. There's one in the Uni on Cap, abandoned labs in Port Oaks and St. Martial, and that's it unless we go to a co-op zone. How about one in Recluse's tower near the portal? Maybe put one near every trainer? Orobos could use one too. I don't think it would be that hard to add.

Make your secret villain lair (base) and put one in there. Put dozens in there if you like!

And don't forget to put in some death traps for pesky heros.

If you don't want to build a base, just yell out and people will give you passcodes.

Not hard to add, but not very visually appealing from my standpoint to put one near a portal (when you can simply go to a base at that point) or near a trainer.

I definitely think that there shouldn't be any in the Ouroboros.

None of this is to say that you shouldn't post your ideas. I just disagree that extra crafting stations are needed when they are actually very easy to get to by going to a base.

If you have issues with how easy it is to get to a base portal, you can park your character near a base portal which will gain you a day job and, after that, charges to teleporting to bases and, once you have the patrol badge, charges of summoning a base portal ... or you can forgo that and go directly to the START vendor and buy both of those powers individually.

Just in case you don't know, if you use one of those powers to get to a supergroup base, if you exit through the base portal you entered through, 1) if you in the open world, it will drop you in the same place, and 2) if you are in a mission, it will drop you near the base portal that that mission was in (can't remember about the ones with train/ouroboros access). But most bases has teleporters to many if not all of the zones in the game (it won't give you access to the ones that you can't go to due to your alignment).

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

Agreed with @UltraAlt. The invention tables are currently placed in thematic locations. And there are multiple ways to access them without having to add more just for the sake of adding more. If you craft enough, then you won't even need to go to a crafting table, you will get a power to summon one directly to you.

The Portable Workstation is just 10million at the START vendor and unlike on the live servers the recharge time is 5minutes so you can just resummon it whenever it expire.

I disagree with it being easier to go to a base. I don't like breaking the flow of the game with the extra steps and loading times of a base run. I'm not interested in base building and relying on strangers for a passcode, then remembering said passcode, doesn't feel right. I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.

You may not be the only one, but I'm not one of them.

I feel that it would be breaking from the thematics of the genre to put crafting stations out in the open.

We do have options available. That said, not everything is as accessible REDSIDE as it may be BLUESIDE.

Example: It is possible for red or purple enemies to normally appear in Mercy on the way to the Black Market, Reward Merit Vendor, the Crucible, and Pocket D. Doesn't happen in Atlas.

Example: No where near the same number of enemies on the way to the train station in Atlas as there are in Mercy on the way to the ferry.

Example: Access to Atlas but none to Mercy from Ouroboros.

Example: Recluses Victory from Mercy?

Example: Rikti War Zone from Mercy?

..it's a loooong list of examples. Things can just be easier blueside.

If you are interested in some of the bases with crafting, vendors, and base teleporters, Years ago I in-game emailed myself these two:

Indom: COSMICTRANSPORT-6608

Excel: TOKEN-5244

We can also set up a macro to use next to a base teleporter which will includes the passcode (don't have to remember and type it in every time)

If you exit Ouro to Cap au Diable, it drops you right in front of the University. Can't say the same for any of the hero zone exits. There are also invention stations in RWZ and Pocket D. I think the only villain zone that doesn't connect to one (or both) of those is Nerva, plus you can use base teleport, long range teleport or LFG teleport to access.

Right now, they are in the universities, (3 blueside, 1 redside, 1 goldside).  And they can be added to bases. While having one in every non-hazard-zone wouldn't really hurt anything, given your self-imposed restrictions of "refuse to use a base", I think the solution then boils down to "get the summonable one".

The hassle of going to a university is not that large. It's very doable between missions. If even that much delay is intolerable to you, then I really have to ask would having one next to each trainer really solve it, or would that feel like it was still "too far" and "interrupting the flow of the game".... particularly in big zones like Independance Port, or Salamanca, etc.

I really think long term, you'll be happiest with the summonable one.
