Why Can't I Remember Your Name?

Do you have a player/character that you loved hanging out with in CoH...but for whatever reason you just can't remember their name anymore? 

 

I have a few I've been wracking my brains over...but one in particular is driving me nuts.

 

My fav alt, Pepto Princess, met and fell in love with a purple guy who made illusions.  They initially started talking because she's all pink. he was all purple....  Even got their superhero groups together for a combined party!

 

But this all happened during the last year of CoH, I knew him for a few months, and both the global and character names have disappeared from my brain.  :(  Hard to find someone when you don't know who they are!

Did you ever take a screenshot while teamed with this player? Screenshots in CoH have a bunch of metadata that includes the names of everyone on your team when you took the screenshot.

Heck, I'm glad I remembered MY Global Handle!

It's odd... For some people, I remember individual character names just fine but can't for the life of me recall their global. For others, I remember the global, but would be hard-pressed to remember which characters were theirs. That's made things a little complicated when it comes to reconnecting with the old gang.

I had over 100 characters across all the servers... odds are there are a few that I don't recall.  <.<

 

My main character and the first one I got to 50, Angel Red, I had on all servers but two, one of the US and one of the EU servers.

As far as names I can't recall that bug me, a had a tween MA scrapper that I RPd with and I just cannot recall her super name or her personal name. :/

The computer I had back then died hard, and all my files with it.  Screenshots galore...lost beyond recall.  *cries*  I brought it to the local computer shop...they were able to retrieve about half my data, but CoH was part of the section they couldn't get anything usable from.

If I had forgotten my character's names, I would not have been bothered by it; this is all a fresh start after all. That said, I'm pleased to have been able to recreate my MAIN main character and name him as he was back then.
