ShardWarrior Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Coming Soon... Just adding the finishing touches. This was a fun one! 6 1
ShardWarrior Posted April 16 Posted April 16 If you are on Indomitable Server, please stop by and check out Indus VII - Research Post for the Paragon Corps. I had been wanting to continue the story of the Paragon Corps, but was having some trouble with deciding which base to do next for them. Having watched Star Trek III the other night, I always loved the view of Mount Seleya on Vulcan. That served as the inspiration for this one, along with other favorite sci-fi works. Some screenshots - Please do stop by and check it out! 10

WOW! I didn't have any characters on Indom, but I transferred a couple over just to visit this place. Gorgeous work! One thing I thought was a very nice touch was the use of the water objects behind the stargate to give it that fluid effect. That's a nice attention to detail! https://imgur.com/mVOyteR Edited April 17 by ZacKing
lemming Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I've been on a trend of seeing how small I can get my bases. This is the result of getting everything in a 3x3 room while still feeling open. This is on Indomitable Server, and the code is Protector-10105 3
SupaFreak Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) Supergroup: The Eternal Guardians Passcode: NOV-3012 (Torchbearer) Base Name: Zynavia (zen-aye-vee-ah) translates to "Sanctum of Eternity" Lore notes and old screenshots are archived here on page 5. Base Design Notes: Primary focus was on ease of travel and not having Fly necessary to get around. We wish the Entry Teleporter didn't have collision on the center forcing us to move the Base Entry forward, but we love the look of it too much to change it. Initially the personal rooms were going to be for our local friends and storage but they dropped out of the game early on. We still kept the layout and decided to utilize the ability to have personalized lighting in those areas for more character vs creating a wide open base. Navigation Notes: There are no longer teleport points to access any area within the base. Entry Point Loremaster and Quartermaster are here and ready to help. Hidden in the obelisks are crafting stations and ATMs for your convenience. The crystals near entry portal each house a Pillar of Ice and Flame. The blue crystals to the left of entry (pictured top right) will take you to Paragon City zones and hazard zones. The red crystal to your right will take you Rogue Isle zones, the others to Co-Op, Praetorian and Shadow Shard zones Screenshot Tour? Sure thing. I hid it in the Spoiler as to not cause excessive scrolling for those not interested in viewing at this time. Spoiler Off we go... What's that off the trail to the left you ask? That's the Ancient Burial Site Let's get back to the Main Base Entry Feel free to look around. If you see a Midnighter, they can direct you functioning items (just mouse over in front of them), When you're done here, follow me through the arched doorway to either the left or right. Storage Room Again, the Midnighters can point you to items of importance. There's also a crystal storage room here. Oh yea. I see you noticed the crystal mining shaft overhead. We'll get back to that later. It leads up to a cabin on the mountaintop. For now, let's head back outside to the... Left Wing Entry Be sure to check out the stairs to the left... They lead to what we believe is a meditation area over the left waterfall. Alright, back down the steps to... Room 1 Not sure what they used to use this room for. We believe for some sort of training. Room 2 Advanced study room? That's our theory. Room 3 We believe this was some sort of spirit cleansing room. Room 4 This was obviously the primary study room. Room 5 This room we believe housed a woman of great importance. Worship Area Members of The Eternal Guardians find themselves returning here instead of meeting their demise. Arcane Sauna Yea, they apparently had these back in the day. Okay, we're going to pass back through the main base entry again to the... Right Wing Hallway Room 6 Whoever stayed in this room apparently really liked gargoyles. Room 7 Our analysis of this room indicates it was used for some sort of interdimensional observations. Room 8 Another sleeping quarters of someone of great importance most likely. And across the hall where the noise is coming from... Arcane Power Room Alright, let's head back out the right wing entry point. Take a little stroll down the path... There. See those giant fallen rocks? Watch your footing. You've got to see the... Mystic Lake Go ahead. Go for a swim. Ah. I see you noticed there's more giant fallen rocks up here. Probably due to the torches lighting the way. Yea, we did too. There's a wooden bridge that takes you over top of the arcane base. If you're careful, you can use the rock ledges on either side to get up top to the shack at the top of the mining shaft. Feel free to... Explore! Maybe hang out with the pack of wolves for a bit. Or get cozy with one of the many lone spirit panthers out there. Or if you're the exploring type you can try and locate the rumored red crystal cavern. What am I going to do? Tour's over. I'm flying up to the highest point to enjoy the view! Thanks for visiting! Hope to see you around again soon. Edited May 5 by SupaFreak Updated screenshots after 20+ hours of editing the base for 2025 Contest. 5

BlackAtom Posted May 30 Posted May 30 The History of VK Crown & Bone Formerly: The Order House of the Black Meridian Erected in the late 1700s, the building now occupied by VK Crown & Bone began as the Order House of the Black Meridian, an imposing stone manse established by a quasi-occult society of ex-naval officers, pirates, and deep-sea mystics. Known as the Black Meridian, these shadowed mariners dredged a dark obelisk from the trench beyond Sharkhead Island and declared it their guiding star. Behind its baroque arches and sea-facing windows, the Order performed eldritch rites, charted impossible tides, and whispered to things beneath the waves. Trade in cursed goods, salted relics, and vanished ships soon followed. But even Port Oakes has limits. According to surviving tavern lore, the city’s criminal elite, weary of whispers and worried for their reputations, organized a masked raid during a high-society banquet held on the premises. The building was stormed and burned, and the heretics vanished into the smoke—leaving behind only scorched stone and that silent, ever-turning obelisk. Over the following centuries, the structure housed everything from failed distilleries to meat-packing ventures to an experimental freezer warehouse—none of which lasted. Until now. Recently and quietly acquired by Vampburger King Holdings, the building has undergone a full restoration and grand reopening as VK Crown & Bone, the corporation’s first upscale waterfront establishment. Whether it thrives… or joins the long, cursed list of its predecessors… Remains to be seen. ((Everlasting Base Code VK-36815 to view all three of the VK restaurants! Crown & Bone still under construction but nearly complete. )) 2
Techwright Posted yesterday at 09:01 PM Posted yesterday at 09:01 PM Action Figures SG Base: The counter-argument to "I can't build a good base in this game". If you've ever said anything like that, read on. I'd like to encourage you with my before & after improvements in hopes that you also will set aside fears and started on the road to a great new base. Please feel free to drop by anytime to visit, take notes, swipe ideas, and send me questions. I'll try to answer anything asked. You're also welcome to use the base as a transportation hub. It has everything needed for a non-SG member: trainer, vendors, costume agent, personal vault, rewards vendor, temporary enhancements vendor, fire & ice pillar, and mission boards. Location: Excelsior Access code: OPENTHEBOX-11976 Recommended best viewing: type /visscale 5 in your chat line and hit <enter> For guests: Please see the last picture. For fun, the base offers a rubber duck hunt, with clues posted on the entrance wall. I avoided building any substantial base in Homecoming for years because of various fears, most notably the fear that I couldn't work with the dated base-building control system. I'd dabble with a few things, with limited success, notably my zone portals, but that was it. Mostly, I just placed pre-fabricated essentials and called it quits, until... The base as it originally looked: (starring Vincent Poe) Last spring's base competition got me to make an an overhaul of the base in an effort to overcome those fears. Following are snapshots of the results of about 6 to 7 weeks of work, much of that spent just experimenting to see what the control system would allow. Check out the pictures and ask yourself, what kind of nice base might you have if you'd give 6 weeks to learning and trying? It doesn't have to be this big. I wasn't even a competition winner, just a guy who is very happy to have a nicer base. I worked with one central idea: I would not sacrifice the functionality of my base's "everything important in reach" design. So every interactable is in the main room, and is built within reach of the base teleporter. It is very practical for rapid work during a Task Force, for example. Second floor crossview of the main room with zone portals visible. The full base. Only the interior is accessible at this time. The exterior was designed for show via the large picture windows.
