  1. Honestly I haven't noticed any impact from the triumphant insult procs, they're in there purely for overkill purposes. I like the idea of trying them in the toggles though. Nice thinking!

  3. Hi everyone, I thought I'd share this build I've been playing for a tanker that operates as a melee controller and essentially stuns everything within about five miles. It's great fun to play - getting the "drinks on the house" wobbly stun effect on everyone is really satisfying - and really quite durable. Bit expensive though. The goal of the build was to maximize stun even at the expense of resistance/defense - almost every power that could get a stun proc got one, and I tried to maximize stun duration - first time I've fully slotted a lot of these sets to be honest. The Call of the Sandman proc in the sleep power is once again tremendous, I just love that extra heal! Brutally end hungry though and so I went a little bit overboard on the end mod procs. Hi Two Dollar Bill, I was also looking for a build that was focused purely around control through stuns and I eventually settled on a dark armor / energy melee tank and just treated it like a melee controller. You get the stun effect from oppresssive gloom and then more or less every attack power, including an aoe, has a stun component. I also took the earth ancillary pool for stalagmites to get another aoe stun. It’s really fun to be in a massive group where everyone is wobbling about - it’s like being the designated driver in the pub at midnight. I know you’re looking for a defender AT and so apologies if this is an uncalled for tangent, just thought I’d throw it out there. Happy to post the build too if you’re interested.

    I love Illusion. I have an Ill/rad, Ill/storm, and Ill/cold all at 50. As much as I love the chaos of the stormy and as much nostalgia as I have for my rad which was my main on live, I have to say my cold is my favorite for soloing at 50. With its massive -regen it’s really straightforward to solo most TFs, AVs, and monsters. Pretty brutal on end until you get heat loss but after that it’s a bit ridiculous. Obviously perma PA is a key goal of the build.
  6. I have a mercs/ff with group fly - it’s great fun, you just hover about like a gunship mowing stuff down.
  7. Thugs/time for me too. It’s the most powerful character I’ve ever created. I actually used it to farm my spines/fire brute to 50. There’s a fantastic guide on time that is stickied to the mastermind forum that has a thugs/time build that was incredibly useful. Also great fun as a theme. Mine is called Dr. Whooligan and he’s a timelord/football thug.

  10. Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone ever plays old school? I played from issue 4 all the way to the end and now COH is back I reminisce about the first time I ever played, the first time I got to whatever the level was where you got a travel power and how thrilling being able to fly was, getting a cape at 25 I think. The introduction of the hollows and Croatoa and Striga. Having to take the fitness pool! I’m rolling up a toon now and I’m going to try to play it the way the game was all the way back then. I’m curious if anyone else has tried that. Hope you are all safe and well.
  11. Hi everyone, Does anyone have any interest in forming an all fire/rad super team? I remember doing this back on the live servers and it was great fun. Thinking of rolling up a team, doing DFB a couple of times, and then going through the TFs one by one. I’m available to do this most nights. Thinking starting tomorrow if possible, August 4th.
