  1. You've never had to go to the bathroom while crossing a zone you're at the minimum level for? Fly: shoot straight up to 100, 150 feet. Go use the bathroom. Come back - you were and are 100% perfectly safe. Teleport, SS, SJ: try to find somewhere with no mobs. Keep trying. Nope, not there. Try again. Give up, head for the Trainer or an interior space. If that was a mission, keep your fingers crossed there wasn't an ambush while you were on the toilet. ... Heck, with Fly, I've been able to go Badge-hunting in zones 10 or so levels higher than I was. With the others .... not so much. (Though Teleport + Hover works really well, that's still two powers, not just the one.)
  2. As i said even waaaaay back on Live ... Trainers need to be given a high-magnitude but short-radius Repulsion effect. Literally, shove people out to just beyond the trainer's arms' length, creating a clear space for people to see and click on them. And to avoid having fliers crowd in from above and cover that clear space ... add in a double-radius high-magnitude -Fly effect. You want to train up? Stand a few feet away - or be put a few feet away. Problem solved. :)
  3. Which is sometimes not possible. As others have said, you get dumped at the foot of the stairs leading to Miss Liberty, every time you make a new Hero character. Back in teh day, you chose between AP and Galaxy City, but now, there's only one road to Blueville and it goes right through the heart of Atlas Park. Also, not everyone is as asocial as you seem to be proclaiming yourself to be. A lot of people have seriously fond memories of CCs and even just hanging out under the statue of Atlas.
  4. The point of the poll/thread, is to find out why people don't want to play Redside.
  5. Sentinel Damage Scale is 0.95, not 0.90 .... they deal about 84.444% the damage of Blasters. :)
  6. WW are located "in an open zone", not as their own separate instances. Also, half a dozen people with powers going, in the University, isn't likely to crash anyone's framerates. Five dozen people hanging out under Atlas' statue and/or crowding around Miss Liberty, all with powers going .... is a different matter entirely.
  7. I suggested, waaaaaay back on Live, giving all Trainers a 6-foot or so very high magnitude, unresistible Repulsion effect. So that everyone would be literally pushed away enough to make a clear zone that people could use to click on the trainer to interact with them. This would help SO much as would general power suppression under the atlas statue. Granted, that would get tricky with the marker on his head. Power suppression field, centered right in the middle of the Pedestal Atlas is on, but level with the surrounding plaza, and with a radius exactly enough to just barely "kiss" either the bottom of the Globe itself, or else, Atlass' butt/crotch. People who want the badges can still fly, SJ, or jetpack up there - they just need to start from not-in-the-plaza-proper. Off to the SIDE of City Hall, for example. Have the field work as a debuff that "pulses" every, say, five seconds, and lasts for six seconds, turning off all toggles (and ONLY toggles). You can use your travel power to get there, safely - plenty of time to land, even with flight. But to leave, you're going to have to (for example) walk down the steps in front of Miss Liberty, to the sidewalk, and :oh the horrors let us now clutch our pearls: wait a bare handful of seconds before toggling that power back on. Alternately, if the field can be coded to leave travel powers (including Sprint and it's variants) unsuppressed ... that would be the absolute best solution, IMO.
  8. So, now that I can see what those numbers mean - see what was actually done to the Sentinel powersets - I have to say: GOOD GOD DAMN, that's too much of a nerf. Roughly a 40% reduction in AoE caps, and usually a 50% (or more) reduction in range, on top of a lower damage scale?? Too much. It is too much. A 25% reduction in AoE caps, and a 25% reduction in range, should have been entirely sufficient (on top of the aforementioned reduced damage scale, of course). 30%, tops, for each.
  9. One sudden thought: Any Power Suppression field in Atlas Plaza needs to either (a) not affect travel powers, or (b) be placed carefully, so as to avoid preventing new players from getting the badges on top of City Hall and the big Globe. (a) would be best, but might be harder to code.
  10. That table would help a lot more, if you also included a column for the caps other ATs see (especially Blasters). That'd make it far easier for us to compare them.
  11. I suggested, waaaaaay back on Live, giving all Trainers a 6-foot or so very high magnitude, unresistible Repulsion effect. So that everyone would be literally pushed away enough to make a clear zone that people could use to click on the trainer to interact with them.
  12. Case 5: you ever, ever, expect to team with people who have pets. Especially Masterminds.
  13. Then what would be the medium answer? :o ;D Short answer: No. Medium Answer: Hell no. Long answer: What part of "hell no" did you not understand - the kerning, perhaps??
  14. /JRANGER People would use that to grief others. Hell. My old Robo/FF mastermind? Six pets (seven with the Vet pet, eight with a Vanity pet). Four toggles (Leadership pool, plus Dispersion bubble). That's 21 points, just for me. Worse, go with a Thugs/ MM - two of the pets have toggles, that'd be 25 points right there. And let me repeat: people would use it to grief other players.
  15. Give all trainers a 50-foot Power Suppression field. Also, the Police or Arbiter drones right there where the Trainer is, are hostile to Henchmen/Pets as well as enemy NPCs. (Zap, zap, no more pets.)
  16. Yeah, eventually, that too. But most of the MMs with their pets out in AP are either (a) showing them off, or (b) low enough level they're still using Sprint to get everywhere, so aggro-dragging isn't as much of a thing for them. Yet. But, for myself? One of my standard MM keybinds is CTRL+Q /petcom_all Dismiss ... when I've finished a mission, and step out onto the street .... if there isn't an ambush, poof, all pets dismissed.
  17. +1 Especially suggestion #2. Even if they tethered it so that Grey-conning enemies didn't count, it'd still help immensely. "Oh bother, a mission to hunt 20 Hellions .... let's see what the Radio has for us ... oh good, a mission against some Hellions! Two birds, one stone, let's go!"
  18. Even better: DISMISS THE GORRAM PETS. I mean, it's not like it's really that big a deal to resummon and re-upgrade them when you get to your next mission. Trust me, MM is my "thing", my main on Live (and the only character I ever managed to get to 50 on) was a Robo/FF Mastermind, who was created the very hour that CoV launched. And believe me, nowadays it is SOOOOOOO much easier to resummon, and then upgrade/buff, your henchies ... seriously, those powers are now AoE .. "back in the day" they used to be single target, and MMs would slot their upgrade powers for bloody recharge, just to get back to fighting quicker! If you're in the safe, police-drone-surrounded part of a zone, right next to a trainer? You don't need those pets. Do the right thing, do the polite thing, and tell 'em to go get a cup of coffee in the Henchmen's Waiting Room or something, while you attend to your Very Important, Actually-a-Player business. They'll understand ... it's in their Union Contracts, after all.
  19. They were never released on Live. Your DPS is 0.000 when you're face-down on the floor with 0hp. This. Or rather, RANGED soloist AT (where the Scrapper is the MELEE soloist AT). When played solo, Sentinels are Blasters that trade in a little bit of damage-per-second potential, for a LOT more survivability when they don't have someone else tanking for them. When on a team, Sentinels are Blasters who don't need to be baby-sat nearly as much by the healing-power Defenders and Controllers. ((Also, a /WillPower Sentinel is going to have a MUCH easier time of END management than any Blaster alive ... solo and teamed.))
  20. As long as they aren't PvP badges specifically (e.g., if they're NPC defeat badges or exploration badges) ... just go, get them. Do it during off-hours when there just aren't many people in the PvP zones. :) Hell. Enlist the aid of someone who has Recall Friend. They stay in the base; someone tries to PvP you, you let 'em know, they pull you back to the safe zone as you shout "NO PVP FOR YOU" over /Broadcast. :D
  21. Yes, absolutely. If you've got any Leadership toggles active, your Pets get the same bonus another Player would. Hence why Leadership is so common among MMs. Similarly, all those buffs in the MM secondaries? Work just fine on Pets, same as on other Players. :)
  22. ... following ...
  23. .... and what about people who might like what it has become now? Tough luck for them?
  24. Other way around - 18 bids, 946 for sale. Pretty sure "display error" is the correct answer. Okay then. There are 18 people bidding ridiculously low prices. And 946 that are selling for huge prices. ... you list one for "1", and one of the low-ball bids snaps your item up, netting you only 314. Still nothing wrong at all.
  25. A solo Defender gets a 30% damage boost. Couple that with aggressive Debuff'ing of enemy resistance and defense, and well-slotted attack powers? Compared to a fairly baseline (IOs but no sets) Sentinel? Sure, I can see it. But, as I'm sure you will agree, that's a ridiculously biased comparison, there.
