I figured as much, but it's been awhile since the last update. Just checked my character that shows as level 38 in the drop down and got the level 50 badge on August 7. So, it's been at least a month.

I will say, I can really see how badly my reflexes have gone down with age with the ski slopes

Setup a Mission Computer in base. (Though I think there's one in Fort Trident?)

There does seem to be something going on. It doesn't list my latest characters and levels are lower on a few characters as well. It copied my character who is listed as level 22 in the drop down, and it was fine on Beta. Level 50, etc... So there's something a bit off there.

100 characters on two accounts, five haven't hit 50 yet. I'm trying to keep myself to 100. If I get an idea for another char, I tend to delete one of the non-played ones. Which one gets the axe is getting harder. Some I want to keep the name, or the concept is something that I just haven't given up on. If it's the name, that may wind up being one that gets rerolled with a different AT, powerset, etc... I play almost all on Everlasting now and some have moved over from Excelsior. So far 42 have moved over. I also have one outlier on Reunion holding down a base. I do tend to run all my characters a least briefly during holiday stuff which is one reason I keep the limit of 100. I can cycle thru that. When I had over 200, it was bit much. (And I'm too CDO to not run them thru some of it...)

Well, this is lame. So, I copied your menu and it didn't work as described. When I looked at my launcher log, it complained ERRORLOG FILEERROR: texts/English/menus/test.mnu File: texts/English/menus/test.mnu Parser: unrecognized token xxchat in texts/English/menus/test.mnu, line 1 Putting an empty line as line one, solved it. Menu "xxchat" { Title chat Option "help chat &q" "beginchat /hc [@Lemming] " Option "LFG &z" "beginchat /lfg [$level $archetype] " Option X "say This seems to work now" } So, bit of an odd parser error, but it works now. Missed it because all my menus have a bit of documentation which had the whitespace in there. On the plus side, looking at the log showed another one of my commands had an error. 😉

Menu names need to be unique, there may be a popmenu with that name elsewhere. Try renaming the line Menu "chat" to Menu "chatty" or something, then reload.

The Disagreeable Dr Quarterfield and The Mortifyingly Cruel TF
lemming replied to Tobogon's topic in General Discussion
Is it freaking long? Does it seem repetitive? Too many kill alls? Yes. Back in the day when we didn't have a bunch of mission teleport, etc... abilities and Recall Friend didn't come close to helping out there, it was terrible. And took forever, and the memory remains. I prefer it over Synapse. Takes about the same amount of time for more reward and if I want to solo it, I can without concern. And that last bit where you hunt down the escapees isn't that big of a stretch, though for some reason, I think we used to hunt them in the sewers. -
Just make Revive a toggle.

There's a few spots you'll get extras. I think a few of the arcs that were introduced at the same time. Praetor Marchand's arc and others have the potential.
-
I think it's just a random chance without any restrictions as you describe. If that was the case, what would be the choice if no one had any of the defeat badges? Especially for those seasonal ones (Lord of Winter, and which Jack or Eochai?) In any case, if I'm reading the code right, it is just a random chance between the 16 entities minus the ones that appeared in the same round.

I don't think I've run into bots, I just see masses of masterminds sitting at the Motel during Halloween.

Yea, I spent my youth doing a lot of chores as an only child on a small farm. I was using a chainsaw at the age of 10.

My definition of that badge is more tedious than hard, but let's forget semantics. Takes at least six runs of the first part of the trial, but the chances of that are pretty slim. The fewest runs of the first part I've done to get the badge is 9 and 18 has been the most. The last nightmare is always the most frustrating, but you have a 19% chance of getting it each run. There's a weekly run on Everlasting that will run the first mission as many times as it takes. I think Excelsior has it happen occasionally.

I wonder if some sort of blanket mod could be produced and installed via citymod for such situations?
-
Should be noted: Don't run Tequila, use the newer Homecoming Launcher.
-
Debt now is merely a badge. My first character was a fire/fire blaster and spent most of the time in debt on live. Now on a team, if I faceplant, I'm usually free of debt by the time I get back up. The badges are part of the requirements for getting the rez power from the p2w for free and one of the red side Accolades. (There may be more)

Pretty well covered by Greycat, though if you want another way to check: BadgeSetList popmenu which can be installed via CityMod or manually.

Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #42: The Shadow Shard
lemming replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
122 Reward Merits. It does get a bit of attention during WST. I will sometimes run one of my chars thru it solo while working on other stuff or do a solo "speed" run. Depends on my mood, but I'll run it for others. I do like that it's one of the few without an AV at the end. (I tend to find AV fights boring while solo) Easy enough to do in 90-120 minutes The repetitious nature of the missions is a definite issue: Four Crey bases in the shard, and then two in Paragon, then two sets of dual missions. And the hunts seem to always feel like filler. And too many kill alls. I'd probably replace the "Defeat All Crey" with "Takeout Base Leader" and cut the numbers for hunts to 25. That would be first easy pass. Longer pass would be to work the storyline a bit more so they feel different. -
Is Market Inefficiency Causing Salvage Price Spiral?
lemming replied to Herotu's topic in The Market
That's me! I just went thru a bunch of dumping common & uncommon on the market for 11. Common started sitting for a bit before selling. Uncommon seemed to stick above 1k for the ones I sold. I tend to run out the commons, and leave a couple on hand of each type of uncommon after restocking the base. -
Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #42: The Shadow Shard
lemming replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
Jetpack vendors got replaced by p2w vendors, but then the p2w vendors were removed "recently" from the Cascades, Chantry, and Storm Palace. Firebase Zulu still has one, but will not sell to you if you are on a TF. (I just updated the wiki about those...) -
Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #42: The Shadow Shard
lemming replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
The TFs could use a bit of streamlining, especially the hunt 50 and up ones. There are repeatables already, but they're pretty cookie cutter Speaking of: Yep, Kora Fruit used to be a large inspiration. They got cut back to medium on live after people were harvesting, then selling them. Things that have been on my list for the Shard: 1) Shrink them down a bit possibly by 1/2. 2) Fix the geysers so they actually shoot you toward the landing spots whatever travel power besides flight you may have active. Only if you hit a movement key should it not land you in the intended target area. (That would go for the ski area ones as well) Incarnate content sure, but not the zones themselves. Co-op, there does seem to be some interest from the redside, I even think there's some mention in one of the HC arcs, plus some of the older content hints at it. Then of course, it seems the whole Battalion bit where Rularu was to be used against it, but I don't even know if the original devs had that figured out. -
Not contradicting, just adding some info Chronologist and Survivalist Dayjobs give a recipe bonus on mission completion, but it's random what rarity. (And that builds up when not played) Windfall, a temp power gives an increased rate of all drops: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Windfall However, it's solely up to the RNG is your drop is going to be a purple recipe or not. I've had streaks of non-purple drops and other odd events that I'm sure if you sample across every drop from everyone, comes up to a standard percentage. I also had two purple recipes drop on a character in one mission (not MC)

As pointed out, some of the earlier posts in the thread were no longer valid since the power changed. And I think your post was based on bad info as well since you mention radius and pets, but I'm not sure. The valid part of your post was the caster should fly slower so that everyone can keep up with them.
