I don't really have a niche, I just sell stuff when I don't feel like storing it or while doing converter roulette, I will sometimes pop a enh that while it's not useful currently, I can usually then sell it and just buy the one that was my goal. It's not the way to build up a huge stockpile of influence, but it tends to make a little profit and outfits an alt. Slightly annoying right now in that more planning seems to be needed. 😉 This will probably all settle at some point, but I'm also not stressing about it either. Plenty of in game projects to work on

To support what Snarky points out. A small funds player probably buys a few packs and uses them. Maybe they sell some for a profit, but it's a minor blip. At 10m a pop, you could conceivably double your inf. The more funds you have liquid going into the sale, the more profit you're making and concentrating the wealth. I assume that when you put a bid in for 25m on them during the year, the first ones sold are those put in by players since the game is putting them up for 25m. At this point it's a interesting thought experiment.

I've been using TP a lot more since the hang time got improved. And working Fold Space in has been an advantage, plus TP Target is just very useful in teams. For the most part, I rarely take Combat TP. For those chars that need to stealth thru, TP works really well, especially past spots that break stealth like red crystals

Could be very similar to the Mayhem/Safeguard missions from Lord Schweinzer and Agent Hassell. You get set to their mission level on entry no matter the level of the owner.

Heh. We used to have a mannequin at one job when you wanted someone to look at an issue you were having with code because it usually was during the explanation phase, you'd suddenly go "Oh, there's the problem!" At least while working from home, I can show a problem to my cat.

Ok, found the other mention about the discontinuing the sales in discord. I think the only failure on the devs part is that they didn't hammer the explanation into the player base's heads. The value of the contents do seem to be about 25m, though that's if you can buy enough to account for the RNG screwing with you. And yes, having them drop to 10m or 15m means those with plenty of spare inf could profit even more. The devs are trying to keep things a bit more stable though sometimes it seems like a precariously balanced pile of rocks.

I haven't done the math to see what's a more efficient method. Sell converters bought with merits to buy the winter packs, or just buy the winter enh I want via merits. So, if we go with converters at 65k, it takes 385 sold for 25m which you can get for 129 merits (slight rounding there) I'll assume (which may be wrong) that you'll get 1.2 enh for each pack which seems to be what Super Packs give on average. So they're pretty much priced at market value with some extra stuff. Sorta...

One thing I've been doing has been outfitting the alts that still don't have full sets in everything. After going thru all the various recipes, etc... I wind up with a bunch of enh that aren't quite what I need, so I start converting. Often, I'll wind up with an enh that isn't useful to me, but I know I can sell it and probably buy one of the ones I actually need. By this method, I've been collecting up a decent amount of influence and have more or less "finished" characters. I also noticed I had way more emails with influence, so blew a billion on Superpacks. Never doing that again, that was tedious...

They work in any of the non-temp power situations. So any TF that doesn't have no-temp powers selected. Posi is a great one to bring KB protection to for example. Trials are a bit trickier to answer. There are some like SBB which seem to sometimes allow them, sometimes not.

Exit the game completely Look in Games->Homecoming->accounts->(ACCOUNTNAME)->playerslot.txt That file may show where those chars are hiding, possibly on another server? If not, rename it to playslot.old Start up the game again, check all the servers. This way all the chars will be sorted by when they were added to that server.

Today I saw a Super Homage costume with the name of "Kal of Cthulhu" I believe a warshade.

I'd have to screw around a bit more with it. I do have a brute & a scrapper with EM, but the brute has Bio, and they have different slotting. Might just have to play on the beta server to really test this out, but with my non-scientific test, both characters tore through a +1/x6 BNY mission. (they could probably do +4/x8 though the brute isn't as heavily invested on defenses) TF & ET are both hard hitting for starting and/or finishing singles, but they're just part of the overall package.

Project to work on: figure out which arcs the ambushes see thru stealth. I noticed in Praetoria especially, that a lot of the ambushes will run up to my stalker and just hang out. There's another ambush style that goes to a location. iirc, the particular mission that is being talked about, that one might be the ambush that can see thru stealth.
