  1. Note, it's 30 days for characters that are level 1-5 and jumps to 90 days for 6-20, then a full year for thru 49. I'm currently at 106 characters which I'm tracking. Only eight that aren't 50 and only two below 20. I tend to login all my chars anyway for anniversary and winter stuff, so I do go thru the roster anyway. (I usually do it over a week while seeing who is on, etc... and just add it to my dayjob maintenance duties.) I have a few names reserved for later use, but I tend to delete around a month or two if I decided I'm not going to use them afterall. I think the most effect this will have on me is I'll check a couple of my char names to see if they can be renamed to my preferred spelling occasionally.

  3. I think you may be right. Did a judgement on a +4 test and face planted from the amount of incoming fire. (Same action on live results in a much more manageable damage to me)
  4. Starting a test matrix up, but my system can't handle the dang work currently. I did do a quick test with a level 50 with the same map at +1/x8, same mobs, freshly minted on both live and beta. Same inf dropped for each target. Did it also at +4/x8 and noted the agro changes made things much more exciting.   5. I think the idea is to have other stuff later. I'm definitely picking up the mini-me costume for all those blue cave missions
  6. I like the idea to expand the numbers of missions for each. Might have to figure some out for AE and then make a more constructive comment (from me)
  7. I think that one was added after this thread was posted... I think once Khalisti Wharf is finished with eight badges, that spot from the original post is an excellent place for a badge.
  8. I'm predicting this "suggestion" thread is going to be binned. I guess it's more a feedback, but needs constructiveness. Changes happen due to a bunch of different factors. Ease of coding, coolness, and playibility are parts if it, community asking for it can spark it and sometimes it goes in a different direction. I think this patch shows a lot of work, and quality wise, I see it ranking higher than a lot of paid work I've had a non-pleasure to QA
  9. Based on some people's reasons for hating this change, I think you're right. Someone who has alt accounts to PL them to vet level whatever for emerits and then parks them seem to be the main target. It's got me more on board for this change than anything else.
  10. A dev can correct me, but it seems the data collection is a bit of an issue. I'd love to be able to query the system with the ability to pull a bunch of different data points. I wonder if a system similar to the char copy tool could be done where you ask the system (probably via a tool on the forum) that has the system collate the data and email you a spreadsheet/json/blob with data wanted. I'd want a full data loadout, but an account would probably be limited to once a week at most. (Completely OT and should go into the suggestion forum)
  11. I think this is something that's *cough* probably done now with alt accounts until the person wants to use them.... Not a real example or anything... *Ok, I have like six names that are waiting for the right inspiration to actually make the char... I park them on the other account just to not have them clutter the main. And a few have been purged On the main thing about people going off on deployment, etc... I used to moderate a game and this did come up occasionally. We had a few people deployed or other reason to be unavailable that could ask us directly. We had a "safe zone" for those accounts, and froze their stuff for that time. The tricky ones were the people who couldn't contact us directly. The player from Syria who had to suddenly move because her appt building got shelled for example, but another was a hospital emergency where the played couldn't contact us for some time. Definite edge cases and in the game I was doing, much smaller community and if you didn't login, bad things could happen easily. Here, the worst is a name grab and the worst case I could see someone having a plan to rotate thru chars near the grace period, and have the emergency come up just before. Larger community here, and less consequence. For me to rotate thru my characters (around 110 currently) doesn't take that long. I do it at each anniversary or other thing comes up. Even on my slow ass connection, it's not that much work. Tedious, but less so than a respec IMO. It's just a login, you don't have to sit down and bring them up to speed on current events.
  12. I was just screwing around with some farms as well. A couple of mine and a couple random. I think there's going to be a round of editing needed. Does give me another testing parameter to check out

  14. Did a little more testing. Changed map over to Gold Portal Ship, had to drop number of bosses, but everything seemed to work well Chnaged map to Croatoa Winter map again and left number of bosses at the ship level. Still saw a drop in bosses on entry and some mobs faded away when I got close to them. Thinking it's something to do with the map at this time
  15. Threw together a quick test using some custom mobs in the Winter Croatoa Map. Published as #23793 Started engaging a group and a bunch just faded out on me. Noticed the boss count went from 28 to 5. Hostages stuck around, but with their mobs gone, they couldn't be saved. I attached the mission file. Currently on a rather crappy computer which is making testing more painful than usual. Otherwise, I'd do a bit more AEBetatest.storyarc
  16. Played around a bit more last night. As far as I can tell, the non-XP toward vet levels really targets those people that make alt accounts to farm emp merits quickly that are converted to other currency. I'm not sure how much of a problem that really is, and it does have some splash damage. As I said before, it's not going to affect me much, so I think today, I'm going to see if I can play with the customization stuff
  17. I've got a smattering of T4s (and some of those have multiple t4s). I think most get to a set of t4s by vet 20 or so unless I wind up moving some emps from another char, then earlier.

  19. granted, not a full test suite or anything, but my farmer just picked up everything in a run except for XP. (Shard, Catalyst, Thread, influence, converter, yada yada)

  21. 99% certain you're not the target audience. 😄 (I really need to finish some spreadsheet stuff to track login stuff, though for me, it's dayjob related) Level 50s should be subjected as well. I'd go with 18 months
  22. I'm not sure why this change to no xp toward Vet levels in AE is needed. I don't think it will have any real impact on me though.
