  1. Most of my stalkers solo'd from 1 to 50. They're excellent for that. As people said, the ATOs work great for them, but you can go without. One of mine did just SOs for most of it's run. And some of those ambushes will come right to you, but still won't see you. Even if they do, i always liked the run around a corner and pop them one when they come by.
  2. I know! And I just finished a round of testing under different parameters. Though I need to check the methodology and probably need to run a few more times to check results. Right now I have AE producing 2x influence for same effort/time not taking in consideration selling drops. Mission from AE & outside AE showed about the same drop rate, so for comparison, drops can probably be ignored. Repeated this a couple times: Council Mission in PI that took about 15 minutes Ran fifteen minutes of AE Mission #50311 Last time I ran, each had about 160 kills, so I think the EBs in the AE boosted the inf the most. Neither would be suitable for an AFK run

  4. Just to add to the anecdotal evidence: Out of 108 chars, nine are fully equipped with sets, though around 20 others have partial setups, thirty in some incomplete state. I tend to hit 50, respec, fill in with generic 50 IOs. Then those characters get filled in as they play. Three of my chars are fire farmers ( brutes, one tank), pretty much equipped with what I picked up with all those other chars. Tried out a few different styles and have a few others that could be outfitted, but I don't do it very often so hasn't been a priority. I do tend to run them thru the various content to at least get the stat accolades, and for the most part, they seem to do just as well if not better as any of my generic IO builds.
  5. Should be noted, on Live we didn't have anything pooled and iirc, some of the items that can be bought with merits, weren't available for purchase.

  7. Hmm. I might be wrong. May have been DevChoice only ones that gave the choice of XP. There's a note in the Score Doc about that. And this may be of interest. I had read it when I first came to HC, but forgot about it
  8. Upkeep wasn't via influence, but via prestige. And I would jranger any suggestion to bring back base upkeep so fast... I like touring all these different bases built by some serious artists out there. (meanwhile, I'm quite happy in my industrial box with teleporters and boxes for my stuff)
  9. I'm pretty sure normal rewards were an option before HC got involved. It used to be custom enemies didn't give XP, but that was solved in issue 17
  10. My theory: Would have taken some resources they didn't want to spend at the time. Balance is also going to be a subjective thing, and if you have a limited amount of Development/QA, you need to prioritize. And AE is a fun tool outside of the whole farming bit, just under utilized there.
  11. Yep, I would love to see this as well. Should have an option to mark a contact finished if you don't want to follow up on some of the random filler missions.
  12. One thing I find that helps my Endurance issues are the set bonuses that have End Reductions. Combined with Vanden's suggestions, you'll be swimmng in end. (And probably find where you can trim a slot or two for other use)
  13. Personally, a little enforced maintenance might be good for players to do occasionally. The devs have way more maintenance work on their plates to have them have to run manual maintenance jobs. And I still vote that even 50s should have an eventual timeout.
  14. I didn't do a full comprehensive test, but mini-me seemed to be fully functional.
  15. The only powers are the costumes themselves. (And you can buy a power to change costumes, but no attack powers are even mentioned
  16. You can run those intros as many times as you want. Blueside intro is level 50, 11.01 Not sure what the redside number is, but it's there
  17. The First & Night Ward arcs are in Ouro as well. Only things not in Ouro are the repeatables
  18. I have one perma-praetorian that did all the content and then did First Ward & Night Ward. Currently running another thru the same process Pulling a Snarky and have a scrapper doing all the Red/Blue content, though only up to level nine since I got distracted by other stuff. I have tried this in the past and kept accidentally blowing past some levels, so being overly cautious this run thru. He'll go do the Gold side stuff when he gets Ouro access

  20. Ah ha! That worked for my TF equiped char. Ok, I do have a minor complaint: " Longbow Quartermaster: I've got everything you need. You need flamethrowers? I've got flamethrowers." Flamethrowers are not available to buy from them.... 😉
  21. Just logged in today to check an unrelated item, but noted that Echo Plaza is no longer a destination for the Long Distance Teleporter

  23. My favorite is the Pocket-D one so you can visit the gas station. (There's a thread about it around here somewhere) And I'm not connected with the game in anyway, but I think the only thing the HC team feels about holes in geometry is that they'd like to fix them. I don't think they care if you're just exploring.
  24. And if the person never logs back in? This is addressing people having names that they haven't used much, and possibly they're just sitting on inactive accounts.
  25. Check to see where the timing of Dev Diaries happen in relation to past patches. I only glanced, but looks like they write those more as after action reports since they're still currently working on what is going to be published.
