I'm annoyed that Heltor Skeletor got generic'd, but it led to a different experience for the character. He's still ain't no dancer.

It's unOfficial - SUPER SOON!! (semi-official?)

Yep, glowies are the bane of soundless sessions. -
True, though I play a lot of scrappers that get smacked by an AOE if I don't watch it. And with the right composition of team where buffs are happening, it usually works out fine. And a good measuring stick would be the Classic Lord Recluse SF where sets are meaningless.

I'll bet. My good computer decided to die, so I'm running on a 2012 Dell laptop. Something about wine not dealing well horks sound to a horrific degree where I need to just turn off the volume. I don't like playing without sound. -
I feel a project that might be worthwhile is a SO build list. A lot of the usual builds with a SO only one (which can be boosted with Basic IOs...) I tend to respec at 50 and put in generic IOs. Normally a smattering of End Procs since running out of endurance to me is worse than running out of health. 😄 Eventually, they'll get a spec'd out build if I want to put them thru rougher content. (Out of 100+ chars, 7 are tuned with maybe another dozen with some sets) The basic build tends to do fine for most content unless I'm trying to do +4/x8 stuff, but you can still contribute to a team doing such. And usually the non-close combat chars can skate by just fine.

Looking at a lot of this thread: People farming for Emp merits for conversion to inf will be negatively affected. More casual players will miss out on the conversion to reward merits when they need a few reward merits to purchase something via them. (Anniversary badges, or some other vended item) People like me who spend a lot of time playing, but not much on maximizing profit will benefit from extra reward merits. I've only recently been going on daily Hami raids and that's boosted the amount of reward merits more than anything else lately for that character. Speculation: Vet Rewards were initially put in so that the character getting the rewards would then kit out their incarnate abilities quicker than having to do every trial. Not to have a character PL'd up to Vet 50 and then stripped for parts in a farm. This patch seems to crimp the farmer ability a bit while not having as negative of an impact on the non-farmer. And the extra reward merits from itrials will offset that a bit. (Hopefully the DA and other arcs will get a 2-4 reward merit bonus as well. I'd probably go with 1 reward for Heather, up to six maybe for Beltrano (sp) and Number 6, but no cooldown, so not sure.)

While it's true you can load a character fully formed onto brainstorm with some handy tools, it's still a bit of a pain. You also lose out on any base, etc... thing and we've got people complaining about needing to login low level characters to keep names after 30 days. My opinion is Brainstorm is great for testing out stuff, not for actual play. I copy characters all the time to test concepts, but it's not for long term.

Ah ha! Had to double check since I didn't know which one of us was right, but the On the Shoulder of Giants was put into the game on Nov 24, 2020. Several months after the thread was posted. Now we just need to get the other seven badges added.

Was just going to mention that it does not seem to after I just tested it on Brainstorm. -

So my Praetorian filled up my bar, but since she's "Heroic", no badge. On the other hand, she does have the Commuter badge which is close enough, so this allows each side of the Praetorians to get this. (And the tram is still available in the Atlas Park map via Null) -
I like this more than the lack of vet levels from AE. I think I may have converted Emps to Reward long time in the past, but I think I was funding buying all the anniversary badges and was a little short. Couple years in, I'm rarely in need of reward merits and only occasionally have moved some Emps around to boost a character's incarnate stats. I also assumed the vet level bonus threads and emp merits was for building up the incarnate area of a character. Didn't really think to monetize it.

A couple notes made me chuckle, but this one was the best. Glad he's finally getting treatment -
Quick question for possibly @Number Six I noticed if I try to change my name on the character select list, the days offline gets reset to zero. One good way to test this is by trying to change your name to "Wolverine" or some other name that the system rejects out of hand. addendum: Dang it, just tried this out on Brainstorm, and it no longer resets the time. Thought I had found a way to get around the login time issue.

So, is there a chance we could get another feedback topic for AE that doesn't talk about the Vet level change? Clarification: I'm not against the vet level feedback, just the other AE change feedback is getting buried, so need to be separated -
Masterminds have wanted changes for years now.

I'd be for it if it did exempler everyone down to the max level for the zone. I'm not sure if I'd use it much, but it could be interesting and a different way to get the bank missions before you get the guy in Steel as a contact

Note, it's 30 days for characters that are level 1-5 and jumps to 90 days for 6-20, then a full year for thru 49. I'm currently at 106 characters which I'm tracking. Only eight that aren't 50 and only two below 20. I tend to login all my chars anyway for anniversary and winter stuff, so I do go thru the roster anyway. (I usually do it over a week while seeing who is on, etc... and just add it to my dayjob maintenance duties.) I have a few names reserved for later use, but I tend to delete around a month or two if I decided I'm not going to use them afterall. I think the most effect this will have on me is I'll check a couple of my char names to see if they can be renamed to my preferred spelling occasionally.

I think you may be right. Did a judgement on a +4 test and face planted from the amount of incoming fire. (Same action on live results in a much more manageable damage to me) -

Starting a test matrix up, but my system can't handle the dang work currently. I did do a quick test with a level 50 with the same map at +1/x8, same mobs, freshly minted on both live and beta. Same inf dropped for each target. Did it also at +4/x8 and noted the agro changes made things much more exciting.
