Updated the CSV & lab schema. Menu will get updated later today
-
Just because you keep repeating yourself, doesn't make it true. (And that video is a total non-sequitur)

So, this is the data, schema, and menu with many locations listed. Placing the popmenu labhunt.mnu in your <Path to Homecoming directory>/data/texts/English/menus You do not have to rename to labhunt.mnu, but make sure you don't have various versions in the directory since the game works off the menu name, not the file name and if there are more than one, I'm not sure which one will be the active one. Doors are based on clusters, since most doors in one area go to the same location. Most floors have four doors leading to other floors, and two randomizer doors. However, that's not always the case. There's a few things I'll probably change on how it's organized, and I'm currently working on a program to spit out a menu, so I just work off the data. Will be updating the files as they get updated. (And heck, may get my git updated) I'm still needing the drop locations into a couple of the violet floors (suspect that's where they are) Gladiators and Fogs: 115 & 196 of those two documented, and there are 200 locations for each. Upcoming plans: Easier routes to Motes, Secrets, and some of the other locations such as the Mino exits labeled. More updates, though I just learned that there are 20 fogs at a time in existence, not 12 as previously thought. Just added a bunch more Fog locations, courtesy of Tidbit. Locations added by them have a TB on the end. DR on the end means the Demorecord listed location. A bunch more locations narrowed down. Found a couple locations which were recorded on the wrong floor. Found a few more Fogs. Now if there hasn't been a mistake, we have all 200 Fog Spawn points. Note that there is the one that can spawn in the ceiling of the Green Lab, but it is slated to be moved to a legal spot. lab_schema labhunt_2025012001.mnu lablocations_2025012001.csv

Cleaned up a bunch of data, got all the doors done and most drop locations. Doors, Fog, & Guardian locations reformatted. Menu updated near beginning of thread. Going to make data a little less annoying to use, but we'll see how time works this weekend. For those wondering about how many floors and such, my list. Note that Cobalt treats the two Red Cargo, two Yellow Police, and Violet Domes as one floor. I separate them since you have to go thru a door or teleport to get to each one. That's why they're at the end of the color lists for my purpose. I am probably going to reorder each color's floor, just to have them alphabetized except for the Cargo, Police, and Domes. I also think I should start a new thread...

Yes. Gears get spawned and Master Illusionists spawn their usual. Not sure on Emanators though.

Labyrinth of Fog Secret Locations [SPOILERS]
lemming replied to Final Overlord's topic in Open Beta Testing
Yea, that plague was found on beta out in the open, but didn't count for anything so Cobalt moved it. I did go thru and check all doors in the Core and they are all randomizers, so I'm a little surprised that one isn't. -
Victory is a server that has been run by @Michiyo that is being brought into the HC family. There's stuff about it on a few other spots on the forum. I don't know what their culture is, but I strongly suspect it will run the same code as the rest of HC.

Thanks for all the fishes!

What's fun is, we're getting a new shard at some point, Victory.

You might get a better drop from bosses, but when I'm doing casual running thru missions (mainly for badges or something), I'll often have bosses off just to speed everything up. And occasionally, I'll turn AVs on since I'm on stuff that can handle them. It's a case by case method. Normally, time is more precious

There's a good chance that's my fault, am I'm usually CDO about stuff like that. Those were added as found usually and as you can tell, not very well labeled. I'm hoping to get a data pack out with it a bit better organized fairly soon. Though, it's in the order of Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Violet, Orange, White (Core, Lobby, etc...) which is the order presented in patches, sorta difficulty. I mean it's not even color order, or for that matter difficulty colors in the game.

To get to the White Mote of Apathy, you need to hit randomizers until you drop into the Hidden Collonnade. Then work your way to the end of the maze and get the Mote and the Lab Rat Badge. [7145.8 -802.5 66.4] Orange Mote is on the Council Floor at [-3555.0 -330.5 2037.5] To get to the Orange floors, you have to qualify by having the Accolade, go thru the Cow door on the Yellow Lambda level which requires a Mino costume. Or in both cases, follow thru the fog to someone already there. (Which is the easiest)

That's why that name stuck in my head.

For Ankle Biter: Doc Buzzsaw's Freakish Lab. Part 2 I believe and at x8 you'll get the badge in three runs of the mission usually. (I usually avoid clicking all the blinkies and restart the mission. Which if Ouro means logging out and in) That mission will get you toward the other two badges, but I think one of the better ones to get that badge is the new Ashling Arc since it has loads of Crey. Dr. Aeon's SF is another good one in a couple of the missions. (And you can pick up a Immature Protector too)

That's why you keep five alt accounts up so you can monitor LFG on each shard...

In the sea cadets we got a lot of exposure to different roles. Coast Guard, PBRs, Destroyer, Ammo Carrier (Mauna Loa). I was thinking of Coast Guard, but my knees were in bad shape after a growth spurt and being made to do laps around Mare Island. (At least the Navy paid for a lot of treatment) And all before I turned 18. All in all, probably for the best. In the words of a recruiter, I would have made a lousy enlisted, but encouraged NROTC at the time.

Labyrinth of Fog Secret Locations [SPOILERS]
lemming replied to Final Overlord's topic in Open Beta Testing
My Stalker was fine with all but Rularuu and Rikti for perception, however Voids, and a couple other mobs have AOE fields that can catch you. Most mobs are fine with standard 55' stealth. Resistance, Vanguard, couple others need a bit more. 85' works often enough, and 110' almost always. There a few Elite Bosses that give extra perception to their pals, and when they happen to be close enough to a group that has extra perception themselves... -
This was '81 I think. And if I remember right, it was an 82'. I can not remember the name of the ship. (Looking up stuff, Point Cutter maybe?) I was a Sea Cadet, but we (two of us) were brought along on a cruise to intercept drug smugglers and seas were rough. (July or August, west coast, starting from Eureka, I believe we went as far south as SF, but 150 miles out. ) Hardly anyone ate or slept since we were constantly being tossed around. iirc, all the bunks broke. Intercepted a couple ships with nothing and a freighter that turned out it was carrying ignored us but a Navy destroyer got them. That was the exciting part, then we spent two weeks chipping paint and repainting.
-
Yea, that was similar to one of my scary times. Coast Guard cutter in 30-40' waves that were crashing over the ship. At one point one wave washed a couple crew members from the Bridge to the Stern, thankfully they grabbed hold. One of the waves knocked out our engines and we're just hoping to get them restarted before we turned parallel to the waves. Engineers got it started in time, otherwise we would have been testing the "If it capsizes, it will right itself"

AH is cross server along with some channels (Though not LFG) , but your suggestion of having people transfer by using LFG, no. There's a reason we have a limited number per time period and it's not instant. Plus the fact you lose your base and a few other connections. So, not even close.
-
That happens for reasons I'm not entirely sure to me on occasion. It's annoying. Usually I fix it by resizing the window, or orientation, how the teams are listed or something.
-
I really should rework my MC chars to use Burst of Speed. It is pretty good. Inner Will is something I know some blasters use on Auto so that it fires if the char is held or below a health threshold.

Playing by Iron Man rules. Do I live or die?
lemming replied to AyamSirias's topic in General Discussion
Blarf likes a diet of Iron.
