  1. Adding in the Fighting Pool for Tough and Weave, taking Maneuvers, and try to add the +3% Def IOs and +Resistance IOs to your build. Then start looking to set bonuses that grant S/L defense. You want to be as close to 45% Defense to S/L and as high as you can be for Fire/Cold and Energy/Negative. That will help delay how quickly your defenses are reduced by certain enemies. Ice is more susceptible to debuffs than say SR, More sets should mean you can move slots from the Energy Mastery Epic. With Energy Absorption you may not need it at all. I would look for any other Ice Armor builds and see what sets people use, some will be very expensive Winter Sets but that does not need to be your first goal. In short you are in the mid 20s for S/L defense and without constant inspiration use some groups will eat that up. Below is where'd I'd start planning my build. I'd fill in attacks with sets that give defenses to Fire/Cold/Energy/Negative, resists where possible focusing on S/L, and +recharge. I would probably take a travel power instead of Hibernate. Keep in mind enemies will still debuff defenses so Incarnate powers that boost defenses are nice, and so a purple inspirations. 2. Put me down for Jax Frost - Claws/Ice Scrapper. Stolen appropriate costume and all.
  3. It's like I switched archtypes for the Babbage fight. 😃
  4. Fun run this morning even with everyone competing for the same melee space. 😃
  5. That should put us at a full team for Saturday. Thanks all.
  6. @BananiacIn the spirit of fairness, I'll put you down for the Dark Armor Brute.
  7. 12/5/2020 11 AM Central - 12 PM Eastern Because Synapse is low level, better with a group than solo, and a good candidate if people roll alts for the Theme team; lets run an all melee AT group. Brutes/Stalkers/Scrappers/Tankers only. But lets avoid and repeat power sets. Ice Melee and Ice Armor being separate sets. I'll throw my favorite Stalker out as he needs the badge. 😃 First come first pick on powersets! 1 - @Jaxman100 as Jax Prime - Ice Melee/Shield Defense Stalker 2 - @TygerDarkstorm as Dung Beetle - Stone Melee/Bio Armor Brute 3 - @EmmySkyas TankYou - Fire Armor/Spines Tank 4 - @socom242as Magnum Diva - Energy Melee/Energy Armor Brute 5 - @TrixieKixx as Sandy Claws - Claws/Invulnerability Scrapper 6 - @Midnyte - Midnyte Enchantress - Dual Blades/Will Power scrapper 7 - @Bananiac - Elric Stormbringer - Broadsword / Dark Brute 8 - @FrauleinMental - Samantha-7 - MA/Nin Scrapper Sets not currently spoken for. 8. Have fun all, I might be on later this afternoon for a bit.
  9. Not sure if I will have company or not come Saturday morning. So I'll wait to see if there's room and I can make it before throwing anything out there.
  10. You can use most of what any of the fire farm builds linked in other topics. There are a few fairly high up in the Brute form currently. But it's basically add in Winter sets where you can to improve Fire Defense, then replace other sets with sets that give Recharge bonuses. Fill in with damage or -resist procs.
  11. OK I am committing to Faerie Fire, a brand new Emp/Fire Defender! You may or may not receive heals considering the supports I play tend to be debuffers.
  12. I'd be for KB protection of say 3 or 4 in Temp Protection. Not so much you won't get knocked back on teams but soloing at lower levels it would happen less. And still give a reason to slot for set bonuses or the KB Protection IOs. Maybe 4 for tankers, 3 for Brutes and Scrappers.
  13. People recommend Mu Patron because you can get 2 AoE attacks without taking a single target power. And Electric Fences has a fairly quick recharge so you can cast it often. Here's something similar to what I started with on my Spines/Fire that's fairly cheap. Get you to 45% Fire Defense and 90% Fire Resistance. I slotted more for set bonuses than enhancing the powers. You may want to use different pieces of the attack sets. The LotG sets are mostly for the recharge bonus, get them as you can afford and use plain IOs until then. The 2 Unique +Def IOs are great to get. And any Endurance improvements you get from slotting Health and Stamina are nice to have. The rest is just picking as much AoE as possible and using sets with Fire defense. Once you are making money you can swap to a more expensive/efficient build and add in more recharge. The Slots I left blank you can fill in with Procs or what ever stats you prefer. Other than that it is very basic. 14. I have company the Friday after Thanksgiving so I will figure out something for next week for sure. Maybe something outside my normal wheel house.
  15. Or Rogue for alignment.
  16. I'm not sure what you would be squishy to on a standard fire farm. But slotting for End reduc will help keep you attacking. If you move slots into Weave and Maneuvers you can keep the LotG recharge. But you really only need enough recharge for an attack chain. I prefer more damage or procs in the AoE attacks I use. And check your math before dropping a fire shield so you keep 90% fire resistance.
  17. If you have enough bonuses you don't need to run both Fire armor toggles. Also if you have Weave or Maneuvers you probably want some Endurance Reduction slotted in them. This is an older build I used but Consume slotted for recharge was enough to solve of endurance issues. Ageless makes it even better but was mostly used to help Perma Hasten. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1438;679;1358;HEX;| |78DA6594D94E137114C6FFD34E2D85165AA02CB216642D968E60A22C1215311A6A4| |878803AE200A3B590B680E895AFE08D376EB85C78E38DACEA0BA8D1F80CAE572E2F| |60EA61BE4F2499499BDFCC77CEFF3BE7BFCCA4AE8F079F9FBD35A6B4B2D319339F4| |F9FCA2D152C5FCA9CB367BC4AA9E0B8B9929DB57356EB056BC52F42A593904E5919| |CB4A4C2FDA592B5F0769DC9AB5B2792B31615BB9D5F4C9A59CA982530B0B99C4A46| |54ADE5CC87998B0E7E60BF254EA3C4D2F5AD6E588737B2EBB6CE7ED4B76C62EAC46| |CF2CDA3309565A4AA7CC7C413CEBA47C87FCDF742A5E455D7579943274D5DF4DF68| |0462F190737D4DE184D1D9199197E75A05653AAC9AF3645D510F369777527DF738F| |BC0FEA0FC887E08135704B467935F4E21D825FC930583A428E82C113E05BE9DFC77| |ABE65E5F80457C0F255F20618BE091AC73D4ECF35B2077ED4D3FC51CD8995FC518E| |EFB62080982760684E7E7800EC3B0A6A32BE0CB55559512EE5152504C5134AC2B17| |A901C0077245A41E70AE6D430A7C6003FC8AC229C55E41856BD6E881C060F8E90A3| |60E39817AB2A3D54D1BF2A0CBFC66AB099B37C29D1A8B34F455F741EE39B6DF20AD| |87A95CC90D7C036F1AFE5AAD5C6775734A062E47BE9BB9E7DD7D33746DF187DDBE9| |DB4EDF76FABE92510DF0F535AC612E871E918FC92760E753328293F34EEA36F1443| |6C5B1CB9DCFE0FB51622DECA9651DF95D1BE426B905F66C933BE04529D3C6B16D9F| |50B3E733D8FB85FC4A7E03FBBE83AFF986ED9E8E0EF6644AA89B7EDD2FA0F5AD838| |737C92D721BECA75F48D63D4EBF38F7B15CB404B504B50AD192D492D41AF5BD3756| |7EBB27B5D7A5245D8AE152065CCAA04B99D0FF7D028AC54957744ADFFB3E28CD510| |26179EBA1147F944A54DB1FFDF55FD1B41856A2F2BC085DBAFAE9CAFEBD3FFB36F6| |BFF20EF8179371E6D3| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  18. Really a couple of the unique IOs will help layer mitigation. The +Def and resistance ones plus the tanker resist all ATO. Pricey options but effective. My first alt on homecoming was a claws/bio brute. Love me some claws and hadn't tried bio before. I recall swapping stances a lot, fighting either my blue bar or green bar. I went the cheap IO route for S/L defence eventually. Over all I think I would have rather relearned CoH on a more classic set like Invul. More levels means more slots. And it's better to have a well slotted attack chain vs. more attacks. More levels should help. Others might know Bio better, could be easier with more targets. You don't necessarily need to be self reliant to tank for a group. Many people play support roles. Fortitude solves a lot of issues. The hero archetypes always had grouping in mind.
  19. I tried out savage/energy armor brute and it's rather satisfying at low levels. For some variety I'll swap to Savage Jax. Pronounced the same as the Sith apprentice in the Clone Wars series.
  20. Your single target attacks need End Reduction IOs. Classic slotting after Enhancement Diversification was Acc/End/Rec/Dam/Dam/Dam for a lot of people. Other than that, perhaps pick up Conserver Power and Psychical Perfection from Energy Mastery. You can always respec into something else later. Back fill your defensive powers with more slots. Grab Parasitic Aura, Absorb is extra hit points. Beyond that, adjust your difficulty to what feels efficient. Play at +1 instead of +2 but maybe up it to x3 or x4. And chew on Inspirations. Reconsider teaming more. Everyone is a force multiplier, one buffer/debuffer and you might 'feel' much safer.
  21. I prefer the S/L defense on my DB/Regen Scrapper. The extra layer of mitigation makes Regen a lot less clicky.
  22. Put me down for Dexx my Plant Control/Thorny Assault Dominator. Surprisingly my only alt with any of those power sets. I may level up a Savage Melee alt and swap but no inspiration just yet.
  23. Meant my preference is the blaster. 😁😁😁
  24. My Elec/Time Blaster (Epoch Prime) could use that TF badge. If it works better for others I can run my Elec/Elec Controller, Elec/Elec Tank, or Claws/Elec Scrapper. BTW, great pics from today all. That was a really big spider.
  25. Since I missed the all Dark Theme, I'll bring Jax Saber, my Dark/Katana Tanker.
