I searched this topic to see if anyone has asked and couldn't see any results so sorry if this has been requested already. But would it be possible to get the Carnival of Shadows Big Tops, in St Martial, or any other Carnies adjacent items? Maybe Carnival of light items from First Ward/Night Ward?

You can remove the Spider's Bite Dam/Rec IO with almost no loss, and replace it with Sudden Acceleration KB>KD. Might be worth it if you feel like frag nade is too KBish. *shrug* You could use Agility core paragon instead, for perma (well .7 sec off perma) hasten. Why rectified reticle proc? Other then that looks decent, i prefer a crab with pets myself but with that amount of def/res you'll be a tough nut to crack. Crab on brother.

This reply isn't on topic but i'd like to reply to this comment anyways. Squishy protip, don't run away from from the tank, fleeing across the map and expect them to get the aggro off of things chasing you. Run TOO the tank.

Not really, no. Many powersets have skippable powers. Leaves room for pool powers. I think part of the enjoyment that i get from CoH is that there are many builds available, some more optimal then others, and learning which ones are worth is a part of the game. I don't think every power needs to be a must have. I'd also add that the only way you're going to get players to pick confront over something else is to remove confront from the powersets, and replace it with something else entirely. Therefore that would still make confront the least picked power, because it would no longer exist. People don't scrapper to taunt things.

Scrapper taunt DOES have a purpose. It's a single target taunt. Works fine.

Well don't look at my i didn't design the game. 😛 I'm also curious why OP thinks that scrapper taunt needs dev time for a fix though, when there are a great many things i can think of that 'need fix' a lot more. Like i could understand this kind of a thread popping up in a years time when the dev team isn't trying to fix a hundred things, like they currently are. But is scrapper taunt really something that needs to be talked about, or is it at the bottom of the list? *shrugs*

There's a great many power across the powersets that fail to have a valid reason to be chosen though, hell there are some powers that outright interfere with a team. I'm looking at you Dimension Shift. I don't see any problem with some AT's or Powersets having 'bad picks' and that figuring out the 'bad picks' is a part of learning a powerset.

I don't really care enough to worry about difficulty of a TF or SF. If it feels easy i sometimes ask to bump it up one. If folks want to speed run it they can feel free to speed ahead, i'll catch up in my own time. I personally don't feel the need to race around in this game and am too old nowadays to do so. I guess it would be polite to ask for such, i don't think speed runs should be the default.

Kay i guess i just don't understand what that means then. Like why is there RC1, RC2, RC3, RC4? Is that not just a pile of unreleased things? Why is RC1 not released if we are up to RC4? I'm not a game developer so most of this stuff is comparable to being written in a foreign language. 😛

Forgive me if i'm being dense but.. I know all these tanker and broot changes are important and will take some time to get right. But would it be unreasonable to ask that some of the other fixes be propagated to the live server? Such as the Mastermind pet AI tweaks, Grav Control 'impact' fixes for singularity, teleportation bug fix for SoA Spiderling pets, Illusion Control pet customisation. And many others. It kinda feels like all the faffing around with Tanker/Broot changes is holding back a lot of other things at this point. Is there a reason for that that i'm not perceiving?

IMO nope. Spent about two hours in Mercy Isle yesterday leveling a toon a few times. Not one call for a DFB redside. I only saw one other toon in the zone. I'll say this if there's any redsiders that want more redsiders to play. Recruit for a VG using LFG, make yourselves heard. I've never heard of The Conclave or Agents of Ruin. As it stands currently i'm going to move my redsider to blue because of how much of a pain it is to find a team redside. Even if it's a RP eyesore and clearly a villian that doesn't belong Blueside.

What is that? A level headed and sensible comment about Nu Trek? I really respect this comment because it looks at the Trek series as a whole and realises that all of them are different from one another and that one is not ''the superior star trek''. Your points about Disco are spot on, It was a slow burn to begin with, much like every Star Trek TV show was in it's first season. I'd add to that, that in my experience from what i've seen, the ''STD haters'' stopped watching after episode 2 and just continue to blindly hate. As was said in the earlier comments in this thread. Fwiw, the only trek shows i didn't enjoy were TOS and TNG. Boring shows that i use to put me to sleep at night. Like if there's one thing that's guaranteed to make my eyes feel heavy and droopy, it's Shatner monologing.

I understand you don't want to make toons over-powered, but the bonus's you've given examples of ((+5% def and +5% res) and yes i understand they are just examples) are way overpowered. 😛 Edit: In fact, now that i think of it more. These kinds of IO's, +5% defence for example would allow me on several toons to remove defence giving IO sets in favor of more damage, while still remaining at the soft cap. So, it would simply make my toons more overpowered than they already are.

Powercreep would be the very result of these legendary IO's. If it's merely for the feeling of going 'Ooo shiney' then i would disapprove.

Remove the base TP commands, end of story. Folks want to fast travel around they can do it with an investment into long range TP power, Ouro, or travel to their bases the retail ways. Ouro badge wont be obsolete then. Not that i think it is, i've never used those base TP commands. No need too really.

But why though? Your reason for introducing these IO's seems to be ''I remember those days when a VERY RARE IO would pop up on the market, and people would go crazy'' ''Trying to be the first to even get the IO before someone else bought it out'' These don't seem like very good reasons to add unnecessary powercreep to the game.

What if i told ya'll that the world isn't flat and just because it's Winter in one part of the world, that doesn't mean it's Winter all around the world.
