  1. Okay, are you looking to TANK on this build? Or are you looking to just fill your bog-standard support role?
  2. Played cautiously, you can tank almost anything. I once tanked Tower-buffed Lord Recluse on a Fire/Fire/Pyre blaster...

  9. First things first. Have you created an alt named "Brewster" and made him look like Richard Pryor?
  10. Going to assume that your primary reason for 5-slotting RA with Doctored Wounds is for the 5% Rech. If so, look at 5 Slot Panacea for 7.5% Rech. Or, if you can squirrel away another slot from someplace, 6-slot Preventative Medicine for +8.75%. Also, if you take Fighting, take KICK instead of Boxing. With Kick, you can put in a Force Feedback +Rech proc. Won't be VERY useful, but more useful than an unslotted Boxing. Also, something is borked. You have FIVE Ancillary Pools (how else would you get Combat Jumping)? So your build is invalid. I'd also question your failure to use Choking Cloud and your underslotting of Health.
  11. I have a high-recharge PB that I just love to death. While YES, he's got Dwarf form, it's only used as a mule. He's basically Perma-Lightform. I have a nicely kitted out WS too. But I just find her WAY less durable. And on a lot of the teams I run with, by the time I get all my stuff set up, the mobs are dead and we're running on to the next...

  14. The HP and Endurance crash are now 50%. And Perma Lightform is absolute BEASTMODE when built right...
  15. And this is what I'm talking about. I *was* respectful. I simply disagree with you. Strongly. And you have interpreted as "disrespectful" and "sarcastic". Sorry, but neither I, nor anyone else, is responsible for how YOU choose to interpret things. Following that, neither I, nor anyone else, is obligated to allow you to use YOUR personal interpretation to bull your perspectives through, unchallenged. Talking about "which AT is best?" Yes. You can compromise. Talking about tweaking powersets? Yes. You can compromise. Talking about major alterations to the game code, such that we talking about having to curate multiple versions of the game? No. We CAN'T compromise. Because there are reality-based limits on what the dev time and the budget will allow. Talking about impacting how others play, just because YOU define a playstyle as "bad" or "harmful"? Especially when you can simply IGNORE that playstyle and the people participating in it? No. We CAN'T compromise. Quite frankly, I don't care if you recognize my views as "valid". You will or you won't. And that's entirely YOUR problem. If you choose to ignore "You DO NOT get to define how others play this game.", again, ENTIRELY your problem. The only way your say has any actual validity is if you're paying for the server, hosting and the dev/GM time YOURSELF. Until then, you simply have "your opinion". And you know what they say about those. Then ask the devs to address it where you see the problem actually at. Ask them to set up an AE channel and create rules to keep the AE-related stuff limited or off limits in various channels. I've said my piece. If you choose to think it rude/mean/whatever, c'est la vie.
  16. If members of our community leave due to their beliefs (rather than actuality), because they all "know" something, it's a shame. But it's not harm. Nobody is responsible for the beliefs of another. Whose responsibility is it to make sure new players are exposed to more of the game than just PL? Again, nobody is responsible for the beliefs/frustrations of others. If you don't like it, don't do it. If you don't like others doing it? Tough. Be very careful about speaking about what "we" want. Except where somewhere has jerrymandered what the term "harm" means.

  18. Basically you play a Brute when you want to be tougher than a Scrapper. Generally (but not always), you play a Scrapper to do more damage than a Brute. And while Brutes generally are 99% of the toughness of a Tank, they generally spend a bit more time...riding the razor's edge on health management. Identically built Tanks will simply bull through and never notice the danger.
  19. If you can get a group to play with you regularly, have everyone go Fire/Rad. EVERYBODY should experience the awesome power of a Fire/Rad mobile Death Patch at least ONCE in their lives. AV: I shall kill y*COUGH*WHEEZE* Fire/Rad1: Look out for the AV: *SIZZLE*THUD* Fire/Rad1: AV.... Fire/Rads2-7: What AV?
  20. It works. It just doesn't display the ring until a slightly higher level. I had this explained to me once. But it's been more than a few years and explanation would resemble me blowing smoke from a nether orifice and saying "BECAUSE!"
  21. Could we please stop using politically loaded terms in passive-aggressive swipes at our fellow players? Unless you've seen the code, not just an in-game info screen, you cannot say this with any sort of actual authority. #StandardCodeRant
  22. There isn't an uninstall per-se. Rename the original folder. Create a new folder with a slightly modified name. Open Regedit and delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tequila Drop Tequila in there and run it.
  23. I'd lookin into BootCamp and dual-loading Windows and MacOS. Failing in that, maybe see if Parallels would support 3D gaming. Failing that, invest in a cheap Windows box and put a cheap video card in.
  24. Have them point out actual, demonstrable "harm" being inflicted. Not just a modified version of "I don't like it." Because people today are entirely too quick to conflate anything they dislike with "harm". And it's known that whingeing LOUDLY and incessantly about it is a generally reliable way of haranguing someone into doing what you want them to do.
  25. Things like XP and invasion events are one thing. The methods for this stuff have existed since Live. Removal of AE requires actual art assets, etc Sorry, read your post a little too quick. I thought you were saying that setting the AE Xp to nothing would be a challenge. I think adjusting the maps (like turning the doors "off" or removing the NPCs) would be easier than trying to remove all the AE code whole hog. Oh hell naw!
