  1. My go to is always a Blaster, but I prefer them over every other AT. 😄 Really, any AT will be fine as long as you enjoy playing it. As with any content, your damage dealing ATs do better solo vs lower damage ATs. Whether you choose a shielded AT (melee - including Sentinels) or not (ranged), is up to you.
  2. I am fond of my Shield / StJ Tanker. Love the larger AOEs, and is just fun to play!
  3. As Arcane stated, it's not a snipe. It has only the normal range as other blasts. You would have to completely turn it into a snipe power, which doesn't fit a "pistol" theme. And then the set would be like every other set too (no thanks). Additionally, Sniper sets are crap - I have yet to find a single build where they are useful. Some may have some attractive bonuses, but at the cost of not even giving the power the proper stats (+Dam, rech, acc, etc) like you would want. Ranged sets are far better. But Piercing Rounds is a cone - and you get an additional ranged AOE set for your build. That means more opportunity for Bombardment, Frozen Blast, Posi's Blast, or Ragnarok, which are far better than any snipe set, imo.
  4. I have noticed this issue with some Blaster snipes too. Solo and being out of normal blast range but within snipe range, of course. I don't remember which powersets i was on at the time, but I've experienced this often enough. I am wondering if has something to do with the secondary effect that a snipe might have. Similar to what was recently reported in another thread with Cryo-Freeze Ray where the hold takes place before the power actually finishes. In this case, the -End debuff of Zapp aggros the mob before the snipe and damage animate / hit.
  5. Hi. A couple things... Blizzard - the Ragnarok Chance for KD proc is useless in it. Blizzard already KDs. Plus, the way you've slotted it you're not even at the ED cap for damage or recharge. It's your nuke, so you really want that. I would put the full Blaster's Wrath set in it. It'll get you max damage and recharge, plus the Chance for Fire Damage proc on top. Then for Ice Sword, you can put 5 Hecatombs (all but the Dam/Rech) to keep your purple set bonuses. Bitter Ice Blast is your heavy hitting ST attack. Again, you're not even getting full damage out of it the way you have it slotted. It should be 4 or 5 slotted for max damage. I'd put 4 Apocalypse (Ranged Purple set) in it - all but the Dam/Rech - add in the Proc for a 5th slot and more recharge, if you want. (You could pull slots from BU, Aim, or Super Jump.) Combat Jumping - the endredux in it is not needed. It's already a low end cost toggle and it's a better mule for another LotG +Global Rech IO. Personally, I would also try to find slotting to add in the Preventative Medicine +Absorb proc to Health or Frigid Protection, and add in the Unbreakable Guard +Max HPs to Tough. - but this is just me.
  6. Hi! You're a Blaster - you can NEVER have too many attacks! 😄 You have a good build and should survive pretty well. Couple little tweaks.... Your Purple sets - slot all but the Damage/Recharge (slotting the Damage instead) so that you are at least at the ED cap of damage on the power. You have enough global recharge that you will be fine on each power - there's roughly half a sec difference on recharge between the 2 and you're better served with more damage. Frozen Aura / Armageddon set - you already have 5 of the 10% recharge bonus so you're not getting anything from the 5th Armageddon slot. (Addressed below.) Blizzard does not need the Chance for Knock Down Proc in it - the power already KDs. Additionally, you're going to want max damage and recharge on that power. Given both this with Frozen Aura and Blizzard, I would.... Take the Rags out of Blizzard altogether and put your 6 Sup Blaster's Wrath from Bitter Ice Blast into Blizzard. (That also puts the Chance for Fire Proc in your AOE nuke and even more overall damage.) Then take your 5 Apocs out of Bitter Freeze Ray and put them into Bitter Ice Blast (again, slot all but the D/R). Then slot Bitter Freeze Ray with 5 Superior Entomb (Hold winter event set) - all but the End/Rech is fine. (It's a slow animation power and you'll rarely use it because of that, except when you want a 3rd hold - which is very handy! Most skip this power, but I love it - can hold EBs with your 3 holds! So, given this, slotting for hold vs damage is more useful.) All of this should get you just over the soft cap on Ranged Defense, make that last Armageddon set bonus useful, and make your nuke stronger and rech faster - all without sacrificing anything else.
  7. I have the mission directly from Maria (ie NOT through Ouro) saved on one of my alts and I use it for all my other alts. Just walking on and off works 100% of the time. Someone told me (and swore by it) that you could do the same with the mission through Ouro - perhaps not, and you do have to spend some time there and/or complete the mission.
  8. Hi. /Ninja doesn't get a Build up power because Shinobi (Stealth toggle) does bonus damage with first strike, and then gives a 20% chance to Crit on all other strikes during combat. So don't skip Shinobi! 🙂
  9. I do not get any of these things. Except, I could see Cryo-Freeze Ray animating the hold before the power finishes activating - this has been something that has plagued holds over the years and has been fixed in a lot of cases - perhaps Cryo-Freeze Ray needs to be looked at too. Otherwise, everything else you describe could come from a slowly failing graphics card. When mine begin failing, graphical glitches like what you describe would happen, then eventually zone geometry would stretch or fail, and then eventually character geometry too. ...something to think about and watch, just in case.
  10. Hi @Freakycruz, and welcome back to the game! Too many attacks come way too late in your build. You don't need Tough/Weave so early and you'll struggle to run them before Frigid Protection - and you'll want more EndMod in it as well. 3 Perf Shifters should do (E, E/Acc, E/Rech) plus a single Perf Shifter +Endmod proc in Stamina with your Numi (or Pancea is even better) in Health. Bitter Ice Blast - your heavy hitter should be taken as soon as you can get it at lvl 18. Blizzard should be taken as soon as you can get it too (lvl 26). Bitter Freeze Ray should be taken much earlier as well so you can stack it with Freeze Ray to hold bosses (that's 100% damage mitigation vs trying to let your weaker defenses do the work). Frozen Aura is a great damaging PBAOE and should be taken as soon as you can get it at lvl 30. I like Frost Breath while most do not. So, if you're taking it, you should still try to put earlier in your build, but I would prioritize the others above first. You'll struggle leveling this build up or playing it when ex'd down. Get your attacks earlier and take the fighting pool later - in the 30s is fine. I'd also push Scorpion Shield to the 30s as well too. Combat Jumping and Kick can also come later as well to help you get more attacks in earlier. A Blaster's best defense is it's offense!
  11. If your powerset (aka primary or secondary powers) is not what you want, you cannot respec out of them - you'll have to make a whole new character. If it's just pool powers or powers within your powersets, then yes, you can respec out of them, but you cannot change your primary or secondary powersets.
  12. Check your alignment. Are you Villain trying to access Hero zones? Or are you a Hero trying to access Villain zones? If either case, you will not see the teleport option to the other factions zones. Make sure you are either Vigilante or Rogue. Most likely, you have set them up correctly, but are just not the right alignment to access/see the zones. You can visit Null the Gull in Pocket D (Villainside, the bird on top of the truck) and you can switch alignments easily through him. Additionally, Teleporters do not need power or control anymore. Read some of Dacy's posts above for more details.
  13. Yes, I start with a maxed out build and I will slot it that way as I level up. I will slot my Event IOs, ATOs, and PvP IOs as level up too. Reward merits are easily turned into inf for buying them or just outright purchasing them through the merit vendor if too expensive on the market. SOs and generic IOs are fillers up to lvl 25. Maybe another low level cheap set, but typically not. If there are Purples in my build, I will use an appropriate other set until lvl 50 when I will yank them out and plug in the purples. Generally, all that is left as soon as I turn 50 is to Catalyze Event and ATOs to "Superior" and Boost any purples or other IOs I may want.
  14. Yes, both Atlas Medallion and Portal Jockey can be soloable, but are certainly easier with a team. You can find requirements here: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Hero_Accolade_Badges Clearly, the explores and plaques can be soloable. Here are tips for the other badges required: Atlas Medallion: Spelunker badge - Mission badge for rescuing the Fortune Teller easily solo'd through Ouro. level 10-14 range. Contact = Dr. Trevor Seaborn Silver Bullet and Slayer badges - for defeating werewolves and vampires. Can hunt them outright in Striga. Wolves are there all the time, Vampires come out at night. Can join a Moonfire TF in Striga with a full team and the first 2 missions are defeat-alls of vamps and wolves. If you need any more after the TF, you can easily hunt them. Portal Jockey: Multidemensional and Shrouded Explore badges are unique and found only in certain missions - just walking onto the map and walking off will award them - you will most likely NOT get a "Badge Earned" notification floating across the screen or yellow text in your chat window as usual. But after exiting the mission (don't even have to complete it), look at "Most Recent" badges and you'll see them there. Multidimensional - can be obtained through Ouro. Level 40-44. Contact = Tina MacIntyre. Mission is an outdoor forest Hydra mission. (Again, should be able to just walk onto map and walk off.) Shrouded - can be obtained through Ouro. Level 45-50. Contact = Maria Jenkins. Mission is an outdoor city mission "Disrupt Nightstar's Ritual." (Again, should be able to just walk onto map and walk off.) Dimensional Warder - Defeat all 14 of the Praetorian EBs/AVs, and there are several ways to do this: To defeat Anti-Matter Run Tina MacIntyre's story arc "The Anti-Matter Collision / The Instant Army" lvl 40-45 through Ouro. Run solo or with team. Join Keyes Reactor Incarnate Trial and and be successful in defeating AM at the end. To defeat all other Praetorians: Run Maria Jenkins' story arc "A Hero's Hero" (lvl 45-50) either through her directly - can run solo or with a team. (Can run through Ouro, but I suggest running through her directly as she also gives one-off AV/EB missions that you will need If running solo, for easiness and speed, just run at -1 or 0 x 1. They will be EBs and as a blaster you should be able to defeat each one. You will get all of them except Seige. Maria Jenkins offers a lot of one-off missions where you face Praetorian AVs/EBs... just run them until you get the mission "Take Down the Warworks" and Seige is in that one and you can defeat as an EBs. Join a Behavioral Adjustment Facility (BAF) iTrial and you will get him in that. You can get most of the other AVs by joining Incarnate Trials except: Dominatrix and Infernal - they can only be gotten in Maria Jenkins' story arc or her one-off missions. TIP: Visit Null the Gull in Pocket D and you can check on your dimensional warder progress to help you see who you need.
  15. Are you 1000% sure you don't already have it? Sometimes badges are sneaky and we don't see them awarded. 😄 ...just the only thing I can think of as to why you didn't see it awarded and this sometimes happens to me. 🙂
  16. Just tested this.... You get the badge from helping to complete SOMEONE ELSE'S Alignment mission that is a different alignment than you are. (I am sure a morality mission of different alignment would award it too, but did not test this as I have no one near ready for one yet.) I ran your scenario: I was Rogue, my alt account was Vigilante - both had no alignment points at all towards anything. My Vigilante selected a Vigilante tip and we completed it. My Rogue got the badge. I then did the opposite - my Rogue ran a Hero tip and my Vigilante got the badge.
  17. There is currently no information on the drop rate of Threads, but clearly, they drop faster than Shards. Enhancements DO drop in AE, but also, there is no specific data on the drop rate upon mob defeat. There is only pre-i27 info on the type of enhancement dropped - before they got rid of Training Origin enhs. So basically, no current data there either. And personally, I would include bosses. Even if it takes twice as long to kill a boss vs. an LT, you get triple the XP - so it's worth it. (See here for XP tables: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Experience) And... don't dismiss tankers... even they can handle a boss fast enough now. Just my unsolicited vote. 😄
  18. Hi. Sorry you're having issues. As normal, you should have end reduction in all your powers (normal SO's worth of 33-38%), and you should also be getting some end recovery from other set bonuses on top. The build I put up for you as example, has Recovery of 4.64 end/s and End Use of 1.58 end/s... that's 3.06 end/s extra AFTER toggles that is available for cycling your attack chain. Normally, 2.0 - 2.5 end/s is what you need (I prefer closer to 2.5 for typical hard, fast, and continual chaining). When making this build, all toggles were "on" including Sprint but except Fly. However, 3.06 end/s should still be enough to handle your attack chain, and all toggles, including Fly as well. Also, do you have the Atlas Medallion and Portal Jockey accolades? Those give extra Endurance and are a big help too. I get those on all my toons and they are always factored into my builds. But if you don't have them, that may also by why you are seeing a difference. Without seeing your build, I cannot give you specific help. But if you want, for a quick easy adjustment, you could swap out the +Absorb proc in Health and slot a Miracle +Recovery IO, and then in Rise of the Phoenix, slot another Performance Shifter +End. If you still need more after that, then I'd have to see your specific build to offer any further suggestions.
  19. As mentioned above, Electric Blast has a toggle too and with the name "Voltaic Sentinel," it almost begs to be used by a Sentinel. 🙂 However Voltaic Sentinel does have an end cost to that toggle whereas Swap Ammo doesn't. But in your counting of toggles above, you do need to count your travel toggles of Fly and Super Jump as they are pre-requisites for getting Evasive Maneuvers and Acrobatics. Sure, you could get the clicky attacks, but if you're going for "Max" toggles, you'll want to get these travel powers and count them. And you might as well count Sprint and Ninja/Athletic Run too. (21 toggles total,) And just plugging these powers into Mids real quick.... You can get all these toggles, but you will only have 2 attacks from your Primary (one will be low level at least) and then either Boxing / Kick from Fighting as a prerequisite and either Chain Fences / Havoc Punch from your Epic Pool (also pre-reqs). While I get the concept and fun of it, it may be a PITA to play (and maybe even boring too). If you want to actually use all the toggles, you will be chasing endurance for set bonuses like mad. Not saying you can't or shouldn't do this - just giving a heads up warning. If you do make it - share your build. I'd love to see what you ultimately come up with. 😄
  20. Every zone has multiple neighborhoods - and that is the correct term and quotes not needed. But each zone also only has 1 hospital. Yes, perhaps some neighborhoods are "medical districts" with matching hospital names - as in your 2nd pic you shared, which is clearly a bug/typo. But also, some hospital names do NOT have to match the neighborhood name - like in your 1st pic you shared - there is no reason Chiron Medical Center can't be in the neighborhood of St. Elegis - this is all perfectly fine. As for the Rogue Isles and Praetoria, the healthcare systems there are all run by the ruling regimes - so of course, they all have the same name.
  21. Heh! The words were so close to the skyline I didn't notice them. True. The 2nd pic is incongruent and should be consistent. But the first pic, there is no issue.
  22. THIS! ^^^ I 2nd this whole-heartedly. Intuition Radial can be more useful to a lot of blasters over Musculature. I have it on my Ice/Fire/Fire and many others.
  23. Hi. Yes, critters having a ranged attack required for full XP is for the very reason that you are not wanting it - mobs will just rush into your PBAOEs for easy kills. Devs are against that, hence the the requirement if you want full XP. Just putting in one ranged attack is good enough and typically, mobs will still close in on you after they use that ranged attack. As for drop rates, the wiki says this: For recipes: Minion = 2.666667% Lieutenant/Sniper = 5.333333% Boss/Elite Boss = 7.999999% Archvillain = either 100% or 0%, depending on the AV For Invention Salvage: Minion = 8% Lieutenant/Sniper = 10.64% Boss/Elite Boss = 25% Archvillain = either never or 43.22%, depending on the AV There seems to be no Min/Lt/Boss level drop rate info for anything else, except Incarnate shards which are assumed (by testing and not by stated Dev facts): Min = 1 in 1000, LTs = 1 in 150, Bosses = 1 in 50. So, you do get higher drop rates for bosses. Whether it's worth it to you or not to add them into your group is up to you and haw fast you want to go, and how fast you can kill them.
  24. I don't see this as a bug. Most hospitals are NOT named after the neighborhood. I have a St. Luke's Hospital near me and no town, city, or neighborhood are named "St. Luke's." These names could just be the name of the company that owns/runs them.
  25. You should update to the latest vidiotmaps version that shows the added tunnels, lab, and badge location....
